We found this hotel very clean and accommodating, just what we wanted. We were very pleased when we got there. I am glad that I used these sites as we never booked half board due to comments about the same food everyday, which I have to agree with. Staff friendly and helpfull. There is no problem getting sunbeds but a slight shortage of umberella's (there is 2 pools one quieter then the other). The resturants are cheap on the sea front and there is a new marina been built (the shops were just being stocked so we didn't see them to the fullest). One thing to watch out for is the over charging of the taxi's.

we went to morocco not knowing what to expect as we normally go to greece. what a fabulous place. we thought that we could only have a drink in the hotel and not be able to walk around the resort as freely as you would in other country's, but how wrong were we. the hotel was better than we expected the staff are so friendly whether its the entertainment or a waiter eveyone is brill. the rooms were basic but very clean. the location of the hotel couldnt get better as it was right by the beach and shops. we went half board the food was good plenty of, but some of the food we were unsure what it was. the only critisism we had was the food should of been labled. there was plenty of activities going on throughout the day so you would never get bored. i would recommend this place to anyone as its been a wounderful place to visit.

For the past six years we have had our holidays in Gran Canaria (Puerto Rico).
We decided to have a change, we booked the Al Moggar in February 2007 on a half board basis, we were all not sure what to expect with it being a completely different culture.
All I can say is that we all really enjoyed it, especially my 16 year old daughter who never wanted to leave the complex due to all the activities that were going on from early morning till late at night.
The hotel caters for all age groups from toddler to adults, the entertainment staff work very hard to make sure everyone has a great time.
The rooms are very clean with free air-conditioning, free television with movie channel, the maids did an excellent job everyday & if you did not want to be disturbed in the early morning you reversed the sign on the outside of the door & they left you alone, but be aware if you went out late morning they still managed to return to clean your room & make the beds.
The restaurant was lovely & clean, very nice waiters of which some even visit you on the beach for a friendly chat & even try to get you to have a swim in the sea.
The food very nicely presented & has a good selection, but a better choice of English dishes would have been appreciated ie. cereals & toast ready available.
All in all we enjoyed it that much we booked for September next year.

Me and my wife visited this hotel in March on a late deal, after my wife had booked it I had thoughts that I would not like it because I am a fussy eater and don’t try different foods.
However when we got there I managed to find some eating places which did English food, but only one English pub which was nice, the hotel is very clean right on the beach and we got a sea view it was great.
The staff was great in the restaurant area, we went on a bed and breakfast deal there were plenty to choose from, such as pancakes, eggs, salad different breads fruit etc, tea coffee, orange and water.
The pool area is very good nice little bar and eating area the staff where great there were plenty of sun beds the staff come and put a cushion on the bed for you and most of all the weather was fantastic very hot.
The hotel grounds are very large and very nice; there is a Gym but not very big and not much equipment. There are shows on at night but these are not in English very often.
I would tell any of my mates to visit this great hotel for a relaxing holiday and lovely walks along the beach.
All in all a great holiday we will go back soon.

