Plaza Elysees Hotel Paris

I stayed in Paris in May 2006. When I saw the outside, I was like, ok great this is going to be horrible. I stayed in room 42 and all I can say is WOW, beautiful room, huge bathroom. The decor was beautiful; the staff was very very friendly and helpful. They would take their time to explain directions to you. Ok this is one of the best areas in Paris, section 8, so you know you are close to it all, blocks away from the Arc and Eiffel Tower, and short walk to the Louve. I stayed at this hotel when traveling with my brother in August, in room 44. The room was extremely small and instead of two reserved single beds, they had given me only one. It smelled terribly from the carpet and there were no coffee facilites. There was no iron or ironing board although it was written in the description that there would be. The pictures completely didn't relate to the hotel itself; it was obscurely small. Stay at this hotel only if you want to have a bad memory from your vacation.

The hotel is really is just a 2min walk to Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe. Mind you, these areas are a little touristy (although still a must see spot) - but the location is adequate for wandering to all the atmospheric little streets scattered all over paris. Although paris is pretty big, we managed to walk all over the city (around 1.5km to Eifel Tower, just over 3km to Louvre, around 4km to Notre Dame etc). Excellent location, we did not need to use public transport to explore centre of the Paris. Of course it is quite a walk to Place Luxembourg but it is just a minutes to Champs Elysses and Arc de Triomphe. It took us 30 minutes of pleasant walk to Louvre. Very helpful and polite staff. No problems there at all. We checked in earlier than check-in time and they stored our luggage for the whole day after we checked-out. Rooms small, as almost everywhere in Paris, but very clean. Stayed here back in November and it is what you would expect from a 3* in Paris, reception tiny, rooms small but with everything. The breakfast is adequate but nothing exciting. But it's the location that we really liked - having stayed in this area before. V.near the Arc de Triomphe from where you get to most of the sights but bring your walking shoes. We just love that long stroll down the Champs Elysees pass the shops, to Place de la Concorde and beyond to the Louve and Notre Dame. The Hotel itself is on Bld Hausmann which is a business... more

We booked 6 months earlier and had a good rate for 95 Euros.We stayed 7/17&7/18. The standard room faced the courtyard and was really quiet. Beds are comfy and sheets are clean and crisp.Bathroom though small is spotless and there is even a terryrobe provided. Air conditioning is individually controlled and works beatifully and we didn't use it at night since we open the windows in the bedroom and in the bathroom! I use to go to the Plaza Elysee Hotel every 2 weeks for business raisons. The manager and her staff are always very available for each demand we could have. The rooms are also very clean and quite. It's like a second home. It's really a pleasure to find a such welcome. Thank you

On the 6th of august (the temperature in Paris was 40+ c that day) we arrived at the hotel on our way from Spain to the Netherlands at 11 pm and asked if there was airconditioning (a/c). The clerk at the desk said yes and we decided to take a room. When we arrived at the room we put the a/c on 25 c and went to sleep immediatly.
