We've just returned from a 7 night stay at this Hotel and would like you to know what a lovely time we had.
The hotel is spotless. The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis by very, very friendly staff (a credit to the hotel). The rooms are basic but large with a nicely decorated bathroom. The room has a colour TV with some English channels. The room is also air conditioned or heated as you wish.
As stated in some of the other reviews, the sun beds do get taken early but anyone who's ever been on holiday abroad will understand this happens everywhere! There are 4 pools in all 2 behind the beach and 2 just outside the restaurant. Both are cleaned every morning and my 3 kids had a great time in and out of the water.
The beach is nice, but small, and fun to go and have a paddle if you wish. The current was a little strong during our stay and the water was reasonably clear (I've seen better in Majorca!) but we still enjoyed it anyway.
The food was basic but enjoyable. A wide variety for breakfast and the evening meal (we ate at the pool bar for lunch which was very good). The restaurant staff were also very, very friendly and efficient.
Entertainment was good one night, bad the next but we still had a good time as all the other guests were friendly and created a fun atmosphere.
Overall this hotel is very good value for families and I would recommend it to anyone. If you've been all inclusive in Spain before this hotel will feature top of the list (I've been on a few!)

We have had one of our best holidays ever at this hotel. We stayed for seven nights and cannot rate it highly enough really.
Our party was made up of 2 adults and our 2 girls aged 15 and 10. We had 4 beds in our room, and I must admit I had been worried that we would feel cramped and not have enough storage space, but nothing could have been farther from the truth.
The room was a very good size, with plenty of wardrobe space, a fridge and TV (not that we watched it at all). We were not on the pool side of the hotel, which was ok as we found it much cooler and quieter, so it suited us fine.
I think we must have had one of the best and fastest maids to clean our room each day, and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff.
The sun bed situation was the only down side, but we were quite happy to use the patio type chairs instead of an actual lounger, and had no problem at all in getting one.
The food was excellent (we were 'all inclusive' so this was important), and we can all be quite fussy about what we eat, especially when you rely on someone else doing the cooking. The choice was very good, and we did not find it at all greasy or 'interesting' as I note some other commentators have said. I can only imagine things have improved greatly since their visit and when we went, which was the first week of the school holidays.
The entertainment was very good. The only improvement which could have been made would have been to have a disco for everyone to join in and not just the mini disco for the kids early on in the evening.
We would certainly have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and plan to return again.

We're just back from 10 days all inclusive at the Hotel Marina Corfu and we all had a really good time.
There were 8 of us in total, 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 4 kids aged from 6 to 12 [they're not all ours!]
We had two adjacent rooms and when they're kitted out to sleep four they're a little cramped. We had to store our suitcases on the balcony which wasn't too bad except for when it rained on a couple of days. Also getting four ready in a tight space was a daily challenge. Having said that we only slept and got ready in them so it didn't bother us that much. They were cleaned daily by very friendly maids!
We thought this was one of the best all inclusive restaurants we've eaten in. After 10 days there's going to be some repetition but there was always sufficient choice for our varied tastes to be catered for. None of us came back any lighter than when we got there!
The hotel facilities are good. There are two main bars next to the two separate pools both of which have shallow sections for the younger kids. The all inclusive food served by the pool is basic but enjoyable.
All of the hotel staff were really helpful and friendly and we can't say enough good things about the Entertainment crew. They work really hard to make your stay enjoyable and there's a range of activities each day for every age group if you want to join in and they're not pushy if you don't want to either. Stefan and his gang definitely made our time more fun.
There is a range of night time shows mainly performed by the Entertainment Team but they do have a good selection of visiting shows and the popular kids disco kicks it all off
If we were being really picky the things that irked us while we were there were: -
1. The wait for the lifts at the busy times. Two lifts each with a maximum of 6 persons for a hotel with six floors and 200+ rooms is not enough although the climb up the stairs was a form of exercise
2. The daily sun bed challenge - there are signs saying it is forbidden to reserve beds but this is not policed. The beds are chained and padlocked until 9am when the race is on for your space [There are some better beds too and these are quickly snapped up!]. Allowing people to reserve their space with chairs and then replacing them with beds after 9am makes a mockery of the no reservation policy so everyday it’s a lottery. I've not come across a decent method of dealing with this but this was a strange way of carrying on
3. There are times in the restaurant where the need to keep people moving means the table clearers take your plates before you've finished with them. It’s funny to start with but gets a little frustrating if it happens regularly
Apart from these niggles we'd thoroughly recommend this hotel. Its location is great, its facilities are spot on, and the entertainment is great. We will go back to the Hotel Marina Corfu soon.

