This hotel looks impressive. Its pool is beautiful and the breakfasts and dinners were very good. Unfortunately, the service was more suited to a 3 star hotel. Guests must cart in their own luggage, and should not expect anything extra from the disinterested staff. ... more

We booked the Botel Alcudiamar as a special treat for our honeymoon. We had decided that all we wanted to do for our honeymoon was relax in the sun and de-stress after our wedding. The Botel Alcudiamar was EXCELLENT. When we arrived Johnny greeted us - a wonderfully... more

Positive Points: Location was first class. Free sunbeds on beach. Beach towels provided. Lovely pool. Breakfast until 10.30 a.m. (most hotels finish at 10 a.m.) Could eat outside with lovely views of the bay. Negative Points: Definitely NOT 4 star!!! Food quality left a lot... more

We have just stayed at the Botel this July04 for 12 days. Overall we found the hotel had some strong pluses BUT also some strong negatives. The pluses: The hotel is very well (and exclusively) located at the end of a pier in the bay of Alcudia. It is only 300 metres from... more

Mixed emotions
Firstly it must be said that the pool area is lovely with views across the bay and the beach is very close. The rooms are clean and adequate though not luxurious. It is certainly from what we saw and heard the best hotel in the area. However we found the staff in the bar and restaurant rude and unhelpful and apart from one gentleman the reception staff spoke little english and had no local knowledge! we were also amazed at having to pay to park which the hotel never told us. Also lack of poolside service was apparent and too few loungers... more
Nice hotel but could have been better
This hotel is nice, but I think it is expensive compared to others I have stayed in in different resorts. the good things about this hotel are: 1) the pool - good size relative to numbers of guest 2) the rooms - ignore the long and thing comments you may see elsewhere - the rooms are fine. Although check your aircon is working, outs wasn't but was fixed the same day. 3) food - very good quality and selection - breakfast was fab. 4) location - couldn't be better the bad things: 1) Some waiting staff... more

Stayed at the Botel for a short break 1 – 5 May 2006. It has just changed hands and the new owners have spent the winter doing the place up. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style with plenty of choice. The pool area is fantastic with lots of space for both sunbathing or sitting with a cold beer on the terrace. Room was nice and clean – only downside was that we overlooked a car park and it was a bit noisy in the mornings with deliveries/tour coaches and the refuse wagon coming and going. The location has got to be one of the best on... more
Has It Really Changed That Much?!
I stayed in this hotel 4 years ago and am shocked to read the awful reviews about it! It was definately the best holiday iv ever had and we have been toying for years whether or not to return just in case its not as good! Ive stayed in some amazing hotels but in 2002 this one took the biscuit. Our rooms were enormous with big fluffy robes and the food was divine. Im sad that people no longer enjoy what I will always remember as paradise for me!
Poor 4 star hotel - should be 3 star
On arriving, we were put into a small room overlooking the car park, with a single double bed when we had booked twins. After 2 days of complaining we were given what we had booked, and a much larger room. On the hotel telling us that last year they had 5 stars, my wife told them that next year they would only have 3 stars! Buffet breakfast OK. Dinner was a buffet once more and was poor. As we had booked only bed & beakfast we had dinner out most of the time. Seems to cater mostly for the Germans. No room service or porter. Parking... more
Okay after the first night
I stayed at the hotel in July 2003 in a standard room which was not the best but the rest of the hotel is beautiful. When I went back in July 2004 I stayed in the suite room which had a lot more room and a large balcony with a great view and lots of space on it. However when we turned up on the first day they told us they had double booked the room and sent us up to its sister hotel 10 mins up the road and told us to come back in the morning, however they did pay for the cabs and the other hotel was 5 star but if we had wanted to stay... more
excellent
i went to the botel in april for my son's 1st birthday , the hotel is set at the end of the jetty on it's own but still near everything which is a short 5 minute walk down to the main road so you dont get and traffic noise it's very quiet , the hotel has it's own bit of beach which is great for the kids , on my son's birthday the hotel who must have noted the details on his passport put a card and a bottle of fizz in our room when we came back for a day out which was a lovely surprise ...... if you want a relaxing hotel away from the disco's... more

We have just stayed at the Botel this July 04 for 12 days. Overall we found the hotel had some strong pluses but also some strong negatives. The pluses: The hotel is very well (and exclusively) located at the end of a port in the bay of Alcudia. It is only 300 metres from the very heart of the town etc. The hotel gardens and infinity pool are top-class, with ample (in number) and comfortable loungers and absolute freedom to plonk oneself wherever. Very relaxed atmosphere. The pool is at least 30m long, kidney shaped and... more
Get Us Out Of Here!
Arriving in the middle of the night after lousy driving directions from the booking agent, to find our booking screwed up by the hotel, was not a good start. Things went downhill. Management were unhelpful in sorting out our accommodation - shoulder shrugging was their speciality - and seemed to run the place on a skeleton staff - a four star hotel without a porter? I ask you! Service was slow and not always friendly. Food was not good and often seemed to have been sitting around for too long - breakfast juices actually fizzed! After... more
A mini paradise
My husband and I stayed at the Botel for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was excellent value. Perfectly situated on a peninsula, next to the Marina with lovely views of Alcudia Bay. A nice selection of restaurants and and a small store right by the hotel. A 5 Minute walk down into the busier areas, beach, more shops and restaurants. The pool area is surrounded by palm trees and provides beautiful sea views. Rooms nice and staff were friendly and helpful and on our last day when we had to check out by 12 they allowed... more
