lovely location.Shame about the restaurent manager
from JodyF
our family stayed at this very lovely looking hotel in july having flown from a wedding in Hungary on a visit from Australia. We felt there is an unrealistic and uncomfortable atmosphere surrounding the restaurent which the manager creates by his unfriendly and unpleasant attitude especially when informing guests they are not dressed suitably for dinner.A lesson in common diplomacy and good manners would avoid others the embarrasment we and others were caused by his off and unpleasant manner. So, be warned as an incident such as being turned away from dinner in the back waters of a lovely place as this can certainly spoil your holiday if you allow it.Management,if you are serious about your hotel and its reputation you must address this issue.
Loved Lindos Memories
from emma19
We stayed here for 2weeks. And we loved the Lindos Memories. It is a fantastis hotel for couples looking for a romantic hide away. We had half board and really liked the food. But we also went a few time in the evening to Lindos to eat out there. Lovely beach were you can snorkel.
Just as great as ever

Just got back (mid June 2007) from celebrating our 3rd wedding anniversary at Lindos Memories. We stayed there 3 years ago and they also hosted our wedding, so we were looking forward to returning. I was a little apprehensive as some reviews from last year complained about over booking and noisy children, but our stay at Memories was every bit as good as the last. From the moment you walk through the door you will be struck by how immaculate and clean everything is, as well as being gorgeously designed, and how friendly and efficient the staff are. We had requested room 312 as this is where we stayed before (ground floor) but the real motive behind this was because we hoped to see the cat we had adopted 3 years ago. Unfortunately when we arrived we were told someone else had booked room 312 and we were given 309 instead. Luckily, this is also on the ground floor and within 30 seconds of opening the patio doors our cat was back with 3 kittens in tow (if you don't like cats, PLEASE at least be kind to them as it is more their home than yours). They were an endless source of amusement throughout our holiday, and this time around we often saw the mother wondering through the pool area to the poolside taverna in the hope of finding some scraps, but rest assured she is not a pest and is a lovely cat. By and large, both the pool area and beach were not too busy or too noisy. Yes, there were more kids this time around, and they got a bit loud at times, but the parents often pulled them in to line, obviously conscious of the fact that this is a hotel where couples go to relax. I'm a fussy bugger and they rarely irritated me. I guess it could be worse later in the season though. The poolside taverna serves excellent food, but don't expect a snack (apart from an ice cream)! You'd think it was a bit expensive looking through the menu - 9 Euros for a Caeser Salad - but the portions are huge! I had a Caesar Salad about 3 times and it was always amazing and filled me up. One of my only gripes about the hotel is the slightly odd pricing policy. I expect things to be more expensive within the hotel, but some things are really out of proportion. We mainly stuck to pints of Mythos at the bar as it was about 4 Euros, not too bad. But one evening my wife asked if they had cider without first looking at the bar menu, and was shocked to be charged 6 Euros afterwards for a 250ml bottle of Strongbow!! Made worse by the fact she'd ordered 2 of them before we checked the bill! On another occasion, we had a meal in the restaurant and when it came to the desserts we found the prices were not in the menu, but since I'd already looked at the menu provided in our room I was confident that they were all around the 6 Euros price range. They brought our bill with the desserts and again my wife was shocked to see her desert was 12 Euros. To put it in to context, I had a great desert, some big cake, costing 6 Euros, whereas she had a SINGLE scoop of ice cream, a smattering of chopped fruit, and a drizzle of Cointraeu on top. Not quite worth £10 in our opinion. We did get it knocked off the bill when she complained though LOL. The mini bar is also pretty expensive but a price list is in the room so make sure you check it first. Basically just keep your eyes open and don't assume anything when it comes to prices! I really can't sing the praises of this wonderful hotel enough. Gorgeous architecture, immaculately clean, great staff, great food etc etc. By theway, they have free Champagne available with breakfast on a Sunday but don't tell you about it! I think most people don't realise or are too shy to ask. Just go up and help yourself. They also hand out complimentary watermelon every afternoon at about 3pm to the guests lounging by the pool.