We were a bit worried about going to this hotel due to some of the reviews, but we had a fantastic time. The hotel was really clean, the staff very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic. The children's and adult entertainment was very good. The beach is really close, just down some steps.
Would recommend it to anyone. A bit of a trek into Cala'D Or but there are plenty or taxi's which are cheap.

Myself and family have not long retuned home from Hotel Marina Corfu.
I must say, we had a great time and came back about a stone heavier!
The food was fantastic and deserves better than 3*.
We were checked in in speedy time and, as requested by email, had a pool and sea view and rooms together.
The rooms are cleaned everyday and I mean cleaned! Possibly one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in.
This hotel is fantastic for kids, I have a 14 year old and a 5 year old and they loved it and want to go back next year.
The only bad thing I have to say is about the sun beds. This was very badly arranged. You have to get up at 7.30am every morning and pick your position by the pool and place a chair (or 4 chairs in my case) where your choice of position was!!
Then at 9am, (this is when they were unlocked) you had to go back down and replace the chairs with sun beds, and if you didn't get one quick they would be gone!!!!!! Terrible set up!!! There are not enough sun beds for the people and the whole set up should be reconsidered by the hotel.
The entertainment staff we good - god they work long hours!!!!
Kept kids happy and even the hubby loved playing footie with Stefan!
Overall great Holiday, well worth the money!

Lovely hotel, couldn’t fault a thing.
The rooms were really clean and well equipped. The air conditioning and fridge were both a God send considering the heat. We always found the water really hot and had clean towels every day.
All members of staff were lovely, polite and always helpful.
The position of the hotel was fantastic and having the beach on our doorstep made it so easy to keep popping back for a drink or a snack.
The resort itself is lovely and we walked to all the other coves and up to the old fort (which was definitely worth a visit for the views.)
A walk to the marina to see the fantastic boats is a must and there are plenty of good bars on the way!
By the end of the week we were slightly getting fed up with the food but on saying that we still managed to find something from the vast choice on offer.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

My family have just returned from a great stay at Hotel Marina Corfu. Would definitely recommend it.
The All Inclusive is the only way to go - wonderful food, as much as you can eat whenever you want it. The food is lovely, some dishes look a bit... interesting, but there was always something I could find for myself and I am a picky eater!
The hotel is great for families with kids of any age. So much to do, entertainment is permanently going on, sports played throughout the days.
The staff were wonderful and very kind. Always keen to please. Special mention to one of the restaurant staff Ramon, he was so wonderful, always very kind, and helpful! The entertainers were great and the girls were great with the small children.
The bar staff were also very nice and the snacks around the bar were great. They were ready VERY quickly. The only thing I wouldn't suggest there is Chicken burgers because they were pink.
The hotel caters for a lot of languages. At one point there were British, Dutch, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Polish all in the hotel. However, the majority are British and so it is the main language of most of the entertainers.
The sunbeds are reserved, but I didn't find it as much of a problem as some others have. They do not unlock the sunbeds for putting out until 9am so coming down before then is useless although some people came down and put chairs out to get a good position beside the pool.
Breakfast is from 8-10 and we were some of the last risers usually just making it in for breakfast on time. We would leave our towels down on a loungers then and there were usually plenty left. Most days there were always still a few [although some broken] that weren't used.
The beach was BEAUTIFUL. Lovely sea, it was very safe. I did hear about Jellyfish being in it, although I never did see any myself.
There is a train to Cala D'or although personally we didn't bother waiting for it and just went in by taxi, only 5 Euros.
There are a few shops surrounding the hotel and a games place, but overall it is a quiet resort. The people at the hotel were all very nice and got along well, [apart from one incident on our floor on our 3rd night, two men got in a fight. But it was quickly dealt with by guards who got everything sorted.]
Overall it was a fantastic holiday in a beautiful location. The only problem we had was the 4th bed in our room was a camp bed, of pretty bad condition.
If you complain however, they quickly have it removed, so I think that is your safest bet if you find yourselves in the same position as us with 2 adults and 2 older children with a 4th camp bed.
I would definitely recommend it.

