Ai Mori d'Oriente Hotel

We were there for 2 nights and three days. The location was spot on. Very near the vaporettos, the Ghetto, local feel about it, a cat coming to visit us, hotel reception and staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I would recommend it indeed. One thing however...that can be improved...better quality mattresses and something to cover the 'gap' between the two single beds...otherwise wonderful including the breakfasts!

This is a great little hotel off the beaten track in Venice. My husband and I stayed here for three nights last month. We stayed in one of the rooms "down the alley", and everything was wonderful. The staff was helpful, the room was impeccably clean (wonderful marble/tile in the bathroom, beautful inlaid wood doors, fabric on the walls), and breakfast was efficient and plentiful. A perfect little jewel - would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is situated in the Ghetto area of the city, but ghetto it is not. The hotel is still in new condition and looks like it has just opened. From entering the hotel the staff were extremely friendly and even told us how to navigate around Venice, supplying us with a map and uselful local knowledge. I chose this hotel because of the reviews on this site and was not dissapointed at all.We stayed for 3 nights (17th -20th October)The room we had was standard and quite small but everthing else was very good.The linen and towels were fresh and new. with good quality toiletries.The breakfast was plentyful with a good choice of cereals,bread and hams.The coffee was the best I have had in a long time.I would not hestitate to recomend this hotel and if we go to Venice again this is where we will stay.

I booked this hotel, purely on the reviews on this website. Trust me they are all correct - what a lovely hotel. If you want to stay in real Venice, stay here. Looking down the street its on, you cannot really see there is a hotel, on entrance it is gorgeous. The rooms are beautiful - you do have to go down an alleyway to get to some, but its all part of the stay! My wife and I stayed at the Ai mori d'oriente for 3 nights the first week Sept 7, 2004, area was very quiet and easy to get to the attractions. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly,room was large and remodeled. Wouldn't hesitate in staying here again.

My husband and I recently stayed At the Ai Mori d'Oriente(9/16/04). Beautiful, clean, quality from beginning to end!!! It is off the beaten path, which made it more romantic to be able to escape the crowded tourist areas and retreat to a quiet section where a detail oriented hotel with truly professional staff awaited you. I was just recently in Venice for my honeymoon and was forunate enough to be staying at this hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful, supplying us with maps, details of local shops, best routes around the city and also about discounted tickets for the vaporetti and museums. My wife and I researched nearly two months on the internet for hotels for our trip to Italy the last weeks of July 2004. It definitely paid off. This new hotel is a 10 minute boat ride from the train station and 5 minute walk thereafter, where the staff is great and the lobby and rooms and bathrooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. What a super hotel! I booked it as a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday. We had a superior double room located in the annexe at the back of the hotel. This gave us a corner room so had lots of natural light plus a sofa and extra room to move. I had previously reviewed the hotel on this web site and booked it purely on the information here, plus hotels were the cheapest for rooms £105 per night b&b.
