Royal Son Bou Hotel Reviews
" This is an excellent choice of hotel... "

This is an excellent choice of hotel for families.
The beach only 150m away is clean and the sea-water is crystal clear. The Apartment was nice, clean and spacious. The Food was very good. The Pool is great and there is a good range of sports and games activities.
The biggest assets is the facilities for the kids. The hotel-run kids club cater for all ages, even babies. There is a good sized play park (which is screened from the sun) with a climbing castle, bouncy castle, labyrinth, art + craft room, sports and games, and baby club for the under 4s with ball pools, toys and even cots for sleepy little ones. The children’s club team were excellent with the children and make a real effort to keep them amused with games, pony rides, and all sorts of activities. The club revolves around 3 characters which all the children seemed to love - Kiko, Cooqui, and Hooky. The same team will provide entertainment in the evening and they do a fantastic job all in all.
Some other reviews have mentioned noise problems, but as we were the top floor we had no cause for complaint.
The staff were very friendly, and helpful. We would happily return to this hotel as it exceeded our expectations by far.

Kikoland is good but definitely great for children 3+ yrs, but they do have an area for toddlers and staff to look after them. We went around the toddlers pool, which was lovely, perfect depth our daughter loved it really boosted her confidence with water.
The place is lovely and clean and the maids do a great service however, be aware Germans seem to love this place so Brits were a bit out numbered and staff can speak a good level of English.
The restaurant was buffet style which offered a wide range but mainly catered towards German type food. Whilst we ate a couple of times we left our daughter with the staff as they offer this free to enable you to eat your meal and relax. Ideal for a quiet holiday with no stress with a toddler who was happy.
Beach was nice and clean, child friendly leaving your buggy at the top and a little walk down then to the sea. There was a Chinese, Irish bar, English bars, and around 5 restaurants we ate out at and where ever you go they love children and are helpful and friendly.
Nice Perfume shop and a Lacoste shop but other than that, we got the bus into the town Mahon from Son Bou - but it gets really really busy so when we went another time we got a taxi, but just make sure you agree a cost beforehand and we had no problems at all.
The town Mahon has lots of cobbled streets shops and supermarkets to stock up and a Burger King but that was very quiet though really and we found a lovely shop selling gorgeous ice cream.