Before we booked our holiday, we read all the reviews about this hotel on this website. Of course, the old motto is “you cannot please all the people all of the time”.
But based on what we read, we booked the Marina Corfu for 7 nights on a last minute all-inclusive deal with Seguro holidays. We were not disappointed as everything promised in the brochure was delivered.
The Marina Corfu is a bright, modern, and fairly well equipped hotel, each room having the usual private facilities, TV, phone, private balcony etc, and even a small fridge.
The accommodation was adequate given the short period. Maids changed the towels daily as required and generally the room was kept clean and tidy. We had requested an air-conditioned room with a pool view and our request was granted. The rooms on the other side of the hotel got little sunshine and face onto a road.
The all-inclusive package provides buffet-style breakfast, lunch and dinner plus snacks, ice cream and locally produced drinks. Given that the hotel has to cater for all tastes and nationalities, the choice of food was OK.
English breakfast was available every day as well as cereals, cold meats, salads, cheeses and fruit. For lunch and evening dinner, a varied menu of hot and cold food was provided.
There was always something on offer to suit differing tastes and a visit to the carvery at the top of the dining room is a must if you prefer roasts. The kids had their own buffet area serving nuggets, fingers, burgers, and chips. Downside, choice a bit repetitive, soups not good, occasionally just warm but otherwise OK.
The dining room staff struggled at times clearing away dirty dishes but worked very hard nonetheless despite being under-staffed.
The small Cala Egos beach and sandy cove is situated between the Marina Corfu and the Marina Skorpios hotels and is owned by the council. Scattered around are palm tree sunshades but sunbeds on this beach are chargeable.
Further back is one of the two pool areas with a large pool and a toddler’s pool. Sunbeds within the hotel complex are free and are chained up until 9am to avoid them being reserved but unfortunately this was not too successful.
Adjacent to the large pool is the bar area which opens 11am through to midnight serving snacks, ices and drinks. The second pool is situated on a terrace next to the hotel building. We found both pools were kept clean.
A small team of entertainers provided all the kids and adult games from 11am until 11pm and this team also performed on stage for the adult entertainment starting around 10pm. During daylight hours we had archery, pistol shooting, rifle shooting, football, tennis and volleyball as well as mini-golf competitions.
Within a few hundred metres of the hotel, you have a selection of shops, bars, and restaurants. Also nearby is a small supermarket. To travel into Cala D’or Central, take the mini train return 3 Euros per person or taxi for 5 Euros single.
Lots of bars and restaurants everywhere but for good British grub, try the Dumpling Bar opposite the Cheers bar in Cala D’or Central. Excellent food, great service, and reasonable prices.
Another place to visit is the marina. Boats abound. Some even a lottery winner couldn’t afford! Visit the Smugglers Inn overlooking the marina and enjoy a cool beer or two whilst watching the fish swim in the water.
Overall, this 3star hotel was better than we had envisaged. The staff were friendly and helpful and we rated them as very good. Most spoke many different languages. We would definitely book again.

I have just arrived back home from a 7 day holiday at the Marina Corfu Hotel, and I was very impressed with my stay.
We arrived at the hotel, and within 10-15 minutes, we were sat by the pool with a drink in our hands.
The staff at the reception were extremely patient and quick with the check in, especially as we had 12 family members aged between 11-82, with the eldest being in a wheelchair, which is clear that it has easy access for the disabled.
The hotel itself was very clean, and very well looked after. It had 2 swimming pools, and 2 little ones for the toddlers, with pool-side bars with easy access to food and drinks. The rooms were kept very tidy, and we had a balcony looking over the beach, which was extremely pleasant.
The only complaint I'd have is the showers... They were ok, but the water didn't feel as clean as it should.
The food was very nice, although there wasn't as much choice at lunch times, perhaps due to the fact that snacks were available on demand at the pool-side bars.
The entertainment was superb. Activities throughout the day, and if you have competitive family members, this is a great hotel to go to. Football, water polo, and volleyball played every day, plus killer pool, and killer darts etc to enjoy during the day, and during the night, it was decent, and some nights we had tribute bands.
We had Queen Tribute one night, and The Beatles tribute another night, and they were both fantastic!
Overall, a fantastic stay, and I would definitely love to visit again.

If you have booked this hotel then I do hope you don't have such a bad time as we had!
The food here is awful, unless you like very very greasy cold cafe food!
The smell of sewage around the resort was very strong day and night.
The pool and beach are very crowded. You need to try a reserve a lounger around the pool by 8:00 am if you have any hope of staying around there.
Most of the people staying are of a yobbish nature. This includes the families! Quite a few drunken groups of young blokes/women at night time. Very noisy out and in the hotels.
The rooms are very basic but they are clean.
The staff are ok but are worked off their feet. Prepare to queue at the bars for drinks.
All in all not a good holiday. This place is Butlins in the sun and mostly full of British.
Will not go again and doesn't deserve a 3 star rating.

Just came back from a week’s stay at Cala Egos and had a very good time!
Food was a bit disappointing but most nights you could go out of the hotel to eat somewhere else!
Rooms were kept very tidy and the accommodation was very clean!
A lot of people say it is very close to Cala D' Or but it is an hours walk or half hour run in a taxi (and very dear).
Over all had a very good time!

