Rowcroft Hotel

I would highly recommend this hotel. It is run by a couple who really know how to 'do' hospitality.
First impressions are so important and we had a lovely welcome when we first arrived. The owners are very smiley and you get the impression they care about you as well as the money they are getting from you! They are very knowledgeable about the local area and attractions and helping you to decide what to do with your day.
The room my partner and I booked was actually a family room, with a double bed plus bunk beds. It was nicely decorated with pine furnishings and was one of the comfiest beds I have slept in.
The hotel appeared very children-friendly, there is a microwave provided for the purpose of heating baby food, and so on. The food we sampled was good also. We had breakfast, unfortunately not the evening meal but full English plus cereal etc was on offer. Well cooked and not too greasy! Location is very good, all rooms either look out onto the sea or a park.
The nearest beach is a 1min walk away! Paignton itself is lovely and also is a great base to drive to other resorts: Torquay, Brixham, Dartmouth. I cannot fault the hotel - service was excellent and there is a bar if you fancy a drink without having to leave the hotel. They have a general-use lounge with games, TV etc if you want to relax.
