Next to the Puerta del Sol, the hotel offers all the comforts of a modern hotel to business or weekend travellers, in the heart of the city, with the best communications with all the city right to its front door.
This hotel has a really good location- just off the busier roads of Gran Via and the main square of Puerta del Sol is a short walk.
The hotel is well decorated and air con in bedroom is top class. Also good safe in room and staff were friendly, spoke ok English, and helpful if we had any requests.
Tips for madrid - Watch for taxi drivers who add on to your fare by taking you over the whole city - it cost us 20 euros in a taxi from hotel to airport. (the driver who took us from airport to hotel charged us 30) - Go to the outdoor swimming pool if you want a break from the hustle of the city - its next to the metro station - Lago and called Casa del Campo Piscina. -Also you can get a ticket for 10 metro journeys that only cost 6 euros which is a bargain -Its too hot to walk around Madrid for long in the summer anyway -Also go to the palace on a Wednesday when it is free entry for anyone with a EU passport.
If you want an expensive restaurant go to DLS or the Urban Hotel.
