We stayed at the Globus in September, The weather was good, room fine but the service from the staff was very poor.
We were half board but had to eat out, there was no service, and the staff took any decent food before putting it out, the crockery was dirty as were the staff , not washing their hands etc.
Balkan Holidays know this, but they are evasive, the rep says the right words but does nothing as do Balkan Holidays complaints manager
They take your money but do not provide a service.
You would be better to go to a piggery to get your food than the Globus

how any body can say the food is ok in the globus hotel is beyond me,my wife and i have just returned home oct 2010 after two weeks half board wished i had gone room only,the food was cold and not up to standard people where having to line up at the one microwave to hot there soup up,they cant even fry an egg it really was bad,the staff where scruffy wearing trainers and jeans and didnt really have a clue,plates,knives and forks were not very clean,salt pots not clean and lucky if you could find one with salt in,im not been bad just saying how it was many people where complaining when asked to see a manager was told no manager so complained to the rep,the hotel is ok in fact very good but be prepared to eat out as many of us did,so to be honest unless you want a slimming holiday dont go to the globus hotel.

My mum and myself only booked our holiday 2 weeks before we went, so got a very reasonable 2 weeks half board. We went with Balkan Holidays, flights were ok.
Got to the hotel mid afternoon, and there were quite a few of us, as we checked in they asked us to wait for a porter to take us up to show us air con etc, we were fine about this but alot of the people were moaning.
The safety deposit box I thought was quite expensive at 78 leva for 2 weeks but was a must.
Our room was on the 5th floor, with a beautiful view out to sea and Nessebar, our room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels, and the beds changed regular.
We were there for the last two weeks of season so although there was noise for bars along the front, there wasn't noise from the pool bar as there was never anyone there. Being on the 5th floor we never really heard any noise when the balcony door was shut. The most noise we got was from doors banging, the doors are operated by key cards so as you go out, you couldn't put the handle down to shut the door quietly. We found we had a fridge in the room which we think must have been the mini bar during the summer season, but was empty, though we found it useful for water.
Mum was lookin forward to being able to use the fitness room for a run on the treadmill, but this was not working, she spoke to the hotel reception on the side of the hotel where the fitness room was and got a yes it was working and a no it wasn't working at the same time from the two on reception, very confusing!
Breakfast was good, having been to Turkey numerous times I was used to cheese and meats and bread for breakfast. There was always plenty of hot food although the fried eggs were quite snotty.
Evening meals left something to be desired, although we never went hungry, some nights were worse than others.
You had to be up early to get an unbroken sunbed on the side of the pool that didn't go into shade by half 1, and although the sunbeds and pads were free if you put up an umbrella you were charged 5 leva.
We had read that there were lots of jellyfish in the sea before we went so that put us off going in the sea, although we did go and put our feet in the black sea, the beach was always quite busy although alot of people were using their towels as opposed to paying the 15 leva for the sunbeds.
As it was the last two weeks of season, even when we got there alot of places had started to shut down and over the fortnight we saw alot of the hotels and bars closing down. We found the Glarus Hotel that had a bar attached to it that we went to, we got good service, the drinks were cheap, buy one get one free and not weak!!
We spent a couple of days in Nessebar, 1 lev on the bus, which was beautiful, although sold alot of the same stuff as the srtip in front of the hotel did, and we found the illegal money changers quite pushy to try and get you to change money with them.
Although most bars had someone out front trying to get you inside they were never pushy, or aggressive if you said no thanks.
All in all we had a good holiday with only 2 rainy days, and although not in a rush to go back, I would like to return...

