Orient Express Hotel

I visit Istanbul at least once a year, and I will only stay at the Orient Express Hotel. The management and amenities are excellent. The staff is professional, energetic, and efficient. Everyone is treated well, and receives immediate attention. The location is wonderful, as it is near many of the main attractions of Istanbul, and amidst a very colorful neighhood filled with many shops and restaurants. It was a trip which was remarkable cause it was short trip and everything has to be organize in a proper way. Anyway there is always something going wrong and surprise surprise the staff of the hotel was amazing helpful and I DO appreciate there knowledges and their feeling of helping tourists! Bless them! GOOD GOOD REMARKABLE GOOD. Please don´t hesitate to try this fantastic hotel if you want to go for Instanbul - I really want to suggest it cause you will take Istanbul to your heart! Have just returned from a three night stay at the Orient Express, and have to say that I was very impressed. As previous reviewers have said, it's just a short walk to all the major tourist sights (and all the hangouts of the carpet sellers!), and the tram stop is just up the road. Rooms are average in size...just fine if you're not planning on inviting friends over for a Whirling Dervish party in your room! Went to this hotel based on reviews here and booked through eBookers. Very handy location - just down from the Hagia Sophia and up from the Golden Horn. It's a perfectly pleasant hotel - and in this city you wouldn't expect to do more than sleep in it. As mentioned, my room was small but the bathroom was very good. Very tidy and clean. I wanted to thank the entire staff for their hospitality during my recent stay. The hotel as well as Istanbul was a wonderful holiday and I look forward to returning at a future date. The hotel was a pleasant surprise -- the food, the rooms, the staff... all were first class. After searching for a month on the internet, asking friends (from Turkey) and calling up hotels directly, we made our final decision based on comments of members on this website - and how true they were to their word (that is the ones that rated the hotel highly). My husband and I just came back from Istanbul....Since the beginning every single person at the hotel was very courteous and helpful. The room was extremely neet and clean. The hotel location was very centric which made it convenient ... The first day because of the time change we woke up at midnight and the kitchen was closed, but they were nice enough to bring a couple of sandwiches up to our room.... Just got back from a couple of nights stay at this lovely hotel. Room is small when you are used to larger chain hotels. Room was very clean and had good bathroom, shower only. Great location for everything..... Has only a few non smoking rooms so ensure you get a booking note requesting one room on the the top two floors. Had a great meal on the roof terrace, best grilled Sea Bass I have eaten in Istanbul and not expensive for a hotel. Will stay there again

just returned from five days in Istanbul, staying at the Orient Express. The staff were incredibly efficient and polite, and did not try to sell any trips or tours. The room was small (being a single room) but perfectly well apponinted and the bathroom was spotless. The room overlooked the street and you can hear the trams but they are not intrusive.