Hotel rooms clean but not spacious at all for 4 in the section of the hotel that has not been refurbished yet.
Meals are buffet style, but it was more like first come first served as a lot of the time you had to wait for certain foods to be replenished, and as for not taking food out of the restaurant well that didn’t count to all the German guests that where staying there.
The staff were friendly enough, the location was very good, but I found the kids club to be a total disaster, for a start they only spoke English on a 1 to 1 basis. Anything over the microphone was either French ,German or Arabic which none of the English people could understand.
Also the club consisted of at least 150 Algerian children which because of politics had to be catered for which left little room for any other kids. There was a McDonalds and a pizza hut within walking distance which I am grateful for as my children ate there every day, otherwise they would have starved.
The beach is lovely and clean although there is no sun beds but there is loads of room for the kids to play games as there is footie nets and volleyball nets right on the beach, also at night the beach comes to life with bouncy castles and bands playing on the beach ,when you first go out to the beach at night you can feel a little intimidated because the amount of Moroccans that are out and about is unbelievable.
The excursions that are on offer are good value, the bird park is good to see and there is a little park inside. There is a little train that takes you round the centre it is quite expensive but worth taking. Avoid using the white taxis outside the hotel unless you agree a price first because they will rip you off.
The entertainment in the hotel at night is rubbish there is a show on each night which my kids seemed to enjoy however, I think it was because there was nothing else to do after the show it was cabaret time which consisted of a man playing a keyboard which was dull and boring but apparently people liked to dance to it.
I know he meant the German and French guests there is a disco which opens at 11 pm but it was always full of little kids so the English teenagers didn’t enjoy it . The rep didn’t see much of her even though she actually lives at the hotel.
Entering and leaving the country is a bit of a pain as they seem to be on go slow also when you arrive and have collected your luggage beware as the porters pounce and as it is a closed currency you have to tip them with sterling so make sure you have some or they can get very nasty. Again, overall the holiday was ok but I wouldn’t return for at least 8 to 10 years by then I think it might have woken up a bit.

Well after reading the comments on this hotel, I did not expect a lot but was pleasantly surprised. First impressions of the hotel were that is was large and very clean, the rooms were spacious and we had a lovely sea view as requested, however we had to climb 52 steps from the road to the room to get the sea view, the lower rooms had pool view with fewer steps, worth bearing in mind if you stay at this hotel.
The rooms were clean and the maids did an excellent job even providing us with fresh flowers one day which was a pleasant surprise. There was entertainment nightly but this was late for those staying with young children, the children’s club is active but you may need to check with the animation staff what is on when as our son only used the mini golf each afternoon.
There was a currency exchange facility which was useful but no signs to say no currency exchange on Sundays at all, also you cannot change travelers cheques on Sundays at the western union in the resort, so take some cash just in case of emergencies. There is a cash machine in the hotel which takes English cards to that was a bonus. The waiters are all very friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was excellent but the hotel has a strict policy on not taking food out so if you have an early start, make it even earlier for breakfast. The meal at night was fine, a tangine of various meats, a cold cut or hot joint and a variety of fish on the barbeque (changed nightly).
All the food is beautifully presented and the chefs even did butter sculptures which were amazing, the food was always hot and tasty if sometimes a little odd combinations. I have never tasted cous cous like it, this was served at least 3 times per week, the food is on a buffet basis with fresh fruit served at both breakfast and dinner. We made use of the snack bar by the pool and this was also of good quality and reasonable value. The pizzeria is worth a visit, there is a free meal included with the half board but this is a fixed menu, 4 seasons pizza, chicken escalope and ice-cream but still very nice.
The hotel is literally across the road from the beach and a lovely view of the Kasbah can be seen from most of the rooms, it is within walking distance of the main strip and a short taxi ride from the town centre. The Noddy train or orient express is very pricy but worth it for the children, would recommend one ride on it but not worth a daily ride, use the taxis. Beware shop keepers inviting you in to "look around" this is a lure to get you in and then trying to get you to buy something you really do not want.
Well worth a visit is the city zoo or bird garden, dirt cheap and lots to see. Well worth a visit and only 15 minutes walk from the hotel. The pool was clean and attended from 9am to 6pm with huge shallow section for the kids and a section just as big for the swimmers. All in all a very nice hotel in a good location.

Shock horror on arrival. Right opposite what appeared to be a gypsy camp. On entering the reception we were amazed at the size. Rooms were huge and decorated in traditional Moroccan style. All rooms are tiered and most have sea view. Rear of hotel was lovely to look at and we never ventured out front till we left.
Food was good and fresh.
We had a problem with a cracked window and were moved immediately as it was Ramadan and no glazer about.
Only faults were swimming pool being too small but walk through rear exit and you’re on the beach and its fab and the all inclusive French guests who were served at the pool bar as a priority. Never used it again.
All in all we enjoyed the experience and the view of the sea from the room was superb.
