Adriatico Hotel

For the price we paid (AUD 98 for a double room with bathroom and breakfast) we were happy with the standard of this hotel. The room (room no. 4) was quite small but suited our needs for our 2-night stay. The bathroom was bigger than we had expected for Venice and clean (and I am a very fussy person!). The Hotel Adriatico is a basic B&B very close to the train station in Venice. The central location makes it very easy to get about. The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean. You are paying a fairly cheap price for a B&B in Venice and so the accommodation is basic. If you are on a budget, this makes a good option for a B&B. I agree with the comments about the soft beds - bear this in mind if this is a problem.

We know that Venice is an expensive city, but when we saw the picutes of the hotel on its website and read the reviews here we imagined it would be a much better place. The room we got was disappointing, with a low ceiling that made it feel like the room was even smaller. The bathroom had an awful smell. It made us sick everytime we had to use it. Tiny shower, but that is common in most budget hotels in Europe. On the other hand location is great and breaksfast was good. But we wouldn't stay there again.

after reading a lot of good reviews i stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. After asking for a twin room for my friend and I we arrived to find ourselves with a double. The bed was like a rock and the room was very small not much room left after opening our suitcases on the floor! the breakfast was very average... croissant, roll and tea, coffee or juice. If arriving by train the location couldn't be bettered and the vaperetto stop is 2 mins away. the walk to the rialto took about 25 mins.

The location of this hotel is great, about 3-5 min from the station on foot, and the price is really good for Venice, but the beds were the most uncomfortable beds I've slept in in Europe. They were so old, soft, and springy that none of us got a good night's sleep there. I guess if you are the type of person that can sleep any where, you'll have no problems here.

The best thing about this hotel is its location: very close to the train station. The rooms are not so big, but it’s clean and I guess it has been recently renewed. We’ve been really satisfied.

If you are looking for a high standard of simple and economical accomodation, this is it. Clean and well organised with helpful staff. It was a comfortable place to be. Good location & easy to find.

This is a great hotel, very good value for money and really easy to find. - especially from the train station - there are no bridges to cross! The staff were friendly, although a few basic Italian phrases were needed, but that was fine as I like to try to speak the language when I go to another country. The room was very clean with a good showerroom with hairdryer and a view on to the main street which you can see from the front of the hotel. The Adriatico is a clean and inexpensive hotel located in a safe and convenient area of Venice. The staff were pleasant and helpful even if our Italian was a bit rusty. This is an ideal place to stay if it is your first time in Venice as the Hotel is located on a street that is easy to find- perfect if you are travelling from either the train or bus (including busses from the airport) stations.

We arrived in Venice after a long overnight train ride from Paris without a hotel reservation. Tired and bleary-eyed, we were approached by a man at the station who asked if we needed a place to stay. Normally, I ignore these "hotel hawkers" but we decided to give this place a try, and are we ever glad we did!
