Very clean and tidy hotel. The hotel room was immaculate and was cleaned and refreshed daily. However did not find the staff very friendly.
The concierge on the door never once smiled at us or welcomed us with a simple good morning or good evening. One of the receptionists was also quite rude and sarcastic on arrival.
The restaurant was excellent. The food was lovely and the waiters extremely friendly and helpful.
The swimming pool was freezing cold and not very pleasant.
This hotel appears to be more accommodating for businesses and travelling business stop over’s and not as a tourist hotel.

Excellent- the staff were friendly and very patient with my partners absolutely awful French!
The deal we got booking ourselves was it only cost £70 per night for the both of us for a luxurious hotel. It was only a short walk from the grand place and the superb avenue Louise, (very good if you like cheap beer, like my bloke, or cheap Belgian choccies, like me!) The room had a mini bar, hairdryer, air-conditioning, satellite TV with a few English channels and some very funny Flemish ones, a phone and I was told also an internet port, why you’d want that on your hols??? We enjoyed the sauna, steam room and hot tub but spent most of our time sightseeing. Brussels in clean and tidy and full of polite proficient people.
We visited the fantastic Bruparc with mini Europe and glowed with pride standing next to mini Big Ben as the American children asked whey they didn’t have any landmarks there! There’s also an interactive Europe display and a swimming park and my bloke was enthralled with the men in suits, (they scare me!) And the beer vending machines!
The modern and ancient art museums are a short tram ride away, (tip: get a tram pass and you’ll travel for cheap all your holiday- some travel agents allow you to buy this in advance), and are excellent they’re not full of idiots like the museums in Paris but the collections are amazing- from the old faves like Picassos etc.
To some progressive installations and my all-time fave- Andy Warhol!, (yey!) All-in-all Brussels is now my favourite place in the whole world!

The hotel is 5 stars rated but I'm not sure that was evident on our stay. The reception area looked nice enough. The room was spacious but the decor was very dated.
The staff at the reception desk were very pleasant and helpful; however we wouldn't say the same for the concierge who was actually quite rude and abrupt.
We had chosen this hotel because it was central but having visited Brussels, it's such a small city that I'm not sure you need to be centrally located to have access to the city.
Brussels was a great city to visit for the weekend, especially if you like beer, chocolate, waffles, mussels and chips or chips and mayo!
A little tip - if you fancy eating away from the tourist area, there are some nice eateries near to St Boniface church which are worth a look.
