They give you chocolates when you get your key, they clean and make up your room daily, offer a turn down service at night. Also they left two little kids bags including a duck, soap and bath foam and sponge for the children. The room was comfortable with a safe, iron and ironing board, TV, radio, wardrobe and coat hangers, bathroom with bath and shower over, little bottles of shampoo etc on the side and even a fresh rose. Plenty of towels are included, plus on club level a robe and slippers for your use during your stay. The only bad thing to say was we did not like the pillows, a personal choice. They were feather pillows and quite hard for us. ( well i had to find something to say negative about!!)
You get a kettle and selection of tea, a large bottled water would be nice, you can fill the kettle from the bathroom or they leave a little bottle of water which you can buy for 4euro. There was a fridge and also a minibar.
The restaurant was very nice and the food excellent. There is a swimming pool on the top floor which is free if you choose club level. The view from this floor is absolutely spectacular and well worth seeing. There are no lifeguards and it isn’t really a kids splash around kind of pool but more a serious swimmer. The depth of the water is the same at both ends.
The tram station is just round the corner where you can easily get to the town etc and also to the Messe. We got a day ticket which was for two adults and three children to go anywhere in the town for the day at a cost of 7 euro. ( category a ) you get the ticket from a machine on the tram and then have to stamp it in another machine on the tram. A bit difficult to do when the tram is full but we did see one at one of the tram stations.
There is a MacDonalds a short walk round the corner at the smart centre ( smart cars) which my children thought was ideal for tea! And a big mac is still called a big mac so easy to order!!
The boat ride on the river Rhine is also well worth a visit. There are lots of places to eat in the town and the konigsallee is also a place to go. Look at the security guards stood outside the cartier jewellers shop. At the other scale you do see the tramps searching for food out of the bins, which was quite educational for our children to see.
We were told the aquazoo was good to take the children too but we did not have the time to go but will do next time. You can get to it by tram.
I would definitely recommend the hotel for business trips and short stays. If i go to Dusseldorf again i will use this hotel.
