I am 30 ys old as is my partner.
booked through Thomas cook on a HB basis.
arrived at the sunny day at approx 03.30AM only to be told that the romm we booked was still in use. So we were placed in another Hotel across the way for two days. well sunny day didnt have us as HB only BB so we lost out there even though we had proof of it.
also we were charged for use of other hotel 50 Lev due to late leave. we were waiting to be told when the sunny day room was ready so we were ripped off there.
Sunny day Pool was in its self a nice pool with swim up bar etc. but as most other comments say SUN loungers always had towels on for days on end which i thought was out of order and staff did nothing about it apart from one day when there was kareoke moved the sun loungers but next day back to normal. music in the pool area was awfull just banging club music all day long aimed at youg kids you could almost think your at a night club.
food was lovely plently on menu and cheap service of food was good to.
I wouldnt go back there
if your aged 16 to 25 its a haven for you loud club music cheap beer and wine.

I was a little worried about my visit here after reading some of the previous reviews but was pleasantly surprised. The receptionist and porters on arrival were very welcoming, I was taken to my room and shown how to use the air conditioning and tv, this was around 4am! The room was clean and kept that way throughout my 2 weeks. The towels were changed every 3 days but this is not unusual in most hotels I have stayed in. The breakfast was fine with choices of cereals, breads, pastries, fruit, eggs, hotdog style sausages etc. There was also continental style foods, 2 choices of juice, teas and coffee. Enough to find something for a fussy eater which my daughter was. The pool area was nice and clean, kids loved the slides but once you found a sunlounger you had to leave your towel on it for the stay of your holiday or you lost out!!! The food did take a while to be served but it was nice and a good price. Sunny beach, Nessebar and Sozopol were lovely and the local buses very cheap, get out and explore! The only downside were other holidaymakers who made so much noise at all hours of the night!

Well where do I start? This was definetly the best holiday of my life. Hotel is squeaky clean, beautiful to look at, & the staff are the most amazing people I have ever met ♥! Only bad thing about this holiday, was the weather wasnt as nice as it usually is in the 5years I've been coming to Bulgaria - but no matter, as it made no difference to my holiday :). The resteraunt is very nice, really clean & a quick & friendly service is ALWAYS guaranteed. Although SunnyDay doesnt provide entertainment, theres always something to do. The pool is opened from early in the morning, until 6pm at night ♥ & theres always music that everyone can enjoy, playing at the pool bar. For the kids theres a small playpark just beside Block5, & also a fun slide at the pool. For adults, there is of course a pool bar, bar & resteraunt inside Block1. And when it comes to family, the swimming pool & pool/snooker table, & also internet is the main attraction ♥! The staff are amazing, & always up for a laugh - & never stop smiling no matter what :). I spent many nights getting drunk with the staff till the very early hours, although everyone manages to keep the noise level at a low key, as to not disturb people who are sleeping ♥! Reception staff are amazing, willing to help with anything, including any problems with your hotel room/apartment, & carriying your case to your room for you. The hotel shop is small, although sells alot of basic needs, but there is a 24hour supermarket right across the road from the hotel which sells an obvious wider variety of items :). All in all, SunnyDay is the place to stay when it comes to SunnyBeach, Bulgaria & leaving it all behind, esp the staff, was really hard for me :/ , so I cannot wait until next summer! xxxxxxxxx

I have just last night returned from a good holiday, only to be spoilt by what i can only say was the worst experience i have ever had of a hotel. In fact to use the name hotel is disrespectful for other establishments. Its hard to find where to start, but here goes - On arrival we were given no information regarding welcome meetings and subsequently missed all the reps information about the resort (i later found out that this had happened to several guests). The several reception attendants could hardly speak any words of English and the general friendliness of the place was non existent. There appears to be far more German and Ukrainian visitors there than English and so we are treated like second class citizens. The food served at the complex was supprisingly quite good, so no complaints there, but the service was abysmal. You had to wait forever to get any drinks and if your hungry you had better count on at least a 45-50 minute wait for food and even then it ususally comes out wrong due to the lack of English vocabulary. Then we move onto the Pool area. There are hardly enough sun loungers to go around and those that are there have towels on them by at least 6.00am in the morning, however, the pool was clean and relatively welcoming. The Rooms however, were disgraceful. The sheets were only changed once in two weeks (on a beach holiday!!) and towels were changed on my count three times in two weeks. There was one table on the balcony with just one chair and the air conditioning could not be turned off. Dont get me wrong, its a god send when its the early evening, but not at 3.00am in the morning. Then we come to the other guests which were allowed to do whatever they pleased despite their being alleged rules. For instance, groups of German teenagers returning from clubs at 5.00am in the morning, running up and down corridors and the management would not do a thing about it, and then we have drunken men and their kids in the swimming pool at 12.00am. I hope i do not put anyone off Bulgaria because it was very nice, but please, please pay the extra if need be for decent accomodation, not that this was a cheap hotel far from it. Its rated at 3 star plus, but i would suggest 1-2 star maximum.

