Hotel Tropico Playa Reviews
" Thought this hotel was wonderful.... "

Thought this hotel was wonderful. Across the road from the beach right in the heart of the resort.
The rooms were large and the staff friendly.
The hotel consists of three blocks, the front block had stunning views over the sea and prom area, the second block also has good views over the bay and a mini golf, the back block however looks at the back of other buildings. Some of our party stayed here and where disappointed. The back block is also not for the infirm as there is no lift so you must use the stairs.
Overall though I would recommend this hotel and I myself am going back at the beginning of July and looking forward to it.

" Could not fault the hotel clean,... "

Could not fault the hotel clean, tidy, food was great with a great choice of meals, rooms cleaned daily and ideally situated for the beach and shops. If there was 1 thing I had to fault about the hotel with it would be the swimming pool was too small.

Travelled through panorama who I thought did not put themselves out at all. There were no where to be seen when we arrived at the airport, we had to look all over the airport were they could of sent reps to meet people to tell them where the bus was waiting, which would of saved time instead of waiting for everyone to find the bus.
<br><br>
Felt they didn’t encourage people to more with their holiday. But overall a great holiday would go again nice pleasant quiet resort went to Magalluf for the nightlife which was 3 euro by taxi.

" We were not to impressed by our tour... "
Submitted By: Mr D Hind
We were not to impressed by our tour operator as we could not find them when we arrived, they were half way round the airport. We were then not allocated a bus, and had to wait until one was found.
<br><br>
Eventually we arrived at the hotel where we were allocated our room which was exactly what we had requested, top floor with a sea view it was great .
<br><br>
We found the food was excellent and varied. Rooms were cleaned every day. The evening entertainment was great.
<br><br>
The hotel was situated in an excellent position right on the sea front with everything close at hand.
<br><br>
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Jam packed with pubs and clubs not forgetting BCM’s where you pay 15 euros and the bar is free all night (including mind blowing cocktails) you are certain to party hard. Not in the party mood one evening then take advantage of the vast amount of restaurants from Chinese to Indian or Spanish to your regular fish and chips, the options are endless. The best thing is, it’s all in walking distance, no taxi’s or bus routes to work out everything is there even your theme nights and water parks.

The beach is sandy as ever, the sea blue as the sky with plenty of activities to spend your money on and at a fair price to. My mate and I stayed at a self catering hotel cause lets face it if your not walking in at 6 in the morning then your never up for breakfast, so if your going for the booze then s/c comes highly recommended. Our facilities were of high standard as well, all the kitchen modcons two living quarters and a bathroom that didn’t flood every time you brushed your teeth.

All in all it’s the best 2 weeks I’ve ever spent on hols so far and will definitely be going back. Have fun rockers woohoo!

" The Tropico Playa Hotel was lovely.... "
Submitted By: Mrs L C Craig
The Tropico Playa Hotel was lovely. Only a 3* but it was clean. Helpful staff. Air-conditioning in every room for free (great!). The hotel is just across road from the beach. The furniture in room was basic but comfortable with large bathroom and all spotless. The food was good, maybe not a massive choice but enough to get something to suit. The only complaint was the small entertainments area, which was full of smokers and for a non-smoker was hard to stand. There are plenty of shops and bars nearby.

The flight was with Volar air. This is the first time I have ever been given a sandwich of dry bread with a thin slice of either process cheese or pressed turkey as food and a glass of water! A cup of tea was £1!
<br><br>
On arrival the reps didn’t know which bus to send us to and after the third bus we were finally put on the right one. After a two-hour change in flight time, then a 3-hour delay at airport we arrived at our hotel at 5.30am to receive an invite to the welcome meeting at 10.30am! (We lost a day of holiday with delays) needless to say we didn’t go.
<br><br>
The only tour we booked with the rep was a Pirate show, which we were informed we had to make our own way there by taxi and to meet at the local pub for 7.30pm. We arrived at a bar in a seedy area to be told the show didn’t start till 11pm and that we wouldn’t be going to the venue till 9.30pm so much for rushing for 7.30pm.
Even on departure home the rep sent us to the wrong check- in desk. So overall impression of holiday company was not great.!
An enjoyable holiday, don’t know if I would go with the same holiday company again.

Rooms were adequate size some with lovely views. The staff were friendly and eager to help. Food was varied with some English and Spanish choices. The only complaint would be the pool it's a little small and is sheltered so can be cold at times. Entertainment in the evening caters for both children and adults.
It's literally across the road from the beach and a stones throw from the main shops and restaurants of the resort. Would highly recommend this hotel and should be rebooking for next year.
