Timhotel Tour Eiffel Reviews
May 2007, Miss R Purdy
This hotel was perfect for our trip to Paris. We stayed for 3 nights as we were having a long weekend in Paris. It was less than 5 mins from the metro stop. Which was only one stop away from the Eiffel tower. There were plenty of local shops and restaurants if you didn't... more

Perfect little hotel!!
from sheetalchawla
Me and my husband stayed at the Timhotel between 19th and 24th aug for our 1st anniversary. We booked the flight and hotel through Expedia and checked previous reviews on tripadvisor before booking, so we knew what to expect. Timhotel exceeded our expectations I thought rooms would be very basic and even abit run down but it was the total opposite. Yes the room was small but very cosy and the carpet and walls were all clean and the shower area was spotless. The room was perfect only downside is the size of the room which never really bothered us but can see why it might bother people who are tall! oh and the lift is tiny! The location of the hotel was perfect for us with the Duplex metro station just around the corner we got a 5 day metro pass for all the zones which cost around £19 each which is definitely worth it. The Eiffel Tower and River Seine is a 10 minute walk. There are so many restaurants to choose from in Paris your spoiled for choice we had lunch one day in the Italian opposite the hotel and it was ok not amazing. The best places to eat were around the Champs Elysee just along the Arc de Triomphe we went to the most amazing North African restaurant called Impala Lounge and an amazing chinese/thai place called Kok Ping. A nice meal with wine cost us around £70. Bars can be quite expensive we paid £14 in one place for a vodka with fresh orange and £20 for 2 cocktails, but when your on holiday it's worth it! It is definitely worth going up to the top of the eiffel tower and an evening just when the sun is setting is the most romantic time! I would also recommend an evening dinner cruise along the River Seine which was really romantic we had a 3 course meal with champagne and wine and a live band, we also booked this in advance on the expedia website. We found the people to be really friendly and would definitley return here for another short break soon.
Tiny little rooms
from dma
This is a sweet little hotel with some important caveats. The rooms are smaller than you thought possible. Avoid rooms with numbers ending in one, such as 21, 31, 41, etc. These rooms are on the stairwell and even smaller. If it's summer, a fan will not be enough. You may need to pay more for an air conditioned room. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood with shops and restaurants nearby. 2 metro stops are a short walk and will connect to anywhere in the city. The staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. The bathrooms are lovely. Internet available in the lobby. And don't miss the Grenelle blvd market on Sunday and Wednesday mornings, great bargains on wine, pate, fresh fruit, clothes and jewelry.
TimHotel-Eiffel-- Great Location

The only negatives I can write about this hotel have already been written. No Air conditioning( even though TIMHOTEL's website says it does) and no shower curtain. So make sure you are aware of this when scheduling in July or August. We had 3 days over 84 in July. But you're not in your room during the day and the windows open wide for wonderful nighttime breezes. If you get streetside you will awaken to the wonderful sounds and beautiful scents of the neighborhood but easily drift back to sleep. The shower curtain issue should be addressed or just tell Americans to bathe rather than showering. The TIMHOTEL du LOUVRE has showercurtains. We have stayed there. There is no way to keep all of the water in the shower. We had to put all available towels down to sop up the water that leaked out. This -- after my husband slipped on the tile floor.( He wasn't hurt) . Then we were without clean towels a few days because they told us the laundry comes back on Monday. Not having a shower curtain seems to be the European way so we will know next time and plan accordingly. With that said, I cannot imagine having stayed anywhere else. The location, close to Metro, numerous very good restaurants, the bakery, the grocer, the 5 minute walk to the Eiffel and the park. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The sights and sounds of a true Parisian neighborhood. We will go back to this location.
Perfect

Lovely hotel in a great neighbourhood. Eiffel tower 5-10 mins away. Hotel room spotless. Friendly staff. Breakfast great. With the other reviews about the small lift - It's not that small! Having stayed in a few Paris hotels it's not as small as some. Already planning our next trip to this hotel & Paris!
Perfect for us!

