Superb hotel for summer walking and exploring. Easy access to Zell am See and the Lake and connections by train from there to Salzburg etc.
The Alpen is large and high standard but quite quiet in summer. Herr Thomas runs this Hotel with a close eye to standards and welcome.
Staff are very friendly and go to extremes to make you comfortable. Accommodation and meals are excellent.
An in house activities guide, Nikki, is on hand to guide and take part in your walks or climbs. Joe and Ray provide music for dancing two nights a week in the large and well appointed bar.
Saalbach is small but provides many walking options with four cable cars within a mile or so of the Hotel.
Two are on your doorstep and tow others in nearby Hinterglemm. Indoor pool and beauty Salon, Sauna and free mountain bike hire are available.
I highly rate this Hotel which has many return guests.
