Millennium Paris Opera Hotel

Its a French rated 4 star hotel for facilities but I rate it a 3 star hotel for anything else. Certainly doesn't compare with some other Millenium hotels of the same class and not recommended for those demanding business travellers or even comfort seeking tourists for that matter. What attracted us was the advertised special promotional price of Euro 130/night which is a bargain in Paris. Now I understand why. We´ve stayed at Millenium hotels in the USA....the rooms were small but good....in Paris it was a little bit different....the bathroom and the bedroom were smaller than the American´s room.The room was OK,the staff too...but the price wasn´t good.In the USA you can stay in a better hotel with the Milleniun´s Paris price.Overall I could stay there (but about the price I don´t agree) if the price is normal for the hotel class.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We had a standard room which was very small, we couldn't hardly move in it and there was no room to put our luggage. We looked onto a courtyard. The furniture was worn out, the blanket on the bed was filthy and full of stains. The bathroom was small but came with a bad and was clean. The bathroom furniture was also worn out. Very Poor Service, unacceptable value for money. We were waiting more then 20 minutes to get our drinks in the bar, when the management of the hotel was served immediately.Something is wrong in this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel. The buffet breakfast was pretty good. The rooms were clean and the staff was eager to please. We found them to be very friendly (in comparison to other reviewers). The location is reasonably good. My children liked the old fashioned elevator, but didn't like the slim pickings on the TV.

If you are seeking the shopping area this is it. Location in the shopping area the hussman street. Close by the opera. Its rated as 4 stars hotel. The rooms were small and not that woow. The staff does not have any qaulity of service. Breakfast is averag and all the time they run out of bread befor 10 am. One time i asked for english breakfast tea and they got me early grey, so i was like ..i asked for english breakfast so the waitres who was in charge ..was telling me its the same mam!! that was funny coz i had to explain the differenc.... more

I selected the Millenium Opera Hotel for its location in Paris - and was not disappointed. It is at the end of the Boulevard Haussman and 100 yards from Richelieu Drouet Metro. You can walk to the Grands Magasins or to the Opera in 5 minutes and down as far as the Seine in less than 15 minutes gentle stroll. The public areas of the hotel are nice and well maintained. Great Location on Boulevard Haussmann with easy access to Galleries Lafayette for shopping and the Opera for transport connections to all the tourist attractions. Book direct on the internet for the best deals. We booked 2 nights DB&B as we expected the food to be exceptional after reading the hotels own review but next time would just book B&B as choice was very limited on the menu and there was no atmosphere at all in the Brasserie. We stayed here for a week over Christmas. Rooms were “smallish” but clean and well maintained. We experienced a little trouble at check-in, however we had all our documentation (fax confirmations and correspondence) and after a few minutes everything was set straight. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We “fueled-up” every morning and set out on our adventures. Buffet was included in our package. Hotel staff was extremely helpful. I stayed here for several days in May 2004. The rooms are very small, slightly worn and noisy, but the service was fine. Overall, I was disappointed and will not return. I have also had the opportunity to stay right next door at the Hotel Ambassador Concorde, which, for the same price, is much nicer in every respect. At the Ambassador, the rooms are larger, cleaner, more comfortable, more quiet and more modern.
