We had a wonderful week in these apartments. Kept clean as was pool area. Dining Room half board meals were excellent and good service from wine waiter.
Holiday spoiled by buying a digital video camcorder supposedly £700 in Britain sold us for 321 Euros(£229) but when seeing in another shop for 155 (£110) complained they said business was business till we phoned the police on advice from other shop. They then credited us with 110 Euros (£78) thus paying £151 on returning home you can get same on the internet for £115. Another couple we met had bought a camera for £489 which cost £139 in the UK. I have written to Direct Holidays about this. Be Warned!!!!

This was our second time at the Puerto Tahiche, and as I remembered it, was a little bit disappointing. The room was clean, but the pool area was disgusting with dirty nappies left all over the place, (really it is up to the parents!) You have to queue for a sun bed at 8.00am, and if you sleep in then you have had it.
The area is great for food and also the beach, which is just across the road.
On the whole had a good holiday, but don’t think I will ever be back.

Good location but what a dump the apartments were. Cramped, filthy, shabby. Rubbish was everywhere on the complex, the toilets near the pool was overflowing. The accommodation that was issued to us was a big disappointment, we ended up being moved to a complete different apartment as our apartment was overrun with cockroaches. not just one or two, but on every surface in that apartment. apparently there are older apartments that the Airtours have and newer apartments that are available to direct travel. We were very unlucky with our apartment. we were moved to the Teguise Golf, which was in not so good location, but was a lot nicer and cleaner. These apartments must have been used for the overflow of people who complained about the Puerto Tahiche as we met many people who had been moved from there with similar complaints to ours. It was that bad that when I go abroad now I cannot sleep without the light being left on.

I thought this hotel was really good. Considering we got it Cheap. There is a large pool area, however it did get really busy and we only ventured to the pool once during the week stay.
The beach is luckily very close and we headed there instead!. Its a pretty quiet resort and only one main nightclub, which wasn’t very good. however there is many nice atmosphered pubs for people a bit older than myself as i was only 18. However it was still overall good for night activities as we headed to the Bulldog karaoke bar just outside the main entrance of the hotel. And this was open till roughly 3am.
Overall I think the hotel had many amenities, but was just a bit busy to ever have a chance to use them. But still a good hotel choice for the area its situated and helpful staff.
