Hotel Description:

The Riyad Al Moussika hotel is situated in the ancient medina of Marrakech, a 5-minute walk from JemÔa El Fna Square. The property was once one of the residences of the former Pasha of Marrakech, Thami El Glaoui. It has been refurbished to an extremely high standard with rigorous respect of the Andalusian style. A great attention has been payed to modern accessories in order to obtain the highest levels of comfort.

" Riad Al Moussika : THE place to stay in Marrakech! "

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had and certainly tops for Marrakech. House is beautiful, built around three lovely courtyards, staff attentive, friendly, and charming, but the standout thing here is the food-- we lingered over breakfast and kept hurrying back for lunch (both included). One night had dinner in with friends-- best meal in Morocco. Their homemade marmalade may be the best I've had. Now that the re-designed La Mamounia looks like a movie theater lobby, the Hotel Riad Al Moussika is The place to stay in Marrakech.

" The best location, finest foods and all with the highest level of service from a dedicated team in the magical Marrakech "

You can see a short film I posted on you tube which shows the Riyad and a look at Marrakech at www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUJWpAsmbLc
I read the reviews about the Riyad Al Moussika on tripadvisor and agree with many of the reviewers when they say that this is the place to stay whilst in Marrakech. I needed a relaxing break and all the stress of cancelled and delayed flights were soon forgotten. What is even more special is the history and exquisite quality and design of the Riyad together with friendly atmosphere especialy for those with families. You really do feel like you are staying at a former Mansion of the Pasha of Marrakech. Upon arriving at the Riyad we were greeted by Hassan the manager and other staff with a splendid array of Moroccan snacks and mint tea. We were made to feel at home right from the very start and my children simple loved every second of their experience at the Riyad. Hassan is an intelligent and lovely gentleman who went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable on our trip including personally accompanying us in showing us the famous Jemma Al Fna sqaure and Al Badi and El Bahi palace which were ideally located nearby. The stay at Riyad included breakfast and lunch fit for a King or Queen. The quality of the food was simple amazing (Gordon Ramsey & Jamie Oliver eat your heart out) in short and the freshly squeezed orange juice is out of this world. You can still eat evening dinner at the Riyad at an additional cost or they will happily assist in organising a booking elswhere. We particularly appreciated the tour of the Ourika Valley and other sight seeing tours organised by the Riyad. We had the same driver Khalid for most of our journeys and he really looked after us and I recommend you ask for him to add value to your stay. Simple things like arranging the horse carriage to take us from the Riyad to save us haggling in the square to helping us pack our Tagine to take back gave us the 'home from home' feeling. Overall the Riyad caters flexibly to your needs whilst offering the best experience of Marrakech. For value for money, 100%, you will live and feel like the Pasha. I have stayed in many places all over the world and some are things are just priceless, the Riyad Al Moussika is one of the. I left a few shirts at the Riyad by mistake but Hassan sent them without delay back to me. I will definitely return one day and congratulate everyone from the chefs, staff, receptionists and management for making this an experience of a lifetime for guests from around the world.

" Riad Al Moussika Hotel Marrakech : A great staff, outstanding rooms, the perfect location and very good food too. "

We, (a group of 6 friends from UK), stayed in Marrakech at Riad Al Moussika Hotel, ( http://www.riyad-al-moussika.com/ ) in June and had a wonderful experience! The staff was great from the moment we arrived. Everyone was friendly, we received incredible rooms with terrace and/or windows overlooking the beautiful swimming pool and garden and the Moorish court. The rooms were immaculate and were beautifully furnished with authentic paintings and antique Moroccan furniture. My huge bathtub was great after walking all day. Very nice library, with a large selection as well of English books about Morocco and Moroccan culture. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone. A great staff, outstanding rooms, the perfect location and very good food too.

Advice: Nice city very special not to say unique!!

" Riad Al Moussika : Amazing place ! "

We just returned from a 5 day holiday in Marrakech. Riad Al Moussika was our base to explore the medina and for trips to the coast and to the Atlas mountains. The riad is a carefully and tastefully restored historical building which offers a quiet retreat after a busy day in the pulsating city. There are only 6 bedrooms and many additional sitting rooms including a well stocked library and a room with a grand piano. The weather in january was too cold to use the pool in the beautiful courtyard but we thoroughly enjoyed to relax in the hamam. Breakfast is of very good quality and the lunches were among the best meals we had in Marrakech. The personel is competent and very helpful and offers a friendly, personalized service. Restaurants and Transportation are suggested on request and promtly organized. We highly recommend this riyad!

" The service was impeccable and the food served by the Chef Cordon bleu, to die for "

My wife and I stayed at Riad Al Moussika hotel for four nights in early January, and it was definitely one of the highlights of our journey to Morocco! Our choice of the hotel was made completely on the suggestion of Daniel Jacobs on The Observer, Sunday December 21 2008, and on Trip Advisor reviews: Before arriving, we were wondering if we have made the good choice, but the minute we walked in, we realized that Riyad Al Moussika was beyond all our expectations. We got an amazing room (the green one) with a private terrace and a beautiful loggia in front that overlooked the mature trees garden and the nice swimming pool, and all the Riad was done in very capturing style. The service of the boys was impeccable and the food served by the Chef Cordon bleu, to die for. The Riad itself is very beautiful and authentically Moroccan and we felt very much like home.

" Riyad Al Moussika a place that has stopped time "

The Riyad Al Moussika, ( www.riyad-al-moussika.com ), where I spent with friends a long weekend at the beginning of our journey to the south of Morocco in early January, is a place that has stopped time, where the magical atmosphere, relives Morocco of Pasha of 1800, but with all the comfort of our century. Everything is perfect, authentic, calm, serene...
I recommend strongly this hotel for its central location, even for the excellent and very professional service provided by the young boys of the staff, always smiling and present without being intrusive.
The chef and owner, Khalid, a nice and helpful big boy, who speaks I do not know how many languages, but among them an excellent Italian that has enabled me to know a world of things about authentic Marrakech, thing impossible otherwise, due to my language limitations, and, most important, who cooks in divine way.
I conclude that the value for money is very good considering that the copious breakfast and the courses haute cuisine lunch, (by far the best of all restaurants in Marrakech and Morocco, where we ate), are included in rate.
Only one regret: Having been there for 4 nights only!
