Condes De Alcudia Hotel Reviews
" Fab time had by all !!! "
Submitted By: LynneeWe ended up being moved down to the first floor after approx five days as both my daughter and mother seemed to be getting nose bleeds, don't think it was the height as much as the heat but staff happy to accomodate us moving rooms halfway through holiday.
Would definately go back and have looked into it already !!
Advice: It's got a fab beach, definately child friendly and not too expensive.
Activities: Mostly we walked along the seafront daily and visited the marina and local market which was huge.
Good for: Beach

For breakfast they had on offer a full english with a variety of different foods for drink they had tea, coffee, milk, fruitjuice. For lunch there was burgers, sausages, salad and chips although the chips was repetitive as they had them on offer everyday for lunch and dinner. For dinner there was pizza, meat, salad, rice, fish and lots more meals. There was also a wine beer and soft drinks machine.
Pool,Entertainment,Games
There was a paddiling pool for toddlers and a pool for everybody however it was quite small. In the evening the entertainment was fantastic with a variety of shows for all ages such as:B.O.O.M.S. the kids singing and dancing show,Animal Shows,Acrobatic shows also every eveing there is a game of bingo with a chance to win over 100 euros. There was games in the day sch as:Pool,Water Polo,Archery,Bowling,Shuffleboard and lots more games!!!The entertainment team who runned these games were extremley friendly and funny!!
Hotel Rooms
I stayed in a family room which consits of: A bunk bed 2 single beds pushed toghther TV, dressing table, wardrobe and safe. The bathroom was a bit small with a bath and a shower inside it,toilet and sink. All of the rooms had balconies except floor 1.There was 9 floors in total. The lifts were really small and could only hold 3-4 peoole although there is a alternitive route THE STAIRS.
After due consideration i would rate this hotel 8 out of 10 and reccomend it to a friend. All of my family aggreed we would go back there in the future.
Advice: Alcudia is a sunny clean place with a friendly atmosphere.
Activities: Visting Palma was a experience to remeber because of the Palma Catherdral its only £4 to go in there
Good for: Beach
" Not Bad "
Submitted By: dennis55A couple of things though about this hotel are that the lifts are small, no more than 4 people without luggage, and it can be noisy at night with people coming back to the hotel in the early hours.
Food is nice but can be limited in variety at the evening meal, with chicken on the menu nearly every night although there is a variety of potatoes every night, not just chips.
The Hotel is ideally situated for the beach which is 1 minutes walk down the road. The beach is sandy, clean and the water is shallow for a few metres. The Marina is about 3 minutes walk from the hotel, don't forget to take some bread to feed the fish though!
There is entertainment everynight in the hotel which is different everynight, but is preceded by bingo.
All in all, not a bad hotel but the size of the rooms may not be to everyone's taste.
Advice: Lovely place for a holiday, very friendly
Activities: Don

" Just arrived back from Condes de... "
Submitted By: Mr R SharpI would agree with the other reviews that the showers and lifts are too small and the cleaners are very loud early in the morning, but apart from that it was a brilliant hotel.
The food was nice but after a couple of days got quite repetitive. The entertainment was fun and all staff and entertainers were very friendly.
It's only a 2min walk to the beach and harbour which are very clean and nice. The nightlife was good, especially if you would be willing to pay 4euro for a taxi to the centre.
Overall, a good holiday worth every penny, and I would reccommend the Condes to anybody.

Submitted By: Mr G Freemanthere is 9 floors at this hotel, and be WARNED the lifts are tiny (4people max) make sure you request a room with a bath, (that way you will have a shower too) if your unlucky enough just to get a room with just a shower, your gonna be in for a shock, the showers are REALLY SMALL, you will get water everywhere.
the pool is very clean and life gaurd on duty 10 til 6pm (very small pool for the size of the hotel)
If your all inclusive drinks are available at the pool bar BUT food isn't.
The food was terrible, (breakfast was the best meal of the day) your 3 meals you have a day are buffet style, and it gets very repetative (esp when all they have to offer is stewed chicken, veal, etc) i found the kids selection to be the best, and the salads were impressive.
if you get hungry in btween meal times, it says snacks are available (snacks = food left over from previous meal) nothing was cooked fresh for snacks. coffee and tea are only available in the buffet restaurant for breakfast ONLY.
the restaurant and bar is NO SMOKING but you can smoke in the corridoors to your room. (crazy i know) you can smoke in ya rooms tho.
entertainment is not for young people quiz starts at 20.30, Bingo tickets go on sale at 21.15 and the BINGO starts at 21.30 EVERY NIGHT. then at 22.00 there is a show (tribute to the Temptations is quite good) then after the show there is background music till midnight (they call this the disco) then at midnight the bar closes and the music stops
the FREE drinks are good (can get drunk very easily)
The rooms get cleaned everyday (this starts at 8.30 am) and the cleaners are very noisey they drag the beds across the floor and this make the most annoying noise in the world. The rooms are very clean and tidy (once again make sure you get a room with a bath and shower, NOT just a shower)
the nearby beach is lovely, a 3 minute stroll. very clean. The night life isnt great but for 4 Euros you can get a taxi in to town, to bars such as linekers and cheers, these are open til 4am (very handy)
if you want a sunbed on the beach it cost 4.50 Euros (take a towel) lol
checkout time is 12 (midday) so if you have got a late flight you will have to request a late check out this will cost you, but dont get ripped off (27 euros until 6pm I got)
if your half bored you can go all inclusive for 14 euros a day (worth doing just 4 the free drinks)average age of the guests in the hotel was about 75 there was 8 young people (18 to 30) and we all hooked up fro BINGO and free drinks every night.

