Ostraco Suites

Ostraco Suites is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. A couple of staff were good but some were extremely rude. From check in to check out the stay was horrible, the rooms were dirty to a point that insects were found. The rooms were not cleaned during our stay. The hot water would finish in about 15 minutes thus allowing one person to shower only. The room was small compared to a REAL 4 star hotel. The TV in the room was a computer screen which would have static when watching something. For a 4 star hotel there were no bathrobes or slippers in the room and the towels smelt as if they were used at least 5 times before they were given to us. The breakfast included with the stay was awful, not worth waking up for. The only nice thing about this hotel was the pool but honestly it is about 3 * 4 meters total Overall for the price I paid for this hotel i expected a lot more, I would definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone who would ask me because in fact it should be rated no higher then a 2 star hotel. My suggestion to anyone, is not to book in this hotel. Its a rip off first of all, you do not get the value of your money at all! I stayed in a much cheaper hotel in Santorini, and it was amazing. The rooms are DIRTY, when we first arrived, there was dust everywhere, and hair IN our bed, and all over the floors. There is no SOAP holder so you have to leave your soap lying around next to the marble of the sink. Moroever, there are no bins in the rooms, or even tissue. One night, I pulled open the bed cover, and there was a black bug crawling around on my bed. We went down to reception, only to be told that they will "kill it" for us, and use PIFF PAFF. We asked for a room change, and got refused! Even when we mentioned it upon check out, we didn't get an apology, we got the "its an island, you should expect it" lecture. I'm sorry but you're supposed to respect your customers who paid a lot of money to stay in your worthless not even 4 star hotel. We stayed 3 nights, and during those 3 nights, the bed sheets were never changed! And I knew this because I spilt pepsi on the bed sheet, and it was still there until we left. For a 4 star hotel this really is a joke, Some staff was very nice, but others were just plain rude. I am advising everyone I know not to even bother staying in this hotel, its a rip off - its not even 4 star value, and its extremely dirty, and they don't value their customers one bit.

Very good hotel: good atmosphere, good location, good rooms, good breakfast! One of the best hotels never seen in Mykonos

My and my husband stayed here on our honeymoon.. we missed our first night due to flight problems.. and when we did check in the next day.. Stella upgrade us to the honeymoon suite!! and we were welcomed with a bottle of champagne.. which we turned into mimosas for breakfast :) the pool/bar area is so beautiful.. the complimentary breakfast was also fabulous! Stella is such a nice woman.. and you can tell she loves to take care of her guests! Our only complaint was there was no shower.. it was a bath shower.. and our bathtub wasnt that clean.. the shampoo bottle was half missing.. and the room kind of smelled from the rain that the island got the day before.. We even had a cockroach run out from the bathroom in the middle of the night.. over all. it was a great stay..

Went to Mykonos, and a friend of mine recommended this place. We book their Standard Room were upgraded to a suite which was great. The pool is very nice, as the sea was too cold to swim. The staff are very nice, and the atmosphere great.

Ostraco suites was absolutely spot on. The whole place is immaculately presented with lots of stunning outdoor seating areas with bright cusions where you can really relax. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite which was beautifully decorated, very spacious and had a great terrace with a view of the sea where we enjoyed many drinks watching the sunset before heading into town to discover the many bars and restaurants. The service was so friendly and helpful - Stella was particularly knowlegeable and can't do enough for you. She made us really feel at home! Breakfast is served on a beautiful terrace overlooking the pool, and is delicous, fresh and there is plenty of choice. Mykonos town is a 10 minute walk - there is a handy track that leads all the way from the hotel to the centre meaning you avoid the road completely. We stayed for a week and didn't want to leave - Mykonos has so much to offer, from stunning beaches, to a beautifully buzzing town full of life both day and night! We rented a scooter one day to explore the island, which is a great way to get around - the hotel got a local company Appolon to pick us up which was excellent! Main beaches are easily reached by busses as well (Paraga was out favourite!). Wondering around the winding streets in town proves endless fun - you will always come accross new bars and restaurants. Porta bar is particularly fun! Look out for Petros the pelican! Boat trips to the island of Delos are also well worth doing. We can't wait to visit Mykonos again and will definitely stay at Ostraco again. Thank you for an unforgetable stay!

Well, the title says it all. Very nice pool, but the rest was disappointing. We got a standard room which was tiny (like the tall one of us could not fit in the shower). There was a lousy smell as well. We asked for a different room as the day after we were upgraded to a suite, which was very large, and nicely decorated. Unfortunately the stink of mould was unbearable (they told us it was because of the heavy and unusual rain- the smell came from behind a built in wardrobe, I'd say it was some structural problem in the wall..). Faced with the choice: small room or large stinky suite we thought we could survive in the latter keeping the windows open- Mistake: the hotel is near a large road so very loud too. The experience was a bit of a joke: toiletries missing (if the shampoo was there, there was not soap and so on), no mini bar menu, no not disturb sign (in fact the room attendant entered while sleeping), bits and pieces broken/missing...I'd expect better at eur 170 per night. Also, fashion shooting every day- they started early in the morning and were pretty loud too. Havent been in other hotels in Mykonos, but I'd think it's possible to find better places.

What is not to like there. You have a great view a beautiful pool. Stella the owner and Christina the manager just can't do enough. From breakfast (included) to lunch the food was delicious and we didn't have to leave the pool. You want to rent a moped? they have one delivered. Just a 10 minute walk into town (ask for the shortcut, steep but safer). Centrally located and a lovely haven.

I had the most pleasurable stay at Ostraco Suites! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, the room was great, I especially loved the pool and bar area, and the staff are friendly and professional. Ostraco Suites is a luxury boutique hotel with a warm personal touch, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Mykonos! Big thanks to Katerina and Stella, the lovely hotel owners! 110% recommended! Rachel

Ostraco Suites is an excellent hotel situated only 5 min. from the city centre. The rooms are big with all the amenities neccessary and very clean. The hotel outside including its breakfast area, pool and bar are very very nice. I would definitely suggest to someone to go to this hotel. in addition the staff was very polite and helpful.
