Fodele Beach

This is a quiet relaxing location not overlooked by any other hotels. The location is set in a hillside with separate blocks of between 6 and 10 rooms. There are steps to get to the blocks or a small train to take you almost to the door if you don’t want to walk.
The rooms are a little basic but have excellent views over the bay, the air conditioning works well and is controlled in your room there is a fridge and water left in it. The room was clean.
and towels changed daily. they also provide beach towels.
Having read previous reviews I can say I never struggled to get sun beds near to the pools including the heated pool and there is a beach bar serving drinks and sandwiches all day. The small cafe near to the plaza and main pools serves freshly made pizza ( and veggie pizza) along with snacks all day.
The food varied throughout the week with several English dishes and Greek ones each evening. We never had to wait at the bar for more than a couple of minutes to be served and there was no queuing at all.
There is a large plaza outside where they show champions league football when its on or there were shows quizzes and films on each evening.
The bars close at midnight but the staff did stay over to serve those of us left .The disco opens at 11pm but you have to pay fro drinks hence it doesn’t get too busy, later on the staff and animation team also went there.
It’s very easy to criticise and expect the same standard in Greece as you would get in this country but for a quarter of the price. I would definitely go again. The views front the hotel are breath taking the beach is spotless and quiet and all non motorised water sports are free !.
