Everything was great, Thank You Colleverde!
from A TripAdvisor Member
My husband and I stayed at the Colleverde Hotel almost two weeks ago. It was our first trip to Sicily and we liked it very much, especially because of our good stay at the Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations to all our questions. The rooms were lovely and clean and I very much appreciated the beautiful garden. The food in the Hotel restaurant was also very tasty. So this Hotel can absolutely be recommended!
Disappointing
from Hoolit
Agrigento is notorious for the poor standard of its pricey hotels. Given the generally positive reviews posted here we hoped for better from the Colleverde Park. The room was adequate, but a view to make you keep the blinds down all day. The staff weren't very helpful or welcoming even though there were few guests. Worst was the restaurant's measly but expensive portions-if we hadn't been so tired we'd have sent it all back. Wish we'd stayed on in Sciacca-great place! and toured Agrigento from there.
Great location. Perfectly fine hotel.

The reviews on this site made it difficult to know what to expect, but i'll make it simple--this is a Ramada Inn. Standard, clean, comfortable. That's it. Nothing boutique or fancy. That said, this is a great base from which to see the Temples. You could walk to the site. It was low season, so we literally picked our room and negotiated a fare price (E 120.00 double). We had a killer view of the temples from our window. I imagine there are only a few rooms with such views, so don't assume you will get one.
Tea on the Terrace
from 040450
We stayed for 2 nights towards the end of October. It was difficult to find especially after a long day driving but a pot of tea served on the terrace (and only 2 euros) soon revived us. OK, it's modern, functional and a bit on the bland side but the garden is a delight to wander in and the view from the terrace down across the valley and out to sea is great. Yes, the temple is distant but it still looks good illuminated at night. The air conditioning in our room wasn't particularly effective and the shower tended to flood the bathroom but...

Close to temples and Palermo airport
from surfnmap
We stayed here the night of October 22 as our last stop in a week in Sicily. The room was average but had a beautiful view from our room of the gardens and the Temple Hill in the far background. We had a delicious light dinner in the dining room and the beds were comfortable. However, it is advertised as having air conditioned rooms but they turn off the air conditioning at night. It wouldn't of mattered to us anyway as our air conditioner didn't work even in the day time. It was very hot in the room and so we spent our last night in...

Colleverde Park: we should have splurged and gone to Villa Athena
from HilaryBen
My husband and I spent a couple of nights here in October. Myhusband didn't like this hotel, but he was feeling ill at the time, so perhaps that doesn't count. It was VERY hard to find - we kept driving past the Villa Athena and wishing we had reserved there instead. The review said it had a view of the temples from the breakfast terrace - it did, but a distant view, seen through trees, and the breakfast terrace was closed for the season (in early October). I must say it had a lovely terraced garden with big, old plants that had...

Great place, no complaints.
from ReallyDolly
After spending a night at a nearby high rated dump and then almost checking into another of the same we came upon the Colleverde Park Hotel. We were pleasantly suprised. The rate was 80E less than what we had paid at the previous hotel and 90E less than the place we refused. Although the rooms were comfortable, clean, and our 2 rooms (we were traveling with friends) had great views. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and clean. Parking was abundant (free) and the breakfast...

Top Notch Hotel In a Great Location
from bobsuenj
The location is very close to the temples. The staff, especially Stefania was great. The gardens are beautiful. The room was above average for this price range. If ever I had ocassion to visit Agrigento again I would surely pick this hotel.
An oasis in Agrigento
from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed 3 nights at CPH in order to have a home base for daytrips to Selinunte and Segesta as well as visiting Valley of the Temples. I was apprehensive about the hotel after seeing the reviews, but am relieved to say that this was a really nice hotel. The front desk, especially Lyra, was friendly and helpful. The gardens were lovely and the room was spacious and clean, albeit a little dark. We found Agrigento to be a bit of a scruffy town, including the so-called historic area. We did not feel all that safe there, especially...

Practical, but not much character
from A TripAdvisor Member
We stayed at the colleverde park for one night, to visit the valley of the temples. The hotel is practical but lacks character. I suspect the hotel is geared for accommodation of larger tour groups. The rooms are large and comfortable. I wouldn't go to the extra expense of a Temples view room, the site is some distance away, no balcony, so it is a distant view through a standard window. Gardens are lovely, room prices seem high but I believe that is standard throughout Agrigento. If you want to visit Agrigento and the temples and stay...