This is most probably the best appartment holiday we have been on, but i will start with the bad points. There is no drying facilities for your clothes in the rooms, there are no lifts, the pool table is expensive, and the Germans still put their towels out at 6am! Now for the good points, this liitle complex of appartments and hotel rooms are clean, modern and refreshing. For example our 2 bed appartment has more floor space than my home! The towels are changed every 3 days and your washing up is done for you. The pool is just superb, it is one depth throughout its area (except the childrens pool). There are 2 water slides which are superb, and free. There are planty of loungers and parasols for everyone. The onsite restaurant is cheap and well run (but look out for the service charge on the bill), a beer will cost 2 Lev which is 80p. The staff are very friendly and accomodating, but that comes as a 2 way street. For example there was a british couple there who hated the staff, but that may be something to do with their own bad attitude towards the staff. As for the resort it is amazing, it caters for everyone, all ages, all nationalalities. It was a change to not hear so many British accents, but all the shops, bars and facilities have english speaking staff. I would highly ecommend Bikini Beach which is a chill out bar right on the beach, it has the best cocktails in town. The food is pretty much the same everywhere and gets more expensive as you get closer to the centre of the resort. Use the bus not the train as the bus is 1 Lev and the train 3 Lev, and the bus goes further. Take a trip to Nessebar old town as this is the best place for shopping. The Action aquapark is the best of the 2. Pick pocketing does go on, but we never heard or seen it. Begging does go on, but very rarely. As for the main road its no where near as bad as spain!. So to sum up this is a MUST visit place while its still cheap.

We are just back from a week at Sunny Day, and although we did not have much Sunny weather the staff at the hotel were really lovely and friendly. I thought it was good value for money, clean and welcoming. No entertainment, but that suited us.
Bulgaira is a different sort of holiday, away from the 'norm' of Spain, the beach was huge and very clean. We really enjoyed it and would go back again.
The only problem was the night flights, they are not good!

Well Were Do I Start With This Hotel Lovely Rooms Nice Size Bathroom Thats About All That Was Good About The Hotel.! Staff Was Soo Rude Ignorant And Just Simply Horible. We Arrived At 3am Did Not Get Our Rooms Till After 5am. After The First Nite Of The Holiday We Was Charged 100LEV For Falling InToo The Flowers Outside The Hotel Not Damageing Any Of The Just Squashed Them Abit They Were Back To Normal The Next Day. Never Got A Sun Lounger Round The Pool Because Of People Leaving There Towles On The Beds All There Stay At The Hotel. One Of The Other Nights We Had The Music On In One Of Our Rooms Not Too Loud But Not Boooming And A Member Of The Staff Just Walked Strate In And UnPlugged The C.D Player Complaing All The Time About Us Beeing Noisey When Were On Our Holiday To Have Fun Not To Sit In Silence.! BAR STAFF GOT CAUGHT SELLING ILLIGAL DRUGS TO THE YOUNG ONES And Still Kept There Jobs Onn Our Last Morning The Hotel Tried Too Charge Us For Broken Glasses Witch Wernt Broke Towels That They Claimed Were Missing And Clearly Wasnt But We Never Paid Its Just A Big Scam Between The STAFF They Kepp All The Money And Split It After Your Out Of Sight So If You Are Going To This Hotel And They Do Try To Fine You Just Refuse To Pay I Will Return To Sunny Beach Next Year But Never Ever Again Too The Sunny Day Club Hotel.!!!
