Very nice hotel
I stayed one week in this hotel, and everything was perfect, Food was great, and the price was good as well, rooms were clean and but little bit small, all the staff were so kind to us, as well all of them can speak English and french, the hotel is very well situated, not so much noisy, and 5 minutes walk to all tourist attractions, plus all these things you can use sauna and HAMAM as well. I want to thank you the manager and all staffs.
Not worth staying in this hotel
I booked this hotel based on the Trip Advisor Reviews. I made a mistake. I should have followed my instinct. Rooms are small and AC is on fan. Our room was broken into, stole traveling documents and credit cards. The hotel receptionist refused to call the police and was told to wait in the morning. My frined has to go down to the Police station to report. We have to extend for another day as we waited for the paspport replacements but was charged without any courtesies offered to compensate our inconvenience. No report... more
A Avarage Hotel
We chose to visit Istanbul for our first wedding anniversary as my wife had not been there before. I requested a room with a view by e-mail which the hotel assured we would get. On arrival we were given a internal room with a view of an air shaft, and reception would not honor their promise and move us, not a good start. The room was a good size in a fair condition, it has a very good shower and a safety deposit box. Breakfast was of a good quality with a good selection. Dinner was on the expensive side, but again it is everywhere in... more
Okay hotel was first hotel on our tour
We arrived at this hotel as a first hotel on our 17 day Western Turkey tour by Pacha Tours. This hotel was average with somewhat dated rooms that were small (even by European standards) and could have used some refreshing of drapes and bedspreads and carpet. It was May and not so warm but at night it got stuffy and there was no air conditioning. We had to leave the window open with no screen and there was noise from a restaurant across the alley (our view.) This hotel was not the highlight of our stay. Fortunately, Istanbul was... more
Great view, great location, great deal of noise - little sleep
As you can see the hotel is a triangular shape - and the side connected/adjacent to the rest of the block, is up against a shoe factory, which can operate until midnight (as we found out), and can start at the crack of dawn, and which you can clearly hear (especially when you want to sleep). So I wouldn't recommend a room at that end of the hotel (specifically room 314) - and the staff leave a lot to be desired in helping out the situation (going so far as lying so they don't have to do any thing). Oh and don't get a room next to any... more
Great place
1. This is a great hotel for the price you pay. 2. The hotel staff takes really personal interest to make your stay comfortable. 3. The rooms are little small as compared to western standards but comfortable and clean. 4. The breakfast served is quite ok considering that it is included in the price. The hotel management personally is present there every morning over looking the breakfast service. the choices are not that great and even though its the same breakfast everyday - but thats what it is everywhere. 5. I... more
Great value and perfect location
This charming little hotel is perfectly situated within walking distance of all the sites in the Sultanhamet area. Our room was extremely tiny, but in a city like Istanbul, who spends time in the room? Just about a block from the Grand Bazaar and no more than 3-4 from the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi. Very nice little restaurant and comfortable, enjoyable bar. We would definitely stay there again if in Istanbul.
Perfect hotel
We were booked to stay in another hotel (Royal) which had an appalling review here on Trip Advisor, so we asked the travel agency to find an alternative. I don't know how bad the other one might have been, but the Aziyade was fantastic. It's in a small quiet street leading up to Grand Bazaar, within a few minutes walk of everything one might want to visit. There are several simple but excellent restaurants within a few yards of the hotel - we would recommend Fatih, a little way up the hill on the other side of the road. The staff... more
ok hotel
The rooms were very very small and the staff would not turn on the air conditioner, we had to leave our windows open and the noise outside was very loud until all hours of the night, would not stay here again. Meals were good
Short Climb, Great Value
I stayed at the Aziyade in Istanbul April 2-6, 2004. It's a very nice hotel, and an excellent bargain. The rooms were small by US standards, but quite large compared to what you usually find in European cities like Paris. They are nicely decorated and I found the beds very comfortable.I was able to find a price 25% less than the hotel web site by searching the Internet, and this included a large breakfast buffet that offered cereals, warm breads, hot eggs, and the typical turkish breakfast of cucumbers, tomatoes and cheese. It's a great... more
