My 5th successive May week here. Go for golf at Corfu Golf Club with 3DGolf.com. This family run hotel only about 1K from course. Hotel consists of large apartments/studios with kitchen/fridge etc and balconys on the hillside above Ermones beach. Not for anyone with walking problems, though there ia a lift from reception area. Situation is stunning, though a very quiet area and a car would be advisable. The staff are the friendliest I have ever met in all the years I have spent in Greece and have travelled all over since 1981. Big pool with pool bar, restaurant down overlooking sea with further bar and outdoor dining area. Food is good and nothing too much trouble because it's "family hands on " Room is serviced each day and everything very clean.
Some good tavernas nearby, the Olympic just up the road is great as is Taverna 97 at the nearby village of Vatos. Real Greek and not your usual tourist tavernas.
Anyone not happy with this place must be very picky! Took a golfing friend this year, he could not belive how good it was for the price and he's stayed in some great places all over the world. Going again in 09.
