They overcharged us 300 euros and refuse to refund!
from Voyager000
Do not go there! BUSY AND TOURISTIC AREA We booked for a week. After 2 days we had enough because Hersonnissos is so touristic, noisy, crowded and commercial. This is a place for tourists who do not want to experience the beautiful nature and calm of Crete. You need to drive at least 1 to 2 hours (along the coast) to get away from the crowdiness. Morover, the balcony of our studio overlooked an ugly roof with a huge antenna, which was right in front of us. DISHONEST MANAGEMENT We asked if we could cancel the rest of our reservation and they assured us that this was no problem. They also promised that we would get a refund for the remaining days, as the total amount had already been taken from our credit card. Also be aware: they charge you extra taxes which they do not mention when you book the room nor when you arrive and pay for the room! We never got the refund for the remaining days (300 euros) and they now claim that we indeed left after two days, but that we wanted to keep the room for the rest of the week. This is of course absurd and a plain lie.

In replay to this comment we would like to inform our guests that after that, our manger lost his job and he is not working any longer to our resort.
However, we didn’t find any cancellation of the guests that making the comment witch means that they shouldn’t take the refund of 300 euros.
Other than that, they stayed in the hotel and after of two days they “change plans” and moved in another part of the Island as they had friends there!!! According hotels cancellation policy “early check out” for guests just changing plans (no serious reason), not excuse any refund of money and must be charged with a penalty.
We regret to announce that the specific guests they didn’t even accept our Htl offers in upgraded room types with complimentary breakfast and lounge!!!
In some internet sites is written that taxes are not included in rate or excluding taxes, receptionist or the night auditor must require them separately.
The Guests booked a standard studio witch is in low class and taxes must be paid accordingly.
Sincerely
Lina

loved it!

Before I come to crete I have to say I was not sure what I will be walking into, but to my surprise once I walked inito Korifi suites,I knew these next few days are going to be nothing but delicious. The view from every corner in this hotel is blue waters of adriatic sea & beautiful village of Piskopiano & all tiny ,cute serrounding villages Which made it very easy to entertain myself without getting board during my stay. My suite was very clean & had a homey felling. I have to say it could have been very cost effective had I travelled with other friends ,becuase there are every measns to do soin the rooms. You would be treated to a true greecian breakfast if you choose so.Every one in the hotel was very friendly which made it even more special & I would go back to this lovley hotel in a heart beat.So you can tell I would recommend this hotel to every one.
very friendly, couldn't be better

It is our second time this year and we booked differently. The hotel has an absolutely superb view over the harbour and ocean. It is situated away from the normal tourist buzz, which means more privacy The rooms are very beautiful decorated with a lot of attention. The service was excellent anytime we asked especially for the tour around the island. It is a big change to normal 4* hotels as it is managed more like a private home where people are not just "another number" There are some remote beaches which are not far away from the hotel (10 minutes by car) than the others crowded near by. It is pricey, but worth the money as it is very unique place, after all now a days it is not the best thing to choose “cheep hotels” that might be dangerous and in fact sometimes cost you much more. Rental is relatively cheap and can be organized by the hotel. Pick up of the car is directly at the hotel. Don’t rend a car from the Airport better take the hotel pick up service or a Taxi.
Terrible and these other reviewers are clueless

I booked a 4 night stay here and the place was barely livable. The room was so dark that it fell like a bomb shelter. The place is far from anything and it will cost you 30 EUROS to get there. There are no main roads or any point of interest. This place is more a budget MOTEL 6 than suites. The photos are misleading and receptionist is clueless about anything. The rooms were dark and air conditioning was EXTRA?! The bathroom was disgusting. After 1 hour of exploring the room, my friend and I made the receptionist call us a cab out of there. Though we had already paid the receptionist forced us to sign waivers just to leave this stinky hell hole. We ended up staying at the MEGARON which was 1,000X better than this dump. If you are smart, you will keep very far away from this place.

Great place - great local restaurants - very helpful owner
from KateP_7
We spent eight nights at the Korifi in early August. We had a very enjoyable stay. The apartments are up the slope from the main street through Piskopiano village. They are very pretty and well kept, with nice gardens and a great view over Hersonissos and the sea. We have three children and having the apartment nearest the pool was very useful. We had two rooms and a bathroom. One room with three beds, the TV, a balcony and the air con unit, the other with two beds and the kitchen area. There wasn't a separate lounge/dining area. Air conditioning is included in the price. Kitchen equipment was basic but clean, the table was very small and we only had two chairs so if you were properly self catering for five it might have been a struggle. But In any case George the owner was very helpful so I'm sure if we'd asked for more chairs or any other equipment he would have found it for us. There were also little tables and chairs dotted around outside that we could use to sit and eat at if we wanted to. Anyhow, the restaurants in Piskopiano were so near and so good that we didn't feel the need to cook much. Kostas was the nearest and also the best - really great food. The pool was not generally busy, we often had it to ourselves, so although it is fairly small, it was fine. It was partly in shade for about half the day which was great for the kids since being August it was extremely hot. Also being high up there was a nice breeze quite a lot of the time. There were a few other British people staying here, but it was very much a mixture of Greek, French, Dutch. It was quiet - didn't feel busy even though it was full. We visited Star Beach, very nearby in Hersonissos, when the kids wanted a little more to do - this is a free to enter water park where you pay for the water slides and other rides on the sea if you so wish - there's a small beach there and lots of pools very good for little ones. We also went to two other "proper" water parks, Aqua Plus and Water City - the former was easy to find but the latter was up in the mountains and although it had better slides, we got very lost coming home and I never want to see it again! You do need a car to get around, to get to beaches etc. but not for the local village. All in all, highly recommended.
Chill out in the hot sun

