Hotel Mirabello is situated in a very quiet area at the center of Heraklion. Renovations of 2001 gave our guests the opportunity to enjoy a nice and friendly stay.
This hotel has got to be the best I have ever gone to!!! It was 4 star I think, which is why I only give it 9 out of 10 cos I'm saving my 10 for when I visit a 5 star hotel (if?!?) as I'm a scrooge.
The hotel was very nice, had it's own beach which was bigger than any other beach on the East side of Crete. The people there were very nice and friendly and the food wash terrific. They have fresh water pools, salt water pools, sauna, spa, tennis courts free beach sunbeds/parasols and every room has a balcony, most with a gorgeous see view, the rest with a nice view of the mountains to the South West of the hotel.
It is in a great location for visiting both the town of Agios Nikolaos and as it's on the main bus route around the East coast you can also easily get to the Northern towns, saving you a lot of money to visit Spinalonga, and also to the Southern towns which has a small beach but an amazing inflatable play thing in the water which is HUGE! I've booked back there for 31st May next year for 18 nights as 14 nights seemed to go way too soon!
