Room was average in size, bathroom was standard and everything was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful even though there was a language barrier at times. Only a five minute walk from Monastriaki, lots of restaurants and close to the Acropolis and other sights.
Not particularly difficult to find, located in-between Omonia Square and Monastriaki, entrance to hotel is between fruit and veg stalls and the name of the hotel is in large letters down the side of the building.
Only downside was the square directly behind the fruit and veg stalls where people appeared to be taking some substance or other. This was a little disturbing but despite this the hotel was in a good location for our purposes and was definitely nicer than a later hotel that we stayed in 3weeks later.

Hi there, I stayed at the Omega with my partner and young son. On our arrival the taxi driver who dropped us off at the hotel warned us of its reputation. It couldn't be that bad! It was worse, our room was on the 7 floor-you could take the lift or walk. The lift was like something out of a horror movie and very very small.
The room, basic, overlooking the market and the drug takers, this was all day everyday. We see them freely injecting some substance into their bodies. The window in the room was very large(size of patio doors) but none of the window locks worked. Food was dreadful so ate out all the time. Out side the hotel, of a night-time, the street girls went to work again this was every night.
These are the negatives
The positives are the hotel is local to the metro - fab to get around on. You could stroll up to the Acropolis and back down through PLAKA which is lined with little shops, bars and restaurants. The city is wonderful, full of wonderful history and as always the Greek people are lovely.
