Stayed here with my college football team as we were over there on a football tournament, and we had planned to visit Barcelona stadium on our day off.
We had a great 5 days and although the rooms were not the best I'd ever seen, they served their purpose and they were good enough to get our heads down at the end of the day.
Never had much time to eat there apart from breakfast but from what I tasted, the food was actually very good and the staff were friendly enough.
There are plenty of posh hotels around this area but if you’re going to be out most of day then its pointless paying extortionate prices when this hotel is great.
I would stay here again if I was visiting Barcelona again.

This hotel is in a fantastic central location in Barcelona. It is in a street just off the centre of las Ramblas. Perfect for shopping, eating, drinking and sightseeing.
It is a one minute walk from Catalunya Underground and mainline station. The hotel was immaculate with a good variety served at the buffet breakfast.
Breakfast is served til noon, ideal after a late night out! Perfect!

Hotel Lleo is in a wonderful location, just off Plaza Catalunya and Las Ramblas.
The hotel is clean and smart, the rooms are nice especially the bathroom- I had a spa bath!
The breakfast is not recommended if you are a late riser, we went at 10.30 and everything had been out since 7am and was not fresh at all!
Would go back and would recommend to anyone as it is a 3 minute walk to bus stops, station, Las Ramblas, El Corte Ingles.
Remember that a large amount of tax is added to the room price-, which caught us unawares!!
ALSO- if you go to Barcelona you must do the Bus Turistic tours. The green and blue ones were marvellous and we bought a 2-day pass for about £14 each!! You can catch these buses at Plaza Catalunya....

This was a fantastic weekend away for myself and my partner. The Hotel Lleo was a 3* rating and was the perfect place to just crash at night after a long day of sightseeing!!
We spent four days roaming the Ramblas, sitting in little cafes on the Placa de Catalunya and watching the boats go by on the waterfront. The Ramblas is a bustling stretch of florists, human statues and caricature artists, who are always willing to draw your picture! The little cafes that we visited that stretched the length of the Ramblas were always so polite and efficient and the size of the cup of coffee that we had was just ridiculous!
Not only were we about a 2 minute walk from the Placa de Catalunya and the top of the Ramblas, but also we were in the centre of everything! One day we just bought a Bus De Touristique ticket, which costs about £10.00 but lasts you the whole day and it takes you all over Barcelona. From the coast to Montjuic, up to the Sagrada Familia and to Barcelona’s football stadium. You can jump off the bus at any point and jump back on another again with in about 6-10 minutes!
Our hotel room was quite basic, but we had all the required things, a nice bathroom with built in hairdryer, although on my thick mop of hair it didn’t really do much, a television, mini-bar and a safe in the room. It had a lovely bar that you could have a quick drink in before going out to dinner at about 10.00pm and the breakfast was actually quite delicious!
We actually were probably situated in the best possible place, we were within walking distance of everything, I would recommend both the hotel and the beautiful, Gaudi wrought city to anyone, especially those who are looking for a romantic weekend away together!
