We visited this hotel 3-10 October 2011. It was a return visit from last year so we were looking forward to our break with confidence. Our receptionist this year, Maria, was a lovely person who always had a smile for us and was particularly helpful when we had a small problem.
For us, the food was wonderful. We were half-board and so, unlike other people's comments on Tripadvisor who were all-inclusive, we really didn't get board with the selections and have returned much heavier!
Room cleanliness was incredible with cleaning and fresh towels early every day.
Now for the "down side". We were in room 611, which had truly beautiful, stunning views across the port. However, the incessant extremely LOUD music, which boomed out from the poolside speakers all day and all night, drove us mad! We couldn't get away from it - to sit on the balcony or to have a siesta in the afternoon. We could even hear it from the main road on our walk home. And yes, as I've read from someone's previous comment, when the music finishes at 11.30 p.m., the people still sit around laughing and joking for hours, so sleep is impossible.
Such a shame, because we love this hotel and its surroundings. I would like to think someone from The Condes will read this comment, take action regarding the music, and then maybe tempt me to return again next year. At the moment, I'm just off to get a good night's sleep and dream of the beach, the food, Alcudia City and all that sun that I'm already missing.

When i first arrived everything was fine with the hotel it was clean and tidy and rooms were basic but ok. On the first day everything is new to you so u lyk everything food, drink, entertainment etc. BUT then the second day it hits u that you are in the middle of a time warp food is exactly the same apart from the odd thing. And dont listen to people who say if you not fussy its fine cause i am not a fussy person and i got food poising on the second to lst day ruining the end of my holiday hence the bitterness of this review. The drink is watered down i drank for 12hrs straight and was still sober. staff refuse to speak english and talk to you in spanish which is not on. Entertainment is boring not from the lack for trying buy the staff but it just seems as the show up to a job and go home which is not wat u want on your holidays. all in all very disappointed and will not be returning! Its ashame because the hotel has everything goin for it ideal spot just 2mins from the beach and shops so i put it down to bad mangerment.

I was disappointed with The Condes. The room was small, shower room ridiculously small. Lifts only accomodated 3 people, ridiculous really. I would not reccomend this hotel.

Just returned from Alcudia on a Short last minute Anniversary Break. First impressions of hotel, was it's Clean and Staff on Reception Friendly. could do with being updated. Only 2 lifts that ony fit 2 / 3 persons in at a time. Room's small and Shower room mega small. We went halfboard and food was Ok. We could have upgraded to All Inclusive for 13 Euro's.. Brilliant location for beach and a great evening stroll around the Port, with some lovely resturants. We eat out twice and went to some great bar's. Comic's is a freindly and lovely english bar. We was also told to get a safety depoist box due to a couple of thefts. Quite a Lot of older people when we was there. overall We enjoyed our Break.

Ok so the lifts are small (as they are in a lot of hotels in the resort). Yes the pool is small but seemed big enough to accommodate everyone and there is a lifeguard. Pool and pool area cleaned every day! Room cleaned and and clean towels and bed linen supplied very good.
Food it depends on how fussy you are, there is a good range howver when it comes to kids the options can be limited. Remember they are catering for various nationalities and I think they do a great job, be adventurous try something different. I usually end up eating salami and cheese for breakfast, it makes a nice change from a cooked beakfast. Lots of salad and cold meats always available. Like al inclusive the alcohol is cheap imitations, again this is standarrd practice. Unless you like drinking lots go half board and get out and about. Their office is just slightly further down the street from the Brunel Bar
Must agree the entertaintment is pretty awful, why not shop around and go elsewhere, if you do not like it, we do.
I would recommend the Brunal Bar, out of the main entrance turn right. They also do really nice food and a brilliant Sunday dinner (must be booked in advance).
Yes the charges for extras is diabolical, we take an ordinary kettle ad buy long life milk, which usually keeps for 24 hours so it is sufficient.
We have being to the Condes 4 years running and have never had a complaint and we are off again this year.
Would also suggest NO Frills excursions they offer a very good service and if you have never visited Palma, I would suggest you go with them.

just returned from a week in this hotel. When we booked we asked for a quiet room but were given a room that was so noisy sleep was impossible before 1am in morning it was right on top of entertainment room, people were allowed to sit outside drinking shouting children running around screaming till all hours.when the children weren't outside screaming they were allowed to run riot through the corridors.and up and down the lifts banging doors and causing havoc its the noisiest hotel i've stayed in The staff made no attempt to stop this and the parents were to busy drinking the children were bored stiff because there was no entertainment for them at all
rooms were very clean and food was reasonable if a little boring staff friendly Resort was almost closed down when we went very few shops or bars open We booked through Thomas Cook but we never seen or heard from a rep in the week we were their very disappointing

rooms looked just like all the pictures you find on the websites. Clean and tidy. All clean towels every day and beds made (sheets not changed but we were only there for 1 week so that was o.k. ) Word of warning pool water is really cold - sea is much nicer and warmer and only a 5 minutes walk away. Pool area was kept very clean and cleaners washed down all the loungers etc early every morning. Some loungers now a bit stained and grubby but you just pick the best ones to use and there were plenty of them to choose from. Public areas in hotel were all clean and well maintained. Not a luxury hotel by modern standards although the marble staircase is a thing of beauty. We went half board and were glad we didn't go all inclusive. Food o.k. just not wonderful. Hot food usually only luke warm but we didn't seem to get any tummy upsets or anything so must have been o.k I guess.
Great location only 5 minute walk from beach so handy enough if you want to pop back to the hotel from the beach to use your room toilet (toilets at beach rubbish not even a light working in them)Lots of handy places to eat out and not too expensive (about 10 euros a head for a pizza and a water)Roads between hotel and beach have automatic "crossing controls" i.e. a wee green man symbol flashed to tell you its safe to cross. We felt very safe both in the hotel and in the surrounding area even walking about at night. Shops are all pretty much the same, selling the usuall tourist tatty rubbish so you'll save some money not buying any of it. We went with Thomas Cook and they were brilliant. They took care of everything from the airport, to the day trips from the hotel door and back again.
This hotel is great if you just want a safe base, with not too many frills and handy for the fantastic family friendly beach.

not bad could have been better, had to be moved as room was too small, i have disabilities and shower was useless, too small for adults, ok for young kids, what a laugh, moved to another room, bathroom was better but reception staff did not want to move me, was put on 5th floor from 9th floor, had to clean toilet before i could use it as it was dirty, bathroom floor was not much better, cleaners were sloppy. towels changed everyday, sheets were not changed the 2 weeks i was there. food not bad, if you like salads you were ok.pool not lit up at night. entertainment was boring, if you liked bingo abba or elvis you were lucky, i was bored. beach was great, sandy and clean, loved the sea.:) will try another hotel next time.

the hotel in genaral was clean but the food wasn't good at all really dissapointed. The swimming pool was far to small for the size of the hotel, and the entertainment was extremely poor.
The only high light of our holiday was a nice family run bar called bar bamboo run by Paul and Jane. Would definetly recommend this bar to anyone, because the atmospher was fantastic and they were exremly welcoming.
Would not recommend this hotel to anyone to visit you will be dissapointed on arrival.
