This hotel CANNOT be faulted in any way... I travelled with my husband and 3 children aged 11....9 & 3. The children were absolutely delighted with the facilities as were my husband & I. The buffet style meals were fantastic every breakfast through to dinner with a choice to suit everyone (they also provided a special area just for the kids buffet)
The staff were great, rooms immaculate, pools were great too. But the jewel in the crown for us was the private beach.... tropical blue waters and beautiful white sand which was cleaned every night. We never had to leave the hotel ( well I did but only to buy a new handbag Hee Hee). This hotel in our opinion was so good we have already booked to return next year ( and believe me ...I am a bit of a snob when it comes to hotel quality .... I save hard all year so I like a bit of quality !!!) I personally would rate this as a 4 ****

We have just returned from a week at Marina Corfu and it was fantastic we are planning on going back next year!!! My only fault was that we got dropped at the wrong hotel and had to carry our luggage across the beach!!
The staff were fantastic and the food was great. I love seafood and there was loads of choice my husband on the other hand loves english food and he was also spoilt for choice. The entertainment was great and if you have kids I would highly recomend this hotel as they apeared to have activities on every hour!!! We had a great stay thank you to all the staff

Just spent a week in the Corfu Marina with 5 other members of my family ages 2-64. We found this Hotel amazing and had a fantastic holiday. The Hotel was spotless. The rooms were large enough to accomate 4 beds and again were spotless. The food quality and quantity was amazing the choice was great and there was even a childrens buffet every night. We have a fussy eater in our party and he managed to eat tremendously. I have never been in a Spanish hotel where the staff were so friendly even the bar staff. The entertainment was very good, so good that we stayed in and watched it every night , something we have never ever done before on holiday. We found plenty of room around both swimming pools and on the fantastic beach.
The kids joined in with the games when they wanted to and once again the entertainment team were amazing. We were so impressed we are going to book again for next year. When we arrived home we realised we had left our daughters teddy at the hotel, once again not a problem after emailing the hotel they located the teddy and forwarded it on to us. Last of all the nachos at the pool bar were fab.

Just spent a week at the Marina Corfu and had a fantastic time . Paid for 3* and got
3*+.
The hotel was kept spotless , the staff were incredibly friendly , food was as good as I have ever had on an all inclusive basis (that includes 5* carribean).
The entertainment was great some nights and ok others but overall enjoyable.
The entertainment staff done a fantastic job with the kids .
The beach is a little pretty cove , but can be seen on many websites and brochers so its a bit pointless moaning its too small when you get back.
The sea was a little cold but you would expect that at the start of summer in May , but once your in your fine. There was jellyfish in the cove but with a snorkel and mask on you could just swim around them . Even if you get stung it dont hurt that much and a little vinager will sort it out.
The pools get busy , but to be honest I can go to my local pool any day of the week and swim but its not so easy to swim in gin clear water with fish around my way so thats what we done .
Please take a snorkel and try it out , its great fun . I didnt really understand why people were trying to save sunbeds round the pool from 7am when the beach is so close and inviting.
I watched people sitting in the rain saving spaces around the pool at 7am , they must have forgot they was on holiday.
I really could not find a fault with this hotel and its facilities , after reading some of the reviews I just wonder what people expect from a 3 star hotel , if you want 5 star then pay for 5 star.
I will be returning to this hotel .
If you are realistic in what to expect from a 3* complex you really will not be dissapointed.
Well done Marina Hotels for providng a fantastic Holiday , you all deserve a pat on the back.

