Le Boulevard Hotel

The rooms on the 4th floor of this hotel are very dark with steeply sloping ceilings and dormer windows / skylights which are too high to see out of. The hotel may be a 4-star but these rooms are definitely not! The hotel is on a street with bars, restaurants and loud music - so choose somewhere else if you are after peace and quiet!

Hotel le Boulevard as others have said is a good place to stay. Convenient for Venice mainland via the vaporetto, rooms were generally on the small side, but clean and comfortable. We also found the staff to be friendly and the service to be excellent. Careful of restuarants on the Lido though. We went to one, La Sfera, which was overpriced and had a rude waiter, and one (next to the hotel) called Roxy gave me food poisoning. Go to Santa Croce instead and visit Alla Zucca, which unusually for Venice has some great vegetarian food.

Stayed for 9 nights in late July. Good position for families, it is on the main Lido boulevard. 10 minutes walk to the beach - worth hiring sunbeds - and 2 minute walk to the Lido waterbus connection for St Marks Sq. The crossing takes 12 minutes is regular and runs throughout the night. Combined sight seeing with a beach holiday, whole family loved it. Wonderful stay at the Hotel Le Boulevard. It is located on the island of Lido, which is away from the tourists. The location is near the water bus, near the main area, walking distance to the beach, the staff is wonderful, the rooms are unique and comfortable, and finding it was very easy. When staying on the Lido island and you plan on going to Venice (main area) just make sure you purchase a 24 or 72 hour water bus pass, which is cheaper. You will be taking the water bus to get to where you need to.

A fantastic hotel! Great location - near to lots of resturants and shops, and a 2 minute walk from the water 'bus' stop (the jouney from the main part of Venice to the hotel is a treat in itself!) The staff were really helpful and friendly, and recommend places to go, finding out trains times for us etc. When we were leaving the hotel we missed breakfast but the staff brough us coffee, juice and croissants in the bar! this was only my 2nd experience of booking a holiday direct over the net (i.e. flight & hotel)..went to venice for 4 nights in late April early May 2004 but found the effort rewarding (saved £200 per person from the brochure). The best thing about this hotel is the location. 2 minutes walk from the waterbus stop on the lido, not a problem with suitcases. The hotel room was well decorated and clean; facilities were good. Noise from other guests was a problem at times; walls were thin! Staff were very well dressed, polite and multi-lingual. They were very keen to please. The worst thing was the breakfast. Although there was plenty of choice, the quality could have been better.

We've just come back from lido, venice and after staying in the le boulevard hotel i would recommend it to anyone. The service was really good and the use of the mini bar and phones were really cheap. the resteraunts around the hotel were absolutely brilliant! The food was excellent and the wine was fabulous! We just returned from venice, used the internet to find a hotel with Trip Advisor -found the city amazing and the hotel La Boulevard on the Lido the best we have ever used. A disappointing experience despite the beautiful decor of the hotel and room. The horrible customer service we received greatly dimmed the comfort and enjoyment of our stay.
