This was a last minute "cheap" deal and was perfectly comfortable.
The hotel (although a little grubby) was perfectly clean (I am very fussy and despite needing an update in the decor, the hotel was NOT dirty) and very quiet which was exactly what I was looking for.
The pool was small but did the job. There was always plenty of space beside it.
Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Room was extremely small but again, had everything you needed.
Plenty of places to eat nearby (as well as in the hotel) and every place we tried was excellent.
Beautiful beach to be found just at the end of the street.
PLEASE do not worry if you have booked this hotel. If you are looking for 5 star then go elsewhere but for a budget getaway I would be perfectly happy with this.

Aug 2008, Mr HJ Smith

This Hotel is very poor quality in every way bad decoration dark rooms had to pay extra for air conditioning and was badly maintained. Electrics where in a bad state of repair with bare wires exposed. The lighting on the stairs didn't work for 3 days after i complained. The breakfast was the minimum the owner could get away with.
The beds were of the lowest quality, bed sheets which must 20 years old. TV set in the bed rooms had poor reception(snow storm) waste of time.

Aug 2008, Miss R. English

myself and my parents stayed in the hotel divan for 7 nights, which was more than enough. the hotel doesnt even deserve any rating at all and should not be advertised, we found it was very expensive, the rooms were an average size and the toilet had a horrible smell to it. we arrived their late due to transfers the hotel is 2 hours away from the airport itself, the pool was small and during our stay one of the lights in the pool was damaged and a young boy hurt his foot and they didnt attempt to fix it until about 6 days later. most of the staff were friendly. i was put off by the locals hassling you every time you passed the shop which made our holiday uncomfortable not used to this whilst on holiday, i wouldnt recommend this place for families with any aged children as there is no entertainment and i found it extremely boring the only thing there is the pool. there were no english speaking people there apart from the staff who new very little. this holiday in here has been our worst holiday ever and we will never be going back to turkey again! if you have any questions and think i have been unfair please feel free to comment on that, i can assure you, your stay in the hotel divan, alanya will be a one you will never forget for the wrong reasons.

Recently stayed at the Divan Hotel...

Recently stayed at the Divan Hotel and was very disappointed with it. Our room was very basic, the toilet was very dirty and smelly, the shower curtain was very dirty and had mould on it, the grout around the shower was dirty and mouldy, the socket for putting the key fob in to operate the lights had its cover missing so there was live electric cables showing and the draw on the dressing table would not open and close properly. For the last three days of our holiday our room did not get cleaned and our beddeing was not changed. The pool was quite dirty with lots of debris in it and one of the underwater pool lights was broken with sharp jagged pieces of glass protruding which regretably my 9 year old son cut his foot on. The first aid box in the hotel is in adequate as it had no plasters in and there was no official first aider in the hotel. Some of the staff were ok but not all and half of the staff could not speak English even the manager of the Hotel struggled with English. I would not recommend this Hotel to anyone.

I am already staying Divan Hotel in Alanya and we are so happy in this hotel. Their staff's are genial and friendly. In addition, rooms are better than other hotel rooms, it's clean, comfortable and panoramic. I don't any bad responsible in this hotel. On the other hand, hotel restaurant which name is Alanya Divan Restaurant is so quality; cook's are excellent, waiters are genial and knowledgeable. Finally, I prefer this hotel everyone and If you want to come this hotel you don't to regret.

My family and I stayed at the hotel...

Jul 2008, Ms Brooke Ashton

My family and I stayed at the hotel Divan, Alanya Turkey 07.07.08. The rooms are small and very basic. Our bathroom was very small and dirty (sink had partial enamel and stained shower curtain). Bedrooms are not cleaned everyday and when they are then not up to a high standard. The pool is ok but a bit murky looking but there are enough sun loungers to go around. The staff speak little English but are helpfull. The hotel has a policy of not allowing food or drink to be brought into the hotel or consumed by the pool. This was a little hard considering that I have 2 small boys that like a drink in the middle of the night. Whilst we were there a fellow guest had some water confiscated from her as she hadn't purchased it from the hotel bar. This hotel has only 2 stars but I think it really should be a 1 star. You feel like your being watched all the time, I certainly wouldn't go there again.
