We stayed here for 2 nights in May. We stayed here because, after just having splurged a bit in Santorini, we were looking to save some money.
It was cheap (80 Euros per night) and since we were only in Athens for 2 nights, and our 2nd night we had to get up at 3am for our flight, we knew we wouldn't be in the hotel very much so we booked here.
This hotel was a good choice for our needs.
The location was pretty convenient. (About 6 blocks to the Metro, just under a 10 minute walk).
The room was pretty nice, much nicer than I expected for 80 Euros. Our non-smoking room was fairly spacious with two twin beds pushed together and a sofa, desk, TV and AC which you control. There was a balcony that opened out facing north of the hotel. There was a bit of street noise (we were on the 7th floor) but not bad enough to keep us up at night. We wouldn't have wanted to be much lower though. The bathroom was really nice with a good size shower but not a lot of counter space.
The neighborhood was definitely a bit more run down than the Plaka area (we decided to call it "gritty"), but we never felt unsafe and didn't mind it for the price.
There is one computer in the reception area for guests to use which we found handy. Additionally, there was free Wi-Fi in the room.
The free breakfast was nothing to rave about.
Since we had to leave ridiculously early in the morning (before the metro started running), the front desk arranged for a taxi to pick us up at 4:30am but they could only tell us that the fare would be around 30-34 Euros to the airport. Turned out it was 38 which we thought was pretty outrageous for the 30 minute ride (but of course that's not the hotel's fault, just FYI).
Good bargain...decent, clean place to lay your head.
