We have returned after spending a very enjoyable 3 weeks at Villa Palma in Armutulan.

Osman and his wife Gokcen along with other staff made us very welcome and we enjoyed meeting other members of this lovely Turkish family.

The apartments are situated in a quiet residential part but within a few minutes walk you will find plenty of bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, bakery (delicious freshly baked bread and rolls) and shops where you can book trips. There are lots of nice Turkish restaurants but for those who are not very adventurous with Turkish food there are several "English" restaurants e.g. Caroles, Violets, Sarahs. We didnt try any of these though.

Dolmus stops right at the door and for a fare of around 1.25tl this will take you to the main beach in Marmaris or the Marina (takes about 10 mins). Theres a little shop just over the road that sells basics and a pay phone at Villa Palma too..

Although the apartments are basic they are really spacious with some apartments having 2 or 3 balconies. The pool area is nice, clean and very relaxing. Drinks and light snacks are available.

A Mosque is situated very near but you do get used to this. All in all we had a brilliant time and much preferred staying in Armutulan as opposed to being right in the midst of things nearer to the beachfront.

Wouldnt hesitate to go back.

I have been to the villa palma many many times along with alot of friends and family.this place is nice and quiet,and very private .Never have i been and had a bad holiday the staff are fantastic and have become very close friends of mine ......cant wait to go back this year ....see you soon Osman and family

On arrival we were very disappointed with our apartment. It was in desperate need of modernisation, e.g. New furniture (especially bed and toilets) although it was very spacious.

Toilets and basins weren’t cleaned in the 2 weeks we stayed there, maybe as there was only one cleaner for all 14 apts. Pool reasonable size in comparison to other hotels in area.

Manager and bar staff friendly especially if you purchased food/ drink from their bar!

Otherwise didn’t get to speak to them much, (only when we got told off when caught drinking from a small bottle of water brought from our room, which is not allowed) drinks from bar double the price compared from restaurants in area ,e.g. Cocktails 12 YTL only 6 from restaurants.

We used Violets restaurant most nights, very reasonable priced e.g. About £25 for 3 adults and 2 children which included drinks, also waiters, especially Memhet!! Were very friendly and accommodating. They come highly recommended.

Overall had great holiday but will ensure in future we will research our hotel better.