Amazing Property
from rjc260
For 100 Euros per night this was one of the best lodging options we have ever chosen. We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful this property after reading the generally good reviews and looking at the hotel web site. We were lucky to have a seaside view on the second floor. Our balcony faced the pool, beach and the cliffs and the dry but scenic landscape to the south. After check-in the hotel delivered complementary wine and fruit. The room is of average size but the furniture is very modern and the condition was spotless. The bathroom was very spacious and well-appointed. The pool area was exceptionally well designed with a bridge and several areas varying in depth. The adjacent taverna will bring drinks and food (for hotel prices however) while you lounge by the pool. There was a Greek Night while we were there with an open buffet and grill for 25 Euros. There is also a beach down a few steps that is decent for snorkeling, swimming, etc. The hotel has an upscale restaurant and bar that both open late afternoon. There is a basic fitness center downstairs with a couple of treadmills in good condition as well as a rowing machine. The location is about 1.5km south of Lindos and has convenient parking. I would highly recommend the Lindos Memories to anyone visiting Lindos or for anyone willing to make a special trip to this scenic area.
More wonderful Memories...

My husband and I got married in the courtyard of the beautiful Lindos Memories hotel three years ago and went back this June to celebrate our anniversary. Thankfully, nothing had changed - the hotel, pool, beach, EVERYTHING was immaculately clean. The staff were again friendly and helpful and the food was GORGEOUS (especially breakfast where the buffet was so diverse - everything from scrambled eggs to fresh pancakes to jelly and rice pudding!) The secluded beach is perfect and GREAT for snorkelling. The pool-side taverna is no 'snack bar' - their reasonably priced salads and light meals are HUGE, more like a main course! I was also impressed with their variety of ice-creams and lollies - particularly the 'Girly' pink star-shaped one!!! The pool is beautiful - perfect size with a bubbly jacuzzi area. The Naverone restaurant (evening meals) doesn't have a huge menu, in my opinion, particularly for vegetairians, but the food they serve is delicious (be careful of dessert prices, though - mine cost over twelve Euros!) Room service is quick and efficiant, the mini bar is well-stocked but the contents are obviously more expensive than you'd pay in a supermarket. One of the highlights of my holiday was seeing 'my' beloved cat , Othello, who befriended me three years ago and is now the mother of three hilarious and gorgeous kittens. If you're a cat lover, you'll be delighted with these four cuties, especially Othello (black and white) who is so friendly and loves a cuddle! We got a taxi to Lindos most nights and also spent time in Lardos (quiet, peaceful, best food on the island!), Pefkos (busy, touristy, great cocktail bars and beach) and Rhodes Town (BEAUTIFUL - particularly the spectacular Old Town and atmospheric Mandraki Harbour). This place is fantastic and most people go there to relax so if you have young children, it's not the ideal hotel. Writing this review has made me all misty-eyed. I want to go back NOW (even although I only got back two days ago...) Just perfect xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
A true Memory
from Wandhill
We stayed in Lindos Memories for our daughters wedding in May The weather had been really nice, but the day of the wedding it turned cloudy and by 6pm when the wedding would take place the heavens had opened. We had Karen & Lawrence cordinaters from Lindos Weddings who along with the hotel manager were just brilliant. The wedding should have been held on the beach, we had booked a violinist, arch of flowers, balloons to release and a greek band had been booked to play in the outside tavena. At 5.30 it was apparent the wedding would not be going to take place on the beach which is when Karen,Lawrence and Apostle, the hotel manager, came into their own. They arranged everything to be re-located into the beautiful covered arched walkway in the hotel where the ceremony took place and after the reception in the beautiful restaurant. There was nothing we could do about the weather so we just smiled and proceeded to have a fantastic wedding. The violinist began to play and along came the beautiful, perfect bride with her proud father by her side. The wedding took place with the arch of flowers been centre piece, when the ceremony was over thr bride and groom released 50 balloon into the air (the rain had ceased a little at this point) the wedding feast took place, the food was great and plentiful, the service from Chrissa,Liza and George was second to none. To complete the evening the greek band were incredible. Thank you so much Karen and Lawrence we don't know what we would have done without you both.also thank you Lindos Memories you have made us a Memory we will never forget.