We spent three nights at this hotel. Our room was very small, as expected, but had all amenities that we needed. It was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the location! Everything very convenient. Metro Dupleix one short block away, Italian restaurant across the street, Lebanese eat in/take-out on corner (both excellent food and service) small market next door, and a variety of other shops within half a block. We used the laundromat across the street and next door to that there was an office supplier where we used the internet 2.50 Euros for an hour. A very pleasant stay.
Great little hotel perfect location
from Footstepsuk
This little hotel is perfect for the travellor on a budget. It has all the essential factors such as great price, great location as it is ten minutes walk from the Eiffel tower, around corner from metro, and surrounded by an eclectic mix or restaurants from home cooked french cuisine to Japanese sushi bars, lebanese, eygptian, italian, seafood, etc to name but a few. The rooms are clean and the staff very friendly, helpful and english speaking. The Hotel Breakfast was good value when compared to local cafes. However be warned that the rooms are very, very small The larger traveller may have had problems in our room. The tiny shower door did not open fully as it hit the sink and the toilet had your knees tucked under the same sink. The bathroom was only 2'6'' across and 7' long at best. The bed which was comfy took up virtually the whole room. But when in Paris do you sit in your room or do you explore and enjoy the local culture and atmosphere. Also be aware that the rooms are not air conditioned so I would not want to be here in the height of summer. The walls are paper thin as well for those of a shy disposition wanting to enjoy the romance of Paris if you know what I mean. But we did not have a problem with road noise as we were at the back. However all in all I would recommend this hotel as it fullfills the main criteria of price, location, cleanliness and friendly staff. Which is how I judge any travellors hotel. Go enjoy a great value Hotel and don't miss the wonder of the local market on Sunday.
Fine Hotel, Great Location

We spent the first week in May 2005 at the Tim Hotel Tour Eiffel and found it to be more than satisfactory. Yes, the rooms are small, and the elevators tiny. Yes, you may not have a shower curtain, and there may be street noises until one in the morning. But so what --you're in Paris! The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, the staff friendly, and the buffet breakfast (included in our tour package) was great. Getting around was easy. The Dupleix metro station is a short block away. The area abounds in restaurants, specialty shops, markets, you name it. A few years ago we stayed at the Concord Saint Lazare at three times the price and didn't enjoy it as much as this quaint little hotel. We will be back.

The hotel is situated metres from the Dupleix metro station. From here, you can visit all the main attractions in Paris, and the efficiency of the metro means you are only 10 minutes away from most things. The main attraction, Eiffel Tower, is about a five minute walk from the hotel, and can actually be seen when you turn the corner of the street the hotel is on! The hotel is served by a number of very polite receptionists, each who speak excellent English. The rooms are small but very clean and contain all things needed for an enjoyable trip. Maid visited with clean towels every day and dusted the place down, excellent service! Check out was 12.00 noon which is quite good compared to other hotels, and a baggage room is available if you have a later flight! the hotel is on a very quite road with an excellent Italien resteraunt directly opposite. There is also a convenience store next door to the hotel that sells all essentials. All in all, a pretty good stay, would recommend to anyone!
Disappointing
from earnalotofholidays
We stayed in the Timhotel Tour Eiffel Paris for a 5 days between March & April 2005. The blurb for the hotel stated that tea/coffe making faciliities were in all rooms. Neither our room or our friends rooms had these facilities. The shower feel off the wall. Friends room had no shower screen, they were unable to have a shower, they used the bath. The lift was very small, unable to get luggage and ourselves in at one time.
Local Hangout

This is a neat, clean, professional little hotel in a quiet city neighborhood. We asked for a deluxe shower (via email) and were upgraded to a larger room with a tub shower combo at no charge (based on availability probably). Desk staff speaks english. Maid service was great. They have a breakfast you can buy but we never did. Cool neighborhood with an Italian rest. across the street, fish restaurant near by, Lebanese on the corner, and bar/cafe around the corner (where the owner/waiter lightens up when he finds out you are fun-loving tourists and not grumpy locals). Other ethnic restauraunts a block away. Add to this a grocery, deli, bakery, 3 or 4 mini-stores, fish market and a metro stop on the block and you have an excellent home base. Great place to stay if you are only going to sleep there like we did (i.e.: not a destination resort).

Ok location as close to elevated stretch of Metro with nearby metro stops with easy access to main sites. As with a lot of Parisian hotels the rooms are ' compact' and to be honest a double room left hardly any spare space. The room was clean and everything worked - we even... more
