We went to Barcelona on our honeymoon and were not disappointed. I booked our apartment online at BCN Apartments which was an excellent decision as our apartment was amazing and the owner (sorry can't remember his name) was really helpful.
Barcelona is a fantastic city with an endless supply of things to do. We stayed in the Gothic Quarter where the architecture is amazing but the same can be said for all the districts in the city.
We particularly liked the Parc Guell and Casa Batllo (some of the works by Antoni Gaudi. His biggest work 'Sagrada Familia' we only managed to view from the outside as the queues were immense so I’d suggest getting there as early as possible. The city has a great market just of Las Ramblas which sells all kinds of spectacular food. We also took in a tour of the famous Camp Nou home of Barcelona FC which was good value for money.
We used the Metro to get around Barcelona which was really quick, cheap and the maps simple to follow. It’s impossible not to enjoy Barcelona and we'll certainly be returning.