Having recently returned from a 2 week stay at Marina Corfu hotel I can say what a wonderful holiday my wife and I had. Unfortunately I have some criticism in relation to Direct Holidays'. Upon arrival we were off loaded at the sister hotel after midnight and had responsibility in carrying our suitcases across to the Marina Corfu. Upon registration no facilities were made available to us, albeit we were ALL INCLUSIVE, my request for certain facilities, such as water or food, was not granted and I was told by staff that any items I wanted would need to be purchased away from the hotel. Being unfamiliar to the area I believed this an unsuitable answer.
The hotel complex is without doubt excellent - I do however have a difficulty in accepting that small plastic tumbler glasses are suitable throughout both hotels, inside as well as outside near to swimming pools. I would suggest 1/2 pint glasses and 1 pint glasses be made available to adults within the bar area alone.
YES - YES - YES there is a difficulty with sun beds that are locked up until 09.00 hours each day. YES they are reserved with towels but NO management do not do anything to resolve the issue. YES they should remove towels from unattended beds.
The biggest difficulty I met was the activation of what I believe to be the 'FIRE' Alarm at 04.00 hours one morning. When a member of staff leaves reception area and attends at sister hotel to find out what to do, leaves a lot to be desired. No member of staff carried out a role call of patrons, FIRE SERVICE did not attend and all that was done was, we who had evacuated the hotel in an emergency, were told to re enter and return to our rooms. Totally unsatisfactory controlled.
All staff were found to have an excellent attitude towards visitors.

Just back from one week at the Marina Corfu Hotel in Cala Egos and, thought it worth mentioning, this is a fantastic hotel if you are looking for a quiet, beach holiday.
My partner and I decided last minute to go away for a week and, wanted somewhere hot and relaxing, without having to spend half the holiday travelling - This was exactly what we were looking for.
Our flight out was actually a couple of minutes early in leaving and, we had hired a car at Palma Airport and drove 45 minutes to Cala Egos. We left Edinburgh at 3:45pm (our time), and had checked into our hotel, unpacked and gone out for dinner by 9:30pm (local time).
The Hotel was spotless and the staff were magnificent - very helpful, polite and attentive.
We both found the food selection to be okay - I'm vegetarian and they had a good enough selection to keep me going most lunch times and evenings.
The beach was beautiful - particularly on our first day and last day when the waters were absolutely crystal clear and you could see lots of different fish swimming. We spent quite a bit of time in the sea on lilo's and snorkelling which was an absolute must as it was so hot! .... The water was very pleasant and you could swim our 'float' right out to the end of the bay (watching out for the starfish boats coming in and out).
We had one day where the water was quite choppy (there had been a storm during the night), which left the water churned up and you couldn't even see your feet - unfortunately we both got stung by jellyfish which had been pushed onshore by the storm.
Anyway - all in all this was a great holiday and we would definitely go back to this hotel again!
The only small negatives we would mention are:
- There were constantly people smoking on the beach and leaving cigarette butts on the sand (disgusting).
- The evening entertainment was good a couple of nights and very poor another couple.
- Our flight home was delayed by 7.5 hors and nobody from FlyGlobespan updated us at any stage as to what was happening. I even called their British number and they told me to speak to somebody on the 'Handling Desk' in Palma Airport!

Have just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel. Me and hubby were having a week without the kids and were looking forward to some relaxation and peace and quiet. Well all I can say is if you want peace and quiet do not go to this hotel.
Unfortunately we had a bad start to the holiday. Palma airport was a nightmare. 2 hour wait for luggage then another 3 hours sorting out car hire.
Anyway we arrived at this hotel feeling stressed so that was a bad start.
We were on the first floor so even though we asked for a nice view was given a room where you could not really see much at all. Worst off all it was right next to the entertainment so there was lots of noise. When we asked for a room change the lady on reception was really not very helpful and told us it could take to middle of the week before they had a better room available. Hence to say we ended up staying in the room we were given.
Entertainment or music is on all day and I have to say it did irritate me after a while. Would have been lovely to sit by the pool and have peace and quiet.
The food was ok quite allot of choice but after suffering from a nasty bout of "holiday tummy" I stuck to chips.
Hotel was clean and rooms were cleaned each day but for some reason our sheets never got changed. I wasn’t happy about this as when I was ill with bad tummy I had a temperature as well and sweated lots.
All in all was ok but I would not go back to this hotel again.

