When i first arrived everything was fine with the hotel it was clean and tidy and rooms were basic but ok. On the first day everything is new to you so u lyk everything food, drink, entertainment etc. BUT then the second day it hits u that you are in the middle of a time... more

I was disappointed with The Condes. The room was small, shower room ridiculously small. Lifts only accomodated 3 people, ridiculous really. I would not reccomend this hotel.

Ok so the lifts are small (as they are in a lot of hotels in the resort). Yes the pool is small but seemed big enough to accommodate everyone and there is a lifeguard. Pool and pool area cleaned every day! Room cleaned and and clean towels and bed linen supplied very good.... more

just returned from a week in this hotel. When we booked we asked for a quiet room but were given a room that was so noisy sleep was impossible before 1am in morning it was right on top of entertainment room, people were allowed to sit outside drinking shouting children... more

Arrived for 1 week on 15th May and heard everyone talking about the sickness bug which had been going round the hotel for 2 weeks. I managed to get through the week till the last night then it hit!!! Projectile vomiting for 12 hours. Never had a hot meal the whole week.... more

Have just returned from the Hotel Condes de Alcudia, not very happy at all!!???!! I went on a girlie holiday with a friend, we were told that the hotel was 5 mins walk from Alcudia centre, wish is a lie. Is actually a 25 minute walk, so we had to get taxi there and back every night! Room was extremely small, only big enough for one person, had to beds crammed in it, and tiny bathroom. We were on the top floor, and lifts were tiny, enough room for 2 adults and 2 young children only! We stayed there Half Board, food was crap, not very English very rude staff, tables never cleaned once people had left them. We endded up spending more money by eating out every night! The pool was a joke, unless your got up at the crack of dawn to reserve a sunbed, forget it u won't get one! Germans will reserve them and not even bother using them! I have nothing against German people, but there are extremely rude, espiecially when it comes to using the lifts or waiting at reception, they have no idea how to queue! We did find out once we were there that the hotel is actually a German based hotel, that will explain why we were about the only English people there!! Not many staff speak English, but there are fluent in German, surprise surprise! Overall neither of us were impressed with the hotel, I wouldnt recommend it all, I know its being miserable but it really did ruin are holiday!!

We have just returned from a week at the Condes de alcudia. The hotel is very well maintained, clean and we were highly impressed by the friendly service we received during our stay. The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis as is all area's of the hotel. We stayed half board but had the opportunity to upgrade to all inclusive for an extra 12 euro per day which we felt was a good deal. The food is of a standard you would expect from a 3 star hotel and once again the restaurant was very clean and well managed

we wuold just like to say we had agreat holiday and the hotel was really good. the staff were very pleasent and very helpful we thought the food was very good but could do withj a bit more variety. the waiters and waitresses were very efficient., the pool is a bit too small for the size of the hotel, we also object to people putting out sun beds by the pool and not going on them until later in the day we never used the pool because we could not get a sunbed unless you got out of bed at 7am to put a towel on one. there was a lack of entertainment considering the hotel was fully booked. the lifts are too small for the amount of people in the hotel but we were on the 3rd floor so we used the stairs on the whole we had a great holiday and most important the hotel was very clean

Quite disappointed in this hotel. The check-in was fine and staff were friendly BUT... Room 719. Bathroom was very small - shower only, and shower was about 60cm X 60 cm and was alternately cold and scalding ! The lifts (2) had a maximum capacity of 4 people or about 300kg. Many of the people staying at the hotel were well over 100kg and some 150kg and this made getting the 400+ guests up and down a nightmare - always queues at the lifts at busy times. Still this was good for fitness- up and down stairs from 7th floor. Room itself was cramped - only about 1 metre either side of bed. TV was poor quality with bad sound on BBC TV 24. Lots of guest noise at night - 11 pm until 1 am. Street noise at back of hotel was bad - no double glazing and those lovely mopeds buzzing past at 0200! Food from buffet was OK to good - apart from queues at toast machine in the morning, and waiting for cutlery. Lastly - for those of you in the UK - this hotel is full of "-----" in late September and early October. Lots of smokers and people who just want to drink lager all day. Lots of gold chains and massive beer bellies. My wife was the only non white guest we saw in the whole seven days. Would not stay here again.Expedia said this was a four star - I'd say it was 2.5 to 3 star at best.

