Zeynep Sultan Hotel

We stayed at this hotel a few weeks ago and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel owner was a big factor. You could find him in the breakfast room each morning and he searched customers out to learn how they were doing and if he could offer any ideas. In addition, this has to be the best location in Istanbul. We were within walking distance of everything from the Sophia Mosque, the Blue Mosque, the Palace, the Grand Bazaar and the Spice Bazaar. The location, price and service make this an outstanding hotel in Istanbul. The staff and owners went out of their way to help us during our stay. They really treat you like family! I would only stay in this hotel if I came back to Istanbul. It was suberb!

Situated literally 5 minutes walk from the centre of the old area and 15 minutes walk to the harbour area where you can get ferries to various destinations. The Grand Bazaar is 10 minutes walk just off Divan Yolu. It is also close to tram stations. Oh yes... and 5 minutes walk to Topkapi! There are also numerous restaurants and cafes both to the north and south of the hotel and a few small supermarkets nearby. The owner of the hotel is around most of the time which gives the hotel a real personal feel and is on hand to offer advice... more

For the price and location, I doubt if you could find a better hotel. Yes the rooms are small, but for all the time you spend in the hotel it is an easy sacrifice. The room was clean, towels were replaced every day and the staff were very polite. For a no frills, clean, central located hotel; I would not hesitate to recommend the Zeynep Sultan.

I stayed at the Zeynep Sultan Hotel last week for 4 nights while in Istanbul. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anybody. The staff were friendly and spoke English very well, breakfast was excellent, and the rooms were clean and well-apportioned. The location was great and I would definitely stay there again. However, if arriving or leaving during the day, I would not take advantage of the 20 Euro transfer to/from the airport because you can take a taxi for 20 YTL. We just returned from spending a week at the zeynep sultan hotel in Istanbul. I booked this hotel because of reviews I had read on TripAdvisor. I was not disappointed. The hotel has a great location, near all the main tourist sights but on a quiet street. Our room was small but immaculate and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was great, lots of hot water. Breakfast was included and served in a rooftop room with wonderful views of the city and mosques. The reviews are 100% accurate. Location is fab, views of Mosque exactly as on website. My wife and I stayed at the Zeynep Sultan for a week. We found it to be a wonderful place. Yes, the room was small, but we didn't spend a whole lot of time there anyway. Other than that, the staff and the owner were extremely friendly and helpful. If you're looking for things to do in Istanbul, forget the organized tours and just talk with the hotel staff. They can point you in the right direction. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.

Ibraham is the owner of this charming hotel. He lived in Los Angles for 25 years so he is aware of what Americans look for when they travel. Every morning Ibraham would sit at our breakfast table for 5 minutes and help us plan our daily adventure. Three of us went on a short adventure to Istanbul over a gray, rainy weekend and stayed at the Zeynep. This small, nicely run hotel couldn't have been a better! It was my first time to Istanbul and the Zeynep was the perfect launching point. You could fall into the major tourist attractions like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Topkapi Palace.