Submitted By: Ms L GlynnI especially liked the chance that if you wanted to upgrade to All Inclusive you could .. but you had to do it for the week and not on a day by day basis - as when you are doing trips you lose out.
The location was fantastic, close to the beach and only a 6 euro taxi fare to Bellvue which is the slightly more livelier area of Alcudia.
I am already looking to go back again next year and to stay at the same hotel.

Overall hotel was... "
Overall hotel was fantastic. The room was spotless and was usual hotel size. Bathroom was always clean and the maids were lovely. Towels and bed linen was changed everyday if you needed it to be. View from balcony was fantastic as we were on the seventh floor and on a clear day you could see right across the beach.
Reception was open 24hours a day. Seating outside is for the smokers and there was an outside stage but it wasnt used while we were there.
Main downside to the hotel is the size of the lifts. If you have a child in a buggy your not likely to get your husband in as well. We managed to squeeze in the lift (just) with 2 of us and 2cases. Dont really have to wait to long for a lift and we were there during the kids school holidays as well.
Food
Food was basic 3star food. There was always something to chose from and 1 in 3 nights there was a chef carving meat with gravy to go ontop. Veal was a very popular choice. f your vegetarian there was always chips, salads and pastas to chose from. Typical spainish deserts there was always some unidentifiable blamonge if a differnent colour everyday but I still managed to eat it every day. Breakfasts were lovely with bacon, sausages beans and nice soft eggs if you got there at a good time. Also cheeses and cooked meats to choose from. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available from a machine and also there is a juice machine. Loads of different breads to choose from and a toaster.
Only downfall is that you cannot take food out of the restaurant and signs outside state that if your caught removing food from the restaraunt that you will be charged for it, but that didnt stop us from making sandwiches and sneaking them out for our journey home :)
The snack bar was in the restaraunt and consisted of chips being brought out every hour, beef burger left on a hot tray and hot dogs. Fresh food was there until around 11oclock at night which is great if your peckish on a night time. There is an outside snack bar that we think may be opened during the busier seasons. Drinks were great on a nightime with plenty to choose from. Bar staff were very efficient and most of them (except the older head bartender) had a smile on there face. Didnt have a problem with getting more that a few drinks at a time and found it quite funny when we asked for a bit of everything in a glass for a 21st birthday cocktail. Drinks in the resturant were serve yourself but you often had to hunt around for a glass.
If you are going half board at the hotel be warned the drinks are quite expensive but you can upgrade at the bar to all inclusive for around 15euro a day. I think vodka and coke was around 3.50 so if your having more than say 3 of these and your having soft drinks, wine or lager with your meals you will save some money.
Pool
The pool is very clean and standard size. Great for children as there is a small pool attatched to the main pool (serperated by a metal railing and also a baby pool away from the large pool. Very shallow and great for saftey. Lifeguard also on duty all day. Pool area for sunbeds isnt the biggest but plenty of sunbeds if you dont mind sitting in the shade. The pool bar is nice and also plenty of seats out of the sun.
Both of us were turning 21 and had a fantastic time. The entertainers are really great and are none stop all day and night. They work there bums off trying to get people to take part in the day activities and when there not doing this there rehersing for the night time shows. Often having shows with the audience joining in they had me up dancing in a grease style skirt and leather jacket. They have a mini disco for the kids and are always dressing up.
I wouldnt say it was a younger crowd at the hotel as there wer many older guests. Being good girls we didnt have a problem with being told off but the lads that we met while we were there wer on there 3rd and final warning about causing noise so the staff dont tolerate any bad behaviour.
Only problem being you do get street sellers coming into the hotel grounds (outside seating area) during the night but if you just say no to them they go away politley. Very easy to barter with them and we got a few silly bargains from 10euro down to 2 euros.
Nightlife
If you do like the nightlife though the bar closes at 12 prompt and just across the pool on the left is the drunken duck. A fantastic little bar with an irish theme and decent music. Thatll basically stay open until you stop buying drinks. Head into alcudia new town which is a long walk or about 6euro in a taxi. Head towards linekers bar, cheers, goodfellas or the canny lad. All great english bars and good music.
Resort
Shops literally on every side of the hotel. Plenty of souvenier shops and plenty of places to get you tax free booze. Unfortunatley there arent any big supermarkets but there are plenty of "spar" type shops. The beach was lovely and the sea was sparkling. The sea goes out for a long way without getting deep so is perfect for young children. The sand is golden and stretches around the bay for a long way so plenty of spaces. Sunbeds are available to rent for the day for around 4euro but you could quite simply buy a lilo and have that all holiday. The hotel is kind of in the middle of everything. If you go right out of the hotel you head towards the more busier area of alcudia. There are alot more shops and alot more bars. If you head left out of the hotel you head into the port with some really lovely little shops perfect for buying prezzies for people back home. If you head behind the hotel you walk towards alcudia old town which is photo central with a gorgeous castle still in tact and lovely surroundings.
Trips
Would highly recommend the markets. Alcudia town market is a 30min walk out the back of the hotel. But you can also get the bus for around 1.20Euro.
Inca market is full of leather goods and if you buy the trip from a tourist shop or a rep your probably going to pay around 18Euros but yet again the bus is only around 2.20Euros. Inca itself is massive, but really hard to find somewhere nice to eat so Id reccomend eating a big breakfast.
We also visited the western water park which is in magaluf. Bit of a long journey but definatley worth it. The trip from a shop or rep costs around 36euros. We made our own way there and it cost us round about the same. But we got the bus which meant we had no time limit to be out of the park, had no stops at other hotels, and we got the bus to palma and then to magaluf which meant after being to the waterpark we could have a walk around palma and have a nice meal.
We heard bad reviews on the tour of alcudia trip. Two men that we met there had booked a trip everyday of there stay.
So to end this essay of a review I would highly recommend the condes, and im looking forward to heading back next year if possible.

