Boscolo Hotel Maggior Consiglio

This was a fantastic hotel in a good location. We got a flight into Treviso and were able to get a bus for a couple of Euros to the hotel vicinity. The room was lovely and big and very airy with a good view of the mountains in the distance. The hotel is on a busy road but dont let this put you off as there is no traffic noise once insode the hotel. The breakfast was very good and the staff were lovely.If I head back to the area, I would definitly use this hotel again.

It seemed like more of a business hotel, but my wife and I were very happy with it for our vacation. It's right next store to a Billa grocery store and only a 15 minute walk to the train station. I'd stay here in a new hotel for cheaper over a dirty overpriced (and probably haunted :) ) Venice hotel anyday. The train was only a couple of euros each each way and left often. If you have a chance, check out Treviso. It is a beautiful town. And, if you have no shame (like me!) you can eat in a McDonalds with a wonderful view of the river!... more

We travelled with Ryanair to Treviso airport and stayed at the Boscolo Maggior Hotel. The hotel is about 5 minutes from the airport but the taxi will charge a mininum of €14. We upgraded from a deluxe room to a junior suite, I feel the suite lacked atmosphere and luxury and really was just an upgrade on room size from the deluxe. There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, you can only swim in the pool at certain times when aqua aerobics is not on, and you have to pay for breakfast. It's perfect to visit Venice and Treviso, if you arrive by car. It has a nice indoor pool and it's located at a 15 minutes walk of the train station, not in the centre. But the surruondings are quiet and it has a big supermarket at just 1 minute. Big rooms and good service.

We just came back from a 3 night stay at this hotel and we thought the facilities were very good. We decided to upgrade to a better room - it was £45 per night against £39 for a standard room. We got a bigger room with a balcony, which we felt was worth it. As the other reviewers have said, the hotel is on the edge of town and Treviso centre is a good 20 minute walk. We stayed in the Maggior Consiglio hotel in May this year. Before departing I telephoned the hotel to get directions and public transport information. The staff were very friendly, brilliant English - and were spot on with the directions! When we arrived we were not diaapointed. The staff were great, and as we had the baby with us - very helpful in freezing baby food etc! The food in the restaurant was outstanding. We've just come back from our holiday in Venice, staying at this lovely hotel. The room was fantastic (we got offered an upgrade to a suite for 25Euros a night...its well worth trying to negotiate), and the facilities were very good, we used the spa which was well equipped - although we had fun trying to use the lockers !! Some down sides though: 1. Travel to the hotel - we used a taxi from Marco Polo which cost a whopping 75 euros!