We've just returned from a 7 night stay at this Hotel and would like you to know what a lovely time we had.
The hotel is spotless. The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis by very, very friendly staff (a credit to the hotel). The rooms are basic but large with a nicely decorated bathroom. The room has a colour TV with some English channels. The room is also air conditioned or heated as you wish.
As stated in some of the other reviews, the sun beds do get taken early but anyone who's ever been on holiday abroad will understand this happens everywhere! There are 4 pools in all 2 behind the beach and 2 just outside the restaurant. Both are cleaned every morning and my 3 kids had a great time in and out of the water.
The beach is nice, but small, and fun to go and have a paddle if you wish. The current was a little strong during our stay and the water was reasonably clear (I've seen better in Majorca!) but we still enjoyed it anyway.
The food was basic but enjoyable. A wide variety for breakfast and the evening meal (we ate at the pool bar for lunch which was very good). The restaurant staff were also very, very friendly and efficient.
Entertainment was good one night, bad the next but we still had a good time as all the other guests were friendly and created a fun atmosphere.
Overall this hotel is very good value for families and I would recommend it to anyone. If you've been all inclusive in Spain before this hotel will feature top of the list (I've been on a few!)

We're just back from 10 days all inclusive at the Hotel Marina Corfu and we all had a really good time.
There were 8 of us in total, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 kids aged from 6 to 12 [they're not all ours!]
We had two adjacent rooms and when they're kitted out to sleep four they're a little cramped. We had to store our suitcases on the balcony which wasn't too bad except for when it rained on a couple of days. Also getting four ready in a tight space was a daily challenge. Having said that we only slept and got ready in them so it didn't bother us that much. They were cleaned daily by very friendly maids!
We thought this was one of the best all inclusive restaurants we've eaten in. After 10 days there's going to be some repetition but there was always sufficient choice for our varied tastes to be catered for. None of us came back any lighter than when we got there!
The hotel facilities are good. There are two main bars next to the two separate pools both of which have shallow sections for the younger kids. The all inclusive food served by the pool is basic but enjoyable.
All of the hotel staff were really helpful and friendly and we can't say enough good things about the Entertainment crew. They work really hard to make your stay enjoyable and there's a range of activities each day for every age group if you want to join in and they're not pushy if you don't want to either. Stefan and his gang definitely made our time more fun.
There is a range of night time shows mainly performed by the Entertainment Team but they do have a good selection of visiting shows and the popular kids disco kicks it all off
If we were being really picky the things that irked us while we were there were: -
1. The wait for the lifts at the busy times. Two lifts each with a maximum of 6 persons for a hotel with six floors and 200+ rooms is not enough although the climb up the stairs was a form of exercise
2. The daily sun bed challenge - there are signs saying it is forbidden to reserve beds but this is not policed. The beds are chained and padlocked until 9am when the race is on for your space [There are some better beds too and these are quickly snapped up!]. Allowing people to reserve their space with chairs and then replacing them with beds after 9am makes a mockery of the no reservation policy so everyday it’s a lottery. I've not come across a decent method of dealing with this but this was a strange way of carrying on
3. There are times in the restaurant where the need to keep people moving means the table clearers take your plates before you've finished with them. It’s funny to start with but gets a little frustrating if it happens regularly
Apart from these niggles we'd thoroughly recommend this hotel. Its location is great, its facilities are spot on, and the entertainment is great. We will go back to the Hotel Marina Corfu soon.

Just returned from Marina Corfu hotel and i would definatly say that with out a doubt it was the best holiday so far.
all through the holiday we did not see the kids. through the day they were in the kids club or with their new friends they met and every time we seen them they had stories to tell us about how great the kids club was!
The entertainment at night was good, the queen tribute band was a howl!
The hotels staff were very friendly and always had smiles on their faces.
The beach in the resort was beautifull but the only fault i could pick is the amount of jellyfish there were on certain days.
Bars, Restaurants and Shops were just a couple of minutes up the road and also there was a kids go-karting area which was great, we went every night after tea to put time in for the entertainment.
The rooms were spotless and the beds were very comfortable.
On Departure from the hotel the staff are very fast and efficient to organise your transport to the airport.
Food selection was awesome!
booked again to go on the 10th of august and i tell you i cant wait!

We were a bit worried about going to this hotel due to some of the reviews, but we had a fantastic time. The hotel was really clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic. The children's and adult entertainment was very good. The beach is really close, just down some steps.
Would recommend it to anyone. A bit of a trek into Cala'D Or but there are plenty or taxi's which are cheap.