Submitted By: everbeenhadAfter our evening meal we would walk from one end of the beach to the other then arrive back at the hotel just after the bingo had finished, we don’t go much on bingo! Other entertainment followed the bingo & some of it was good but some definitely not & all was finished by 11pm.
All the staff we came in to contact with were very polite & helpful & the cleanliness of the hotel was excellent.
We would certainly recommend the Condes de Alcudia.

on arrival i was told my room wasnt ready and i'd have to stay in a hotel next door (i was not ammused) but got upgraded to all inclusive for the trouble
when i got my room the next day it was on the 9th floor right next to the fire exit stairs and the patio door lock was broken, 10 mins after i had reported it, it was fixed! and only got charged for a week use of the safety deposit box!
the pool was small but loads of room round about it, lifeguard there all day and staff very friendly.
as a single female travelling on her own i can say i felt totally safe in the hotel and the town
the entertainment team, wayne, sara and marco were outstanding, sara and waynes shows were briliant and they compimented each other with their singing.
outside entertainment 3 nights a week and different quizes and stuff every night
bar staff were lovely and friendly
heavy rain though for a couple of days and being on the 9th floor it kinda leaks
the hotel is in an excellent location, literally 2 seconds away from beach and shops perfect for anyone wanting to relax and chill out
im a fussy eater but there was always something i could eat althought they could experiment a bit more with there potatoes as chips every night gets boring once a week they had the chef out carving freshly roasted meat and a delicious cheese table.
i'd read some bad reviews about this hotel before i went but i have to say although i had a few hitches at the start the staff went out of their way to fix it
the toilet i have to say though was tiny i couldnt believe how small it was i practically had to sit on the toilet and stick a body part in the shower and to wash my hair i had to have 3 towels on the floor but it was comical if nothing else.
i'd definetly recommend this hotel for all ages and once again i'd like to praise the entertainments team for their hard work into making sure everyone had a brilliant holiday
Advice: its an amazing place with beautiful sights and gorgous beach
Activities: walking into the old town or along the beach
Good for: Beach
