I actually went away with my parents and two younger sisters, I didn't think that I would enjoy it half as much as I did and was very surprised. A 5 minute drive away from the hotel is Malia, this is where all the nightlife is and where I sent most of my holiday but there is actually family bars and karaoke bars just outside the hotel in Stalis.
The beach is gorgeous, very clean and family friendly. There's quite a few activities going on, banana boat, paragliding etc. You won't regret booking to stay here. It's perfect.