Fabulous Memories

We have just returned from 10 days at the Lindos Memories Hotel. It was our 1st visit to Rhodes and were arriving in the the early hours of the morning, so I was a little anxious about what the room/hotel would be like. I needn't have worried it surpassed all expectations, the hotel was immaculate and the staff were all very helpful and friendly at all times. I was very impressed that every morning everything was wiped down and cleaned, sun beds, patios, windows everything. The room we had was a double deluxe which had an excellent pool and sea view and was very spacious. There is a bus stop very close to the hotel if you wish to venture out to other areas, but Lindos Village was a short taxi ride away at only 7 Euro's. There is a great selection of bars and restaurants in Lindos and I cannot highly recommend enough 'Sinatras' which is run by Peggy, Mike and Kara. Once we discovered this we went back every night for the friendly, relaxed atmosphere and Mike's 1st class cooking - You must try the Lamb Shank! Also pricey but also worth a visit is 'Ambrosia' which is very classy. We will definitely be returning to Rhodes and Lindos Memories will be our hotel of choice everytime.
Beautiful!

My partner and I booked this holiday with WatsonHolidays.co.uk and were thoroughly impressed. The hotel was exactly as what was described to us. The hotel has a large swimming pool with a whirlpool and its own private beach. Access to the water is over pebbles, but once in, the sea is crystal clear. If you are staying Half Board, the restaurant is excellent. The staff are helpful and it is not a buffet. The rooms are spacious and in my opinion very elegant. Our room was on the ground floor, but if you are travelling, I would reccommend asking for a high floor. The hotel is only 2 stories high. The hotel is close to Lindos Village but I would reccommend getting a taxi in and out. Or car hire. We hired a car through our travel agent before we travelled and got it for about £80 for the week! We didnt need transfers, so that saved us about £40.00! And we didn't have to pay for any excursions, we did it all ourselves. There is only one main road in Rhodes, so finding your way around is very very easy. Rhodes has lots to see and do. Rhodes town is nice but can be very busy. Falaraki is actually really nice, we were pleasantly suprised. I hope that you find this helpful, we would definately go back.
Great location, some cons
from D76
We have just returned from a week at the Lindos Memories. Overall the hotel is good, the location is excellent, the pool area and the private beach are very nice. Some cons however: the room assigned to us was rather small and with view on the parking, we expected something better for a honeymoon (the hotel was informed that for us it was a very special trip). the evening meals are to be avoided, no quality at all in the dishes served. Wine overpriced.
Sleepless in Lindos
from Mcnnng
This was our fourth visit to Lindos Memories. We have always loved it in the past, quiet, good food, lovely, lovely staff. Not this year. The hotel was as ever immaculate, the staff charming and remembered us, the food excellent. The hotel was full which was unusual. We learned that this was because the new manager had filled it with overflow from their other hotels, young people in th main who were looking for noise and excitement, generally in the middle of the night. Then came the wedding party of many young people, I think Irish, who had drinking parties every night, went skinny dipping at 3.00am. One party had a BBQ on the balcony next to ours!. The management were very sorry, gave us free wine with our dinners for 7 nights, and finally when they could not stop the noise in the middle of the night put us in their best suite and moved the noisy party in next to us! Out of 14 nights we have four that were not disturbed by noisy parties, and we thought we had found a HOTEL FOR LIFELONG HOLIDAYS!