What a wonderful hotel and pleasant resort. We thoroughly enjoyed a family holiday at the Marina Corfu at the beginning of July 2007. Our party of 12 ranged from the age of 11 to 81.
The hotel is clean, well located with its own beach and cove and many pools (4 I think!).
Although the hotel was busy with families when we went, I wouldn't say it was too noisy or brash. The hotel is certainly more upmarket than some all inclusive hotels I have stayed at, infact overall it was the best one we have used.
We found all the staff very pleasant and helpful, especially Ramon in the restaurant. The food is excellent, especially breakfast which has a tremendous range on offer and is of a very high quality (no streaky bacon available, just lean back pieces). Some evenings, carvery meats were available including beef, pork, smoked salmon etc. Handy to know such things when you are all inclusive.
The evening entertainment was mixed, some evenings excellent and others ok but there are other areas to sit if you don't want to watch it. There was plenty of day time activities if you wanted it. The children are very well catered for.
The sunbed saga didn't actually affect us as we are not sun worshippers. When we did need sunbeds or chairs though, we generally found some. My view on this is, if people got them as and when they were going to actually sit/lay on them, there wouldn't be a shortage. The amount of unused sunbeds covered over with a towel was ridiculous.
The rooms are large with good storage. Another bonus is the fridge in the room which was a 'God send' for my elderly Dad who likes to sit on his balcony with a cup of tea. He was able to keep his milk cold.
The shops, bars, and restaurants close by are pleasant. We noticed how clean the resort was, with no load music booming out. If you like a more refined, peaceful type of location, well this is the place for you. It was a pleasure not to be surrounded by drunkard, brawling louts.
To summarise, this is the ideal hotel and location for a decent family to enjoy a pleasant holiday. Thank you Marina Corfu Hotel and Cala Eghos we will be returning, something we have never done before.

We have had one of our best holidays ever at this hotel. We stayed for seven nights and cannot rate it highly enough really.
Our party was made up of 2 adults and our 2 girls aged 15 and 10. We had 4 beds in our room, and I must admit I had been worried that we would feel cramped and not have enough storage space, but nothing could have been farther from the truth.
The room was a very good size, with plenty of wardrobe space, a fridge and TV (not that we watched it at all). We were not on the pool side of the hotel, which was ok as we found it much cooler and quieter, so it suited us fine.
I think we must have had one of the best and fastest maids to clean our room each day, and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
The sun bed situation was the only down side, but we were quite happy to use the patio type chairs instead of an actual lounger, and had no problem at all in getting one.
The food was excellent (we were 'all inclusive' so this was important), and we can all be quite fussy about what we eat, especially when you rely on someone else doing the cooking. The choice was very good, and we did not find it at all greasy or 'interesting' as I note some other commentators have said. I can only imagine things have improved greatly since their visit and when we went, which was the first week of the school holidays.
The entertainment was very good. The only improvement which could have been made would have been to have a disco for everyone to join in and not just the mini disco for the kids early on in the evening.
We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and plan to return again.

Myself and family have not long retuned home from Hotel Marina Corfu.
I must say, we had a great time and came back about a stone heavier!
The food was fantastic and deserves better than 3*.
We were checked in in speedy time and, as requested by email, had a pool and sea view and rooms together.
The rooms are cleaned everyday and I mean cleaned! Possibly one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in.
This hotel is fantastic for kids, I have a 14 year old and a 5 year old and they loved it and want to go back next year.
The only bad thing I have to say is about the sun beds. This was very badly arranged. You have to get up at 7.30am every morning and pick your position by the pool and place a chair (or 4 chairs in my case) where your choice of position was!!
Then at 9am, (this is when they were unlocked) you had to go back down and replace the chairs with sun beds, and if you didn't get one quick they would be gone!!!!!! Terrible set up!!! There are not enough sun beds for the people and the whole set up should be reconsidered by the hotel.
The entertainment staff we good - god they work long hours!!!!
Kept kids happy and even the hubby loved playing footie with Stefan!
Overall great Holiday, well worth the money!