just back from 2wks in sunny beach, hotel has an ideal beach location, we had a lovely room on the 12th floor, having a corner room we had a balcony at the front and at the side, so we got the sun the whole day. room was cleaned every day, clean towels every day, clean bedding every 3rd day. Even though we were on an b+b basis, having been to bulgaria twice before we know to give hotel food a miss, as there is plenty of good eating establishments to be found, food and drink prices are still very reasonable in sunnybeach, however due to the globus's location especially if your on the end building, your so close to the main drag you get all the music coming out from the bars more so the open air night clubs, which pump out music from about 8 at night to about 4 in the morning, even later in the high season, maybe not an ideal location for people with youg families, good idea if balkan holidays pointed this out in their holiday brochure, as the main drag is surounded by several big hotels, all in all a good holiday

just got back from a 2 week holiday in bulgaria staying at hotel globus sunny beach with my girlfriend. i've got to say that the staff were very helpful and catered to your every needs. the rooms were very clean and tidy and the pool was very clean aswel. met two locals called danny and bam bam and they were very helpful and were very polite and catered to your every needs when they had time. we booked in as b&b and to be honest the breakfast wasn't that nice but still edible . if you want a nice breakfast me and my girlfriend went to the marina which is right by the hotel which serves loverly food and the staff very polite also went to the eagle for a evening meal which is a short walk behind the hotel opposite kfc.the service was excellent as was the food . i will defo go back there and also there is plenty of shops to do bit shopping. all in all we had a really good time. .....

Me and my boyfriend just came back yesterday, we stayed at the glubus for 11 nights it was very clean and the rooms we really big and cleaned every day. The only fault we found we some plates we dirty.
The staff was ok they dont say much to you but we didnt mind that cause we hate people buggin us while we trying to have a holiday. The people generally in bulgaria are really nice, there not pushy trying make you buy anything they just leave you be.
The wheather was amazing nearly all the time very hot, somedays were abit cloudy but it cleared in a matter of minutes.
The location was amazing the hotel is right on the beach and the sea is nice and clear, some days big waves so awsome on a lielow and some days just really calm. There are shops and resturants all along the beach which is nice cause everything is there. We are going again next year with all the family!!!!!!!!

Just come home from a week in the Globus the hotel is a lovely hotel and in a prime location the only thing that lets it down is the restaurant. The staff are dressed in there own clothes and some look scruffy. The food is not edable that is when there is any out. If you dont go for breakfast when the restaurant opens at 7am you just dont get anything.Evening meals were all the same the whole week we were there. You couldnt get a clean glass or plate unless you washed it yourself, the hygeine leave a lot to be desired you can see the chef sitting in the kitchen smoking with there feet up when the staff are going in and out of the kitchen. If you stay at the Globus i suggest that you eat out, there are loads of excellent and reasonable restaurant all around sunny beach. September 2010

my sister and i have just returned today from globus hotel it is a very clean hotel prime location not a 4star hotel more like a 2/3 the restaurant lets it down the food is just about edible. the young staff very unprofessional. taking plates away before you have finished eating if you want a drink with your meal ie..wine-water etc you have to wait ages the staff are constantly on their phones are dressed in their own clothes jeans and crop tops.laughing and joking amongst themselves. on 2 nights we asked for 2 glasses of wine and were charged 8 levs by the lads on duty. another 2 nights when a blonde girl was on duty the wine was only 6 levs. when we asked the lads why? they said they did not understand . this is a great place for familys with children plenty to do and shopping galore for the adults. the beach is very clean and has numerous lifeguards. it will cost you 21 lev for 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella for the day. the weather hot. only had rain for a couple of hours .overall .....a good holiday just the resturant not up to standard but plenty of places to eat out. would go again but stay bed and breakfast.

Globus Hotel is a great place. I had great experience. Staff is so good. I like to go again and again. Sunny beach, widest and longest beach, as Bulgaria’s ever changing a revolutionary big, biggest and going to huge dimensions with resorts and hotels shooting up in beaches and in dunes, this is a total entertainment and holiday package with the showering of sun and sunniest people!

me 19 and my gf 18 went for 11nyts. Great place altogether food 10/10 people 10/10 rooms 10/10!!!!!!
