Playa Pocillos Apartments Reviews
" The apartment was excellent.... "
Submitted By: Miss N Smith
The apartment was excellent. (Although the TV’s weren’t working) but we had a radio to keep us occupied.
The rooms were comfortable.
We did find the resort very quiet but we just ventured further a field for the bars etc.
The staff were very nice and helpful.
Taxi ranks, bus stops and a supermarket were all within a few minutes walk away.
There was a lot of noise from the airport but we got used to that very quickly.
Taxis are extremely cheap, 4-5 euros (roughly £2-£3) for a trip to Puerto Del Carmen (about 10 minutes drive away).
The beach was quiet, 5 min walk away with a few shops, supermarkets and bars. (8euros for sun bed) But very windy, better off getting a taxi to Puerto Del Carmen for the day.
If you get the opportunity for the catamaran, do it. It was a brilliant day. We had a free jet-ski ride. The crew were great and treated you really well. Quite expensive but well worth it! (48 euros).
Airtours (My Travel) were good but the plane was so uncomfortable. You hardly see the reps, which didn’t bother us because we have been to Lanzarote before.
Would also recommend Timanfaya, Lanzarotes only active volcano. You have a coach trip round the volcano and there is a restaurant at the top. Won’t say anymore, don’t want to spoil it for you!!.
Enjoy!!

" I found the Playa Pocillios... "

I found the Playa Pocillios Apartments to be comfortable and adequate.
Simple but good value for money, they were a slight walk from the main town but the taxis are quite cheap which is useful, especially in the evenings. The TV came in handy one evening, a bath would have been nice but the shower was excellant. Other than that I found the place fine, as I said good value for money, simple and comfy.

If you’re looking for discos and karaoke bars this is not the place for you. If you’re looking for a relaxing break with the opportunity to go to more bars only a few Euro taxi ride then this is it.
We were lucky with our apartment, we had the end one upstairs which had a very large balcony, the others seem to be quite a bit smaller. We didn't go to the pool area as our balcony was so large. Ask for room 39 if you get the chance. The maid service was far from fabulous and we've had comfier beds but overall you get what you pay for and this was good enough value for money although I wouldn't go back there.
Recommend the Timanfaya trip also.
