We booked this hotel for a 3 nights stay at 60Euros per night on payment on arival basis. They were quick in responding to confirming the rooms and promised a free pick-up. We had provided all details of flight and lo to our surprise did not see anybody wait at the arrivals. When contacted (after 45 mins of waiting) they requested that the driver will be in 10 mins and we obliged them that we would opt the drop service if driver hasnt started. But as per requested we waited for another 20 mins. We again called them as we were wasting our time standing in the airport and mentioned that we would take a taxi and use their drop-service instead. They asked us to take a taxi (they took our mobile no but never called us). We reached the hotel and they were smart to take our cash immediately. When we complained that we wasted an hr of wait plus 2 phone calls and requested that we be dropped back on return - they refused to do so and mentioned that it was our own decission to take the taxi and the hotel had only requested us to wait at the airport and not come on our own (The first LIE). Apparently the taxi dropped as a km from hotel as there was a road block (He was charging more for the taxi - beware to confirm the rates before you step in to the taxi - 30Liras nominal). The staff at the hotel was so arrogant, to top it all the manager walks in from inside and screams at us when we accused them of lying to us and not calling us or texting us on the delay. We decided not to anyways use their service even if offered after an argument. Since the location was the best we decided to stay there. The rooms were very very small - not worth if you have a family of 3. Dont know whey they provide slippers to walk in the room when there is just no space in the room. It is the size of a normal bathroom I would say. The location, cleanliness was the best in the hotel and since we were there for tourism and there was no sense asking for a room change we did not bother to ask them. Breakfast was nominal and sufficient. Overall the room is simply worth only for 30Euros a night, If you need a relaxing place to vent Ipek is not the right choice.

This is a lovely hotel, very nicely priced. The rooms aren’t very spacious but they are cleaned everyday.
There is a roof top restaurant as well as a restaurant joined onto the hotel. Room service is free, and if you don’t feel like going out, you can always go to the restaurant and order your food and have it brought up to your room.
One of the staff - Aziz is a lovely man, they can’t help you enough, brilliant place and would definitely go back. It’s close to all amenities and is spot on.

Date of stay: 27th March to 31st March 2010
When we arrived we were shown to a room right beside the bar. The room itself was fine, clean and tidy, if a little rustic, furnished in "authentic Turkish" style, with an ensuite shower only. There was, however, a lot of noise from the bar, so we asked to change, which was done efficiently, and without fuss.
The reception staff could not have been more helpful, and we asked their advice frequently for directions, suitable eateries, transport etc.
The restaurant on the roof was adequate for breakfast, but not great. If you like a lot of stale savoury pastries, this is the place for you. When asked where the ordinary breakfast tea could be found, the manager of the restaurant was extremely sarcastic in stark contrast to the rest of the staff, who were lovely.
We didn't eat there in the evening, so can't comment on whether it improves later in the day.
The standard accomodation was adequate and clean, and the plumbing all worked, with lashings of hot water.
We had a Haman organised through the hotel, which was not cheap, but was definitely fabulous, and worth every penny.
The main drawback was that hotel was tht it was right next to a development/building site, and there was quite a bit of construction noise, sometimes late into the night.
The main point of going to Istanbul is to see the city, so you won't spend too much time there. Simply put the hotel is good enough for a short break, but don't expect to be too impressed....
