We stayed at the Hotel Pomorie for 2 week from the 21st July 07.
We found the hotel to be clean... but our room was far too small for 2 adults and 1 child. We took a portable fan with us for the room, and I can tell you that we needed it. If you want, you can hire one from reception, it will cost you around £17.00 for the two weeks.
We had paid for Half Board but only eat breakfast four times and evening meals at the hotel twice. The food was very poor.
We found the hotel staff very unhelpful. We had to complain more than once about not having enough towels in our bathroom, at one point we only had one hand towel between the three of us!
The pool was okay, but I feel that if you are a hotel guest you shouldn't have to pay for the loungers, which they charged 5 lev a day for.
There was NO hotel entertainment at the Pomorie in the evenings, we also didn't find very much to do in the evenings with a 7 year old.
This was my second trip to Bulgaria and I have to say that I don't think I would hurry back.
The only good thing about Bulgaria is that it was very cheap to eat out.

I really enjoyed Bulgaria and will definitely go back. But I would never stay at the Pomorie Hotel Sunny Beach.
The staff were so unfriendly, the rooms not very clean, breakfast was basic you had to even pay for your sun bed at the pool. I was very disappointed in this hotel but did visit some other lovely hotels so when we go back will stay at one of them.
I strongly advise you to stay clear of the Pomorie Hotel

Sunny beach is a beautiful and quiet resort! Excellent place to bring your children to, and very quiet if you just want to "chill out!"
Rooms were quite basic in the Pomerie but always very clean. Staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help you anyway they can.
Beach was beautiful but was quite busy so if you want peace and quiet I’d advise you to stay by the hotel pool!
Shops were brilliant. Lots of value for money. If your a shopper bring lots of pennies with you, although the clothes are cheap, there will be plenty that you'll want to buy. And another thing, never settle for the first price they give you because they will always bargain.
Overall the holiday was brilliant the weather was fab and the people were great and I would go back again yesterday if I could.

When we booked, we knew not to expect too much for the amazingly low price (nothing else in Europe could compete). Our plan was to see where we ended up and if we didn't like it we could afford to hire a car and explore.
As a place to take your kids, or just somewhere to eat, drink and lie on the beach, Sunny Beach fits the bill. The Hotel Pomorie has a cheap 2 star side (which is very basic) and a nicer 3 star side, but all residents can use the fabulous outdoor pool with a swim up bar.
Sunny Beach has little in the way of style or culture, but hey, it's cheap as chips and the sandy beach goes on for miles.
In the end we did hire a car, travelled along the coast and discovered beautiful old villages and quiet beaches. And we still spent a lot less than if we had gone to Greece or Spain.

This is the second time I have been to Bulgaria, and when I went last year I went to the same place and same hotel and I thought it was great. I thought the location was because you are near the centre but not too close so you can't sleep from all the noise at night but near enough to walk there, the hotel is good, the rooms are quite big and so is the bathroom containing one toilet, spacious shower and one sink. You also have a balcony as well.
The facilities are very good there is a big pool and a small area from the children and there is also a bar in the pool at the side so you can sit in the pool and have a drink if you like. The is a game area were you can play pool, table tennis and arcade games such as pinball. There are lots of restaurants so you don’t have to walk a long way to eat and there are also restaurants in the hotel as well if you prefer to eat in.
The service the waiters provide is excellent and they are also very friendly. There are lots of clubs and they are all open till about 5 o’clock so you don’t have to worry about them closing. The only thing i really hated was the beggars on the streets but overall I think it is a good hotel and I would recommend it to anyone really.
