Allstar Grand Onder Hotel

I booked our group of seven into this hotel for three days starting the 27th of September. It was our base to visit Ephesus and Aphrodesias. The parrot which caused one animal loving reviewer so much distress has gone. I had a twin bedded room with balcony overlooking the hotel swimming pool, the marina and the bay. Please note: I did not stay at this hotel but it was right beside the one I was staying at and I had a terrible experience with it. The internet at my hotel was down so I walked up the hill and asked the front desk if I could possibly use thiers. After informing them that no I was not a guest at their hotel but explained the unfortunate situation at my hotel and that I desperately needed to email home the front desk person said 'no'. Stayed here as part of a package deal on half-board basis. I would have much rather stayed in Selcuk for transportation convenience and just had the opportunity to visit Kusadasi and admire the views of the Aegean. However, my opinion would probably be different had I visited in the warmer months as the area gets quite hot and the hotel has a pool. This hotel sits on the hillside above Kusadasi (which is a pretty steep little hike up from the village), and it overlooks the Aegean -- a view I only got to enjoy from the lobby.... more

Grand might be a bit misleading, but the room was clean (although the bed was very, very hard!) The rooms seem very old, although the common areas are quite nicely decorated and look modern. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room, so that was OK. The food in the breakfast buffet was pretty good. Not great, but OK. Staff weren't particularly friendly, but we didn't experience any real problems.

I was looking to go too Turkey for two weeks and the house we were meant to be staying in fell through one week before i flew off. My friend and I then decided to get a hotel booked and found this one..... Must say it was the best thing i found on the Internet The Hotel was clean and the staff VERY VERY friendly and Helpful. Older Hotel - I found their website missleading as I expected modern Hotel decore. Its very dated. Hotel must be 40-50 years old. At checkout they tried to charge me for minibar items I never had. About 30 TL. I did not pay. It was a scam. This was at 4:30 am Wed April 5, 2006. I was rushed to catch a flight out of Izmir.
