I have just returned from the Boathouse hotel after staying there 2 years ago I was really looking forward to it. Things have changed a bit the hotel is now split into 2 sections. The Boathouse is now 22 rooms and only book able independently. The other section is now called the Arion Bay Hotel and this is the section that most will recognise as the Boathouse mainly because of the staff.
First choice are calling this section Boat House Pensions but it as nothing at all to do with the Boathouse
So just be careful if you want the Boathouse Hotel you have to book it via boathousehotel.com if you want the section were Tony and all the rest work you have to book with First Choice or direct much cheaper.

In reply to this last review - The Boathouse, Santorini is owned and operated by Spyros and Diane Zorzos since 1989 - the Arion Bay is a new hotel built within the rooms and restaurant that were next to The Boathouse since the late 1990's.
So as the last review mentions Elias and Tony work at The Arion Bay now but Spyros, Diane, Anna and Barbara are still at The Boathouse and all since 1989 - so if you remember the original Boathouse that is what you will now find - a small boutique hotel with large rooms (only 21 rooms with the one large pool) and a much quieter relaxed atmosphere with individual service and complimentary airport pick ups.
If you have visited The Boathouse more recently (like mentioned - between 2 - 6 years ago) you will notice a change for the better - a nice quiet break from the package tours and crowded pool area where you could never find a sun bed - that is The Arion Bay next door as they still work with the charters.
