Wingate Inn Orlando Airport

Got an excellent rate from Priceline, so I really don't want to complain too much here. The location is excellent, if you are going to use the airport. You cannot leave your car in their lot though,which some hotels allow you to do or charge a reasonable rate. The place is very clean and the front desk people were wonderful. They even have an indoor pool. But, the beds....The mattresses were not good, if you have back problems. I really think they need to be updated.

stayed at the Wingate one night before my cruise. I had a late flight out of BWI Sunday night. Hotel was paid thru Hotwire. I called hotel twice to let them know my flight was delayed and it would be a very late arrival. I arrived at MCO around 12Midnight. We stayed at 3 hotels on our recent trip to Florida and the Wingate was the best by far! The Wingate has great front desk staff, a large indoor hot tub, easy acess to Hertz car rentals (across the street on Semoran Blvd) and parking lot restaurants, such as Chili's, Bennigans, and Tony Roma's. We were booked at this hotel for one night before heading to Disney the next morning. The room was immaculate and so comfortable! Many cushy seating areas, very nice bathroom layout, comfortable beds. We didn't have time to use the pool or gym, but the hot breakfast the next morning was delicious. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming. This was a terrific experience and we'll use this hotel exclusively on our travel days to Disney.

This hotel was above and beyond our expectations. It was clean and staff was very friendly and helpful at all times.The free breakfast that was served each day was very good. It was quiet even though we were close to airport. Never heard any planes.While families stayed at this hotel we noted many business guests. There was a laundry facility for guests which was a plus. What a great deal we got!! I did my hotel and trip research on Trip Advisor then booked with Hotel Conxions and got a rate of $59.00 plus $7.77 room tax for an overall total of $66.77. We stayed at the Wingate Inn at the Orlando Airport, and loved it! The rooms were a good size and immaculate, with a beautiful marble tile bathroom, mini fridge and safe. The staff was friendly and helpful, infact, we forgot a suitcase in the room and called them from the airport, and they brought it right over. Now for the free breakfast buffet. Nice sized property. Very Very convenient to airport. Close to parks. Friendly helpful staff, nice well appointed clean rooms. All rooms have nice mini fridge microwave, internet, spacious work areas. Nice beds and bedding. Great amenities for business travelers...small mtg rooms, free internet, computers, copier/ busines center. Small, but fine outdoor pool. We stayed at the Wingate Inn for 7 days in March 2006. we were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. We had 2 queen size beds, a nice bathroom, very nice people, and the traffic around the area was not too bad. A bunch of nice retaurants within walking distance, and a drug store and gas station right down the road. It's about 5 minutes to the airport and about 20 minutes to Disney.

Yuck. If we had paid for a two star I wouldn't be complaining. However, hotwire listed this as a three star hotel, and that it is not. Yes the rooms had matching furniture, but it looks like its all from the bargain basement. The airport shuttle only runs every 45 minutes and you have to make a reservation. The windows do not open, so you are stuck with stuffy circulated air. Overall it was incredibly depressing. I would try my hardest not to ever stay there again.