We just came back from a week long stay at the Korifi and I can't think of a single thing I'd change. My wife and I are pretty fussy and have stayed insome nice places over the years and we would recommend Korifi unreservedly. The whole place has a lovely relaxed chilled out vibe, the rooms and gardens are immaculately maintained and the staff friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed it so much we didn't leave the site for three whole days apart from to go for walks to 'Old' Hersonissos and Koutouloufari and to go and eat. Yioryios, the director, recommended we try the Kostas Taverna by the Old Church, on our first night - we ate all our evening meals there for the rest of the week.... says it all. Yes, this site is on a steep hill, with many steps and that may discourage some, but we looked on that as a way of walking off the Tsoukodia (Raki) after dinner. The steps and the hill seemed to get less steep as the week went on! The rooms/suites are very comfortable, (we tried three - see below) have everything you need to self cater, and are wonderfully private - whichever you are in you aren't really overlooked - and the complex has lots of knooks and crannies where you can sit in the sun and listen to the Tzitzikas as they roll their 'mexican waves' of sound across the hillsides. For the main part of our stay we were in a small suite (Delta1) and the views from the balcony were wonderful. AC is included and the rooms are much less 'spartan' than in some other Greek places. The complex is very quiet at night and very peaceful during the day as most residents seem to go to the beach. The complex is maybe 4 minutes walk from the supermarket in Piscopiano, good for a cold beer and wine and bread, not to mention monster breakfast croissants, and the same again from Koutoufoulari. 8 mins in the other direction takes you to the village square in 'old' Hersonissos. A 20 minute walk takes you to the resort of Hersonissos; not our style but it has everything including good bus services to other resorts; you dont need to hire a car to see a lot of the north coast of Crete if you travel on the regular airconditioned buses from downtown If you want to hire a car or scooter just ask Yioryios and it will be delivered (and collected) for you. Yioryios is a genuinely nice guy who actually seems to enjoy being a hotellier and he takes a flexible approach to meeting your needs... "We are arriving at 04:00 am can we have a room even though check-in is not until 12:00?" "Sure, telephone when you arrive, the night porter will let you in, and we will put you in an empty room and then check you into your room when you've rested" "Can I stay an extra night?" (and this at less than 24 hours notice) "Sure, we will move you to another room for this day because your room is booked for another guest" Just lovely, try it for yourself, we will certianly be going back.
Delightful

Just returned from a couple of days stay at the Korifi suites Piskopiano. We were made to feel welcome right from the outset - and consquently felt relaxed and at home right away. The staff were very friendly and the acommodation excellent. The apartments were spacious and very clean, as well as being appropriately appointed for self catering. The suites are aranged such that everyone has their own privacy. (we were lucky enough to get a private balcony with a sea view). The hotel is set back a little 100-150m (up quite a steep incline) from the main road through Piskopiano, with parking along the road as well as the (relatively small) hotel car park. Consequently would recommend car hire (Car Art in Piskopiano - we MUST recommend) The Korifi suites represent phenominal value for money - we would most definitely stay again. Thank you!
A down-to-earth, heart-warming experience

I visited Crete Island at a very wrong season, and most of the attractions were closed. What rescued me from the depressing experience was my delightful stay at the Korifi Suites. I liked the spacious suite and stuffs were very friendly and kind to me. The suite is located at the top of a mountain/hill, so it takes a bit travel to get there, but from my room, I enjoyed a great panoramic ocean view.
Loved the Korifi suites,Gabriel and Roxana from Buenos Aires,Argentina

Beautifull place to spend a great vacation. Nice people, George his owner is great and kind person. Everytime available to help us in any circunstance. Piskopiano is lovely, plenty of tavernas where you can eat the most delicious greek food. The korifi has breathtaking views of the sea. Is not far from the beaches and if you dont rent a car, you can get easy the Hersonissos port by taxi. The property is very clean, it has a nice swimming pool very clean too. The rooms(at least mine)are in greek style decoration, white walls, blue doors and windows and a tiny balcony looking at the sea. The aircondition works ok, anyway in the nigth the sea breeze is pretty good enough so you probably dont need it. Youhave a little kitchen and all of you need if you want the self catering way. But if you want, you can ask the manager to order breakfast and meals the day before of your request. The linens are changes every four days. All the people around are very nice and almost everybody speaks english very fluently, so if you have any doubt you can ask anybody and take for sure they can help you. I dont speak a very good english, but I hope my report can help to take the choice to choose the Korifi, for me and my husband the best option in Crete. George...my greek friend, we are looking foward to see you next summer. Dont miss the Korifi...is like paradise.
Beautiful views, charming location

The Korifi Suites are well above the average expected from self catering accommodation in Greece, from the good qualitiy bed linen thru to the fresh flowers in the room the owners make every effort to guarantee the comfort of their guests. The pool is small but is kept clean and there is plenty of space to sunbathe in the gardens. Lots of super tavernas and shops in the village make tis the perfect place to relax

It’s a Group of Lovely little Greek traditional villages full of hospitality in few meters, with gorgeous atmosphere and life. Definitely the best hotel with the lowest rates.- a bit away from the busy town and close to the beaches. We truly had great times in our suite and we booked again for this year.