Very unhappy to hear all the bad comment for people about this resort!
I went with family and a big group of people! I thought it was very family friendly and the entertainment was well done!
Food was lovely and the rooms were very tidy!
It is a very long walk to Cala d Or (took over an hour) and is about 45 mins by taxi
And was very dear!
Went a trip to Palma which is beautiful and had a great time!
The beach is right beside the hotel and was great for the kids!
Would go back and time just hope more good comments keep coming in!

Have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Marina Corfu Hotel.
The food was very very disappointing (especially at lunchtime) and I would not recommend staying at this hotel if you enjoy your food! The carvery at the end of the restaurant wasn't bad, but some of the dishes being served in the main area of the restaurant looked awful and were on the cold side.
Having read such good reviews for this hotel, I was very surprised at the standard of the food. On a positive note, the hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly.
We had a double room on the 5th floor, which had a good view and was of a good size with good wardrobe and storage space. The bathroom was very good and very clean. The TV in the room does have BBC1, BBC2, and ITV, which is very nice to have if you don't want to miss Eastenders! There is also a fridge in the room, which is very handy and a hairdryer in the bathroom.
It is difficult to get a sunbed (especially the softer type ones) and yes, they are all reserved with towels by about 7am. The beach is small and you do have to pay for the sun loungers. The sea is VERY, VERY cold in June!
The pools are ok, but unfortunately some of the non-English guests while we were there were letting their children use the pool as a 'toilet' - not very nice!
The hotel is very basic and could really do with a complete refurbishment. Saying that, we had a nice time whilst there and one good point was that neither of us had any tummy upsets during our stay, even though the food wasn't that good! The entertainment was quite good some nights and not so good other nights.
You can walk to Cala D'or, but it is quite a walk - not about 20 minutes as we read in some other reviews! Alternatively, you can get the little train in. There are a selection of shops, bars, and restaurants in the resort, which is about a 5 minute walk away. It is a very quiet and relaxed little resort.
We had a nice time, but I wouldn't go back to this particular hotel again.

Excellent value for money. Rooms cleaned every day and towels changed every day. Hotel really clean. Food excellent, great variety. Lager and Sangria very nice. No queues which was nice.
Kids disco at night and mini club through the day. Entertainment good. Small resort two minute walk away with shops and bars and restaurants. Plenty for kids to do i.e. trampolines, go-karts etc.
Marina is a fifteen minute walk. Mini train takes you round resort and into Cala D'or for 3 Euros.
The only complaint I can have is regarding the sunbeds at the hotel. People must get up through the night to put their towels out and you cannot get a bed around the two pools after 9.15am. AND the annoying thing is most of the beds stood empty until lunch time apart from the towel on it! The sunbeds on the beach are not unlocked until 10am which is a much better idea.
I would recommend this hotel as long as you do not require a sun bed every day, as you won’t get it unless you get up really early and who wants to do that on holiday.

The hotel itself is clean and fairly modern. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful. The manager cannot speak English so it's not helpful if you need to complain (which we did about the food and loungers!)
Rooms are quite small but adequate, however the walls are so thin we could hear our neighbours snoring and the hotel is only quiet between about 1am and 6am (if you are lucky). If you are a light sleeper take ear plugs. They only supplied one thin pillow and the hotel was filled up so no spares!!
Sun loungers were nonexistent; they were at least 100 chairs short. Towels were out at 6am and sometimes people got nasty and threw them in the pool. Loungers on the beach had to be paid for.
The hotel was mainly filled with British holiday makers.
There were some jelly fish in the sea the first few days but towards the end of the week was OK. Weather wasn't great at first but then became good.
FOOD - YUK! Best describes it. Breakfast was OK, apart from uncooked sausages and bacon. Lunch was just about manageable if you had a salad!
Dinner - impossible to find anything you liked, couldn't even tell what most things were. Anything that was edible wasn't very warm. Snacks were awful, even the chips weren't great and the chicken burger when cooked was pink inside!
We ended up eating out for 5 nights out of 7!
The restaurant was always busy and hard to find a table and I mostly had to clear one myself to sit down and then spent ages looking for clean cutlery. The staff were very pleasant though, just not enough of them.
There is a small shopping centre in Cala Egos with restaurants and bars which is within easy walking distance. The Marina at Cala Llonga is about 20 minutes walk away and I wouldn't try walking to Cala D'or it would be easily 45 mins to an hour. 5 Euros in a taxi each way though.
Taxi from the airport - taxi driver couldn't find the hotel = 70 Euros, return journey was 59 Euros.
Have been to much better 3 star hotels, won't be going 3 stars in future!
Wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend it.