After reading mixed reviews about this 3 star hotel we took a chance on a last minute All-Inclusive week at the Condes De Alcudia at Port Alcudia.(17th September 2005) We had a very enjoyable stay and will try to book again for next year. The cleaning staff were brilliant, as were the reception staff, bar staff and especially in the dining room, where the food was allways plentiful and of the highest standard found anywhere we have ever been - and we do a lot of holidaying! including cruising. Three types of wine,at lunch and dinner, much as you like, and drinks at the bar all day long. Entertainment was reasonably good. The swimming pool was ok but a bit small, which didn't help much with the usual saving of sunbeds! (there is a lovely beach four minuites away) Downside - The Hotel is quite smart with lots of nice furnishings and plenty of shiny marble, but was built at a time whe not too much importance was put on number of lifts, number of public toilets or sound-proofing between walls and ceilings.Which is probablly why it only gets 3 stars and deserves more So if you are lucky with your neighbours you'll have a great holiday

what to say? rooms ok if your a couple far too small for 2 single blokes bathrooms clean but no pressure on shower &no constant temperature. lifts a joke. food very nice but a bit repetitive sheperds pie excellent untill next morning if the carvery is on that is very good but no different veg and chips are there every meal. bars 1 open daytime 1 open nightime loads of bar staff but generally only 1 serving causing long cues, beer san miguel ok for couple of days but then urgh, the spirits great but be carefull its freeflow and if like me you tell them there is far too much in the glass they scowl at you. the bar staff generally ok when not messing about which gets you bloody annoyed when your queing right out to the reception. The pool ha i've seen bigger baths don't be fooled by the photo it is no where near the size it looks, admittedly the beach is only 5 minutes walk but we went all inclusive and would have liked a few hours round the pool no chance unless your up very very early. the entertainment if that is how you describe it was a sham and to be honest i feel ripped off you'd have more fun watching paint dry, we ended up going elsewhere on an evening which once again was annoying as we'd paid all inclusive. the hotel is very nice but lets itself down in so many ways i wouldn't stay there again but i definatly will go back to alcudia.

Went to this hotel in september and found it to be of a high standard for a three star. Room was clean and spacious and had great sea view which is well worth requesting. As other reviewers have said the lifts are very small but didn't bother us as never had to wait long for one. The pool was small but who cares when the beach is across the road?? The food was lovely and good choice of drinks including some cocktails. hotel and resort were just like england on tour so if you want a bit of culture go somewhere else but for a cheap relaxing break this is perfect!

Overall the hotel was good, really clean and we found the food lovely. We couldn't get round the pool on the first day and had to go to the beach which is just across the road, but as we paid all inclusive I was not impressed. The pool was really small for the size of the hotel and as other people have mentioned in their review you weren't aloud any inflatables in the pool which is not much fun if you have children, as their entertainment isn't up to much. There was also a mixture of nationalities, but prominently British! The lifts were small, but it wasn't as bad as I had imagined after reading the reviews before going to this hotel. The hotel staff were really friendly and accommodating and we did enjoy the holiday but don't think I would go back again as I like to go to different places, but the previous reviews frightened me as I thought I may be in for the Holiday From Hell, so was pleasantly surprised!!!! We did hear a few people moaning about the hotel whilst there, but I think they expected 5* treatment. I was a 3* but a good one!

The Hotel is in a good position close to the beach and close to the brill bar Sgt Peppers!!! The pool is good but only when it is throwing it down with rain and there is no one around, otherwise expect an earfull from the people close to the pool who are anti-fun on a holiday, no diving or bombing unless you are grey headed. The bar is not very goodbecause it has no choice other than coke or san miguel. The room is a good size for two people but don't get locked out otherwise other guests think you are drunk if you are asleep outside the door. The food is good but you get bored of it by the end of your stay. The Karaoke book needs to have a lot more songs in it. The Internet is also 1Euro for 10 mins and if you walk out of the hotel to your left about 2 shops down it is 1Euro for 30 Mins. The pool is to small for the hotel and the lifts are a joke!! I would definetly go back again as long as there was no people there with foul language who get easilly drunk and threaten to slap the kids around the pool as they are splashing. Try the Cheers bar aswell.
