The room was nice and quiet and the price was very cheap. What we did not like was the personnel.
We arrived 11.35 am and although we understand international check-in times, you usually are allowed to enter your room maybe even 10 minutes before check-in time. After travelling 8 hours and having woken up at 4 am Hungarian time, we would have appreciated a little flexibility and extra service.
The receptionist recommended Budapest cards although we specifically said we only needed cards for transportation. We paid 7.950HUF/ 3days each. Next time we will buy tram/metro tickets for 3 days for only 3.100 HUF.
When leaving the hotel the same receptionist suggested he would call a taxi for us, which would cost 8.000HUF. We called another company and made the same trip for 3.500 HUF.
It does not give a nice feeling to your holiday, when you cannot trust the people who should be helping you.
