Hotel Information
Hotel Description:
The Hotetur Bahia Flamingo is 40 Km from the airport and 30 Km from Playa de las Americas, situated on the south west of the island, a place full of contrast, between the sea and the mountains, tropical and desert-like. The club is just 2 Km. From the place of natural beauty, Los Gigantes (the Giants), an incredible view of cliffs. Situated right by the sea in the heart of a small spa, Playa de la Arena. You will appreciate one of the few beautiful natural black sandy beaches just 400m. from the club.Nearby Hotels Viewed by Other Travellers
Hotetur Bahia Flamingo Hotel Reviews
" First Stay, Not Impressed "
Submitted By: treboreelThe 'hot food' is always lukewarm or cold, the choice was appalling and mainly consisted of chips, fish, chicken, and some meat dishes, we had a pealla once which WAS quite good, always salad was available, but little more.
Night entertainment was mostly on Thursday and Saturday which lasted from 9pm until 11pm
with three other nights over the two weeks.
Hot drinks at meal times were only available at breakfast.
Very few snacks during the day.
The Hotel was described as 'Colditz' as food was FORBIDDEN to be taken out of the restruent.
No food to be taken to rooms, if detected, cleaners were expected to report this OFFENCE to the management.
Hotel is totally unsuitable for children of any age, nothing for them to do, and they do need snacks all day long.
The t.v. in all rooms, only english channels were sky news or sky sport.
The safe in all rooms has a charge of 18 euro per week.
If you ignored the bad points I have made, the stay in teneriffe was lovely, it would not be too difficult for the NEW management to put right the 'cold food' and improve on the nightly entainment to make this hotel a great holiday.
We 'may' go again with the hope that these inprovements were met.
Advice: The sea is close, but no safe beaches.
Activities: nice walks.
Good for: City Breaks

Submitted By: Miss Kirstiewe went all inclusive and definately got our moneys worth. the food was abit repetative but was eatable, the bar was open from 10 and their wasnt a limit on how many drinks you could get at any 1 time like other places we've been to.
The staff were very friendly and we joined in with some of the entertainment activities. The rooms were cleaned everyday apart from sundays and were big enough for the 2 of us with a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. We had a lovely view over looking the pool and the sea.
It is a quiet hotel and a quiet town but if you want a relaxing place this is the place to go.
The only problem we had was the transfer on the way back to the airport, our flight was in the afternoon and was told that we would be picked up from the hotel at 8.15am which was alot earlier then other people on our flight, at 7.40 the reception called our room to say it was waiting and if we werent downstairs in 5 mins it would leave, which we had to rush about to make it. we made the transfer which left us waiting in the airport for over 5 hours which is not the hotels fault but the operators fault which i will be taking it up.

Flies, this hotel has a massiveproblem with flies, all over the place, the maids constanly sprayed lemon air raid spray, and as soon as the food gets going the flies are all over it.
The bar, if you dont drink much you will be ok, as never a bar man at the beach bar, you have to wait until someone sees you from the restaurant. staff very rude especially the little fat man behind the bar. reception staff never knew when the nite entainment was on, out of severn nites they had 2 nites of entainment with a duet, who looked as bored as we did. PLEASE NOTE IF YOU HAVE A CHILD LIKE I DID DO NOT GO HERE, THEY CANT GO IN THE POOL AS ITS LIKE ICE AND THE TILES ARE SLIPPERY, THE FLIES BUZZ ALL DAY, THEY CAN T HAVE POP AS NEVER A BARMAN THERE, AND THE FOOD IS FORBIDDEN TO LEAVE THE RESTAURANT, BUT I TOOK IT OUT, I HAD PAID FULL PRICE FOR MY LITTLE GIRL AND NO WAY WAS I GOING TO BE TOLD I COULD NOT TAKE FOOD OUT.AT NIGHT I WITNESSED BUCKETS OF A BLEACH SUBSTANCE BEING THROWN INTO THE POOL TO CLEAN IT. the owners of the hotel would turn up in the day, three big fat blokes and wander around if there were god gifts, and if you questioned them they would just say enjoy the sun. i met two nice familes whilst on hols, one couple from essex and another from germany, they all felt the same, my daughter and the german families little boy were the only children and not to be able to use the pool or do anything was such a shame as we had paid the same price as them as an adult...SO DONT GO ITS REALLYLIKE FAULTY TOWERS. i spent three days down the road at a 4 star hotel called playa arena, save a bit extra and go ther, they have heated outdoor pools, cushioned sunloungers and happy staff who are clean and well resteneted, unlike the shambles i had witnessed.
Advice: beach not very good, and you cant go into the sea as the waves are to rough
Activities: finding a four star hotel down the road
